  • Brake replacement – now hardly any braking effect

    Today I had the opportunity to go with a business friend in his S class (S 500) Punkomüchte. The car is about 7 months old, and has almost 30,000 KM on the tacho. Otherwise I can only say, the ride feeling and especially the space offered is absolute top! If one considers that the S class is also no bigger than a Phaeton, one asks oneself where this great space feeling comes from. The seat is perfect. If I make the seat completely back, I can not get to the pedals with my 192 cm body length. For me as a seat giant the place is even with a raised seat and with SD to the top gigantic. Schade VW with the Phaeton can not keep there. My business friend wanted to drive once W12. So we made a small round around “Dorf”. After a KhaM he meant “be softly” and “That’s got away from the good stuff.”

    In the Touareg Facelift the 3.0 TDI with EU6 emission standard and 262 hp is now available. Is this engine possible this year from KW45 also in Phaeton? With a revised automatic transmission you should then come to a standard consumption of 7 to 7.5 l/100 km. Might not mean so much effort for VW but an effective improvement. @Volkswagen: Please implement! The Phaeton has earned it!!

  • Buy Phaeton or rather not!?

    Hello to everyone, I know it always bugs you to see this topic again and again but I would like to get a second opinion. So I looked at this P. today and tried it out: Phaeton So the car is 2nd hand, was probably already done among other things gearbox replaced, compressor replaced, 1st shocker in front replaced. Unfortunately everything without proof since it allegedly ran all over an additional warranty and this also paid the things. Check booklet has only 2 entries and that in 120tkm!? Gear changed everything well and nice but when driving was a slight jerking during the gear change to feel, according to the current holder this is only when the car is cold. TÜV today is new with the lack of rubber on front axle porös and oil in the engine compartment, on the engine cover under the car it was slightly oily. For this the big inspection in November is due. From inside and outside the car is well maintained, always only hand wash. The seller was also just washing the car when I came and when it was ready, the headlights from Berlin said something about it was worth.

    Hello together am new here and need your advice: I bought a V10 with 72 000km/jg 2004 about 6 months ago and was very satisfied at the beginning. But after three months ( 8000km, half davo highway) started: – both turbos have said goodbye (were both replaced on warranty) – vibrations at the front left about from 80km/h upwards is getting worse and worse than 140 are not conceivable when braking even the brake pedal vibrates massively, it beats right. The Michelin tires described in my last contributions(255/40-19, PS2) have run about 30,000km and show still 4.5mm. I am satisfied. Now to the question: My Phaeton loses for some time in small amounts of cooling water. When slow driving not at all, when speedy driving, I did not hear any emulsion in the oil circuit, therefore no penetration of water in Selbigen.
