  • Start battery defective after driving

    My Phaeton (3.0 D, year 2011, 31 tkm) has battery problems. However, these do not make themselves noticeable when starting, but only after a ride. At the beginning of May I parked the car after a journey of approx. 120 km for a break at a motorway road station. Until then there were no problems with the battery. When I wanted to start the car after a short break, the battery failed and the vehicle could not be started. I was then dropped off to the nearest workshop Leppt. There was diagnosed a defect of the battery. A cause for the defect was not found and a new battery was installed. Last week it was time again. The same rest site, the same defect, the same workshop. Again the same battery was defective and a cause was not found. I took over the car in November with a stand of 7,500 km and had to the first battery defect except for an accident in which the left side of the form of a The car is used almost exclusively for the long distance. However, I use different consumers: car telephone, in the stand also the TV, in front a TomTom hangs on the socket (ugly, but with the best real-time traffic messages) and if I do not drive myself, a charger for the notebook and a charger for a mobile phone hang at the rear of the sockets.     Hello, as the first owner I have bought a 3.0 TDI GP2 from 12/2009 with 91,000 km. My warranty extension of VW goes until December 2015 to 120,000km. I recently had a defect at the steering hydraulics. After the first appearance of the Jaul noises I immediately drove about 8 km to the next VW workshop. Some hose should have been rusted. As a result the hydraulic oil was almost empty. As work scope I was able to restore the hydraulic system with Aust Since then it has been over with the outstanding comfort properties of the Phaeton. On the motorway there is a disturbance with vibrations as with unbalanced tires at all speeds and the car is very loud. Especially when it comes to giving gas, there is strong roaring. In the stand, vibrations of the engine are noticeable in the interior.   • Air conditioning service at Volkswagen

    Hello all, my fat guy (GP2, BJ. 2009) had had the problem for a few weeks that Die Airconditioning no longer produced cold air. Then I made an appointment (my first) at a VW workshop. VW offers a holiday check (15€) at which all important functions are checked. On the spot I learned then that a check of the air conditioning in the holiday check is not included. The nice staff told me that you can check the air conditioning, but this imme r is connected to an emptying and replenishment of the system. This would cost about 130+€. I agreed, because I am currently a lot on the road and urgently needed the air conditioning. After 5 hours I got a call, which the car is finished and the air conditioning also works again. On the spot I tested this and all worked excellent again. Then came the surprise on the bill. For the maintenance and replenishment of the air conditioning there were not listed 130+€, s a package price of 89.99€ incl. taxes. In addition, it was washed and sucked free of charge. All around a good experience with the service of VW.

    Hello you love, for about 2 weeks my Phaeton is very loud. So the quietness of the running down. I try to describe the feeling of how I was taking this noise. Whether I’m speeding / driving on N place or normal, a swinging noise comes out of the engine compartment! it’s louder / feels like the engine has difficulty / it swings really fast / as if I didn’t have enough lubrication / very dull / if I get faster and the speed rises, “sch swingts” faster. I hope this will get you further. In addition, when I start the engine it squeaks a little bit, but still squeaks. That’s 90% of the belt (keilippen strap) but do you think that could be it? If yes how expensive is it to let something change?

  • Kilometer display on display

    Hello, have a Phaeton built in 2003 with the mileage standing on a stand and always appears in alternation with the display Error. Thought first that the error appears due to the error display of the tire pressure sensors. But that is apparently another construction site. Now I have the problem that the display remains on a stand and I can not access the mileage with a diagnostic device. Did someone like the communication between driving performance and display occur and which control unit supervises this task? Hope that I do not have to replace the whole amature display. According to VW, the car had always been with the same km status during the inspection since 11.2011. They had already developed the dashboard and used it again. Now I don’t know if the previous owner has tried to change the stand (car comes from Luxenburg) and made a mistake.
