I’m waiting for my particle filter 4 months and the vw dealership tells me I should still be patient for how long??? have bought the V10 tdi from those in December and still wait for the filter someone from you has had to wait so long, too,? I can’t drive in with the almost nowhere because everything around me are environmental zones what should I do that can give you that please around your experiences with it if present

Hello, I’m thinking about buying a used Phaeton instead of an A6 3.0 TDI. Is there a very good offer with a little KM and about 3-4 years old it looks good. Here in the forum there are many specialists with Phaeton experience. What do I have to pay attention to if I buy a vehicle with year 2005/2006 and possibly just under 1oo.ooo KM? Or should one invest more and buy a newer one for it? How is that with the ski bag or loader. Does one really take care of the skis? And otherwise – boot? I come from Avant therefore the maybe doofen questions but the Phaeton is also a nice car. Stand heating YES/NO? AHK YES/NO? Where are the best offers? Thank you very much. Mfg H.R.

Hello municipality, VW boasts that the Phaeton has never needed a call back before. I have often wondered why there are never any calls back because of the slow crystallizing lump risks (shutting loudspeakers, fixed wipers, defective cables on the servo-case, etc.). At least, some of the safety-relevant parts are affected and VW is proven to be a serial error. Now I have found the following article: Dismissed petrol. And the last sentence makes me really stubborn… Without knowing the constructions of Bentley and VW en detail, it is more and more obvious to me that VW deliberately doesn’t make any calls back… It’s also good for image and checkout. And the satisfied (Phaeton) customer is, as you can read here again and again, anyway not necessarily primary goal at VW. Is now thinking loudly – but I’m wrong about it? Greetings Matthias p.s. And before the argument comes back: it doesn’t matter if it’s just as easy to do it before the manufacturer.

Since I am concerned with the decision about a new Phaeton, the question arises because of an attractive dealer offer: long or normal. I have already read about the legendary better driving comfort here. But I am self-driver, therefore my question about this everyday problem: How about the long one? Problems in the parking garage, does he look in parking bays in the rear disturbingly far out etc.? From my experience it is often difficult to find a parking space already with the “normal” version. Of the partly narrow Frankfurt parking garages quite not to mention. And here I do not mean the actual parking width which demands partly snake-like dislocations, but the partly only limited existing turning circles, etc. So, the 12 cm – felt from the driver’s seat – actually make much of it? Never driven a long version, therefore my perhaps somewhat naive question. Thank you for your answers.

Hello everybody, I have a very strange mistake in the Navi since this morning: The marking arrow shows the last position of the vehicle from yesterday afternoon although I am about 40km away in another place. the new route is calculated from the position of yesterday afternoon and the system constantly tries to bring me to the open view miscalculated distance there is no update of the location. In other words: the Navi is of the opinion I am somewhere else and the map does not change, only the friendly lady in the background constantly reports: Recalculation of the route Does anyone know the problem?????

Hi, is there the possibility to upgrade a W12 relatively cost-effectively so that I can castrate the W12 to 6 cylinders in urban traffic? Currently I also think about a gas system. Does someone have experience with the 12-er 2008 and gas? (Have read a lot already but it’s best for me to learn from first hand) (costs with car-becker?)

Hello together, Since my Phaeton has been standing under a tree according to VW due to the clogged processes on the windshield the engine control unit failed. Price something with 1.600,-€ After the test drive you find now, that also the gear control unit besides mechatronics still has to be replaced. (here the dealer directly asked VW, therefore according to error protocol also came this statement) Cost without installation 2.600,- besides also a regulator on the turbo some adjustment motor and already I am incl. installation at 7,000,- Kulanz at bj. 2006 and 125 TKM (3l TDI) nit. Can this all be? Any tips what I can still do (gear control unit can probably not be repaired, I already have telephoned) Just so swallow and pay, or still other possibilities? Best Grusss Achim

The maximum size of the SD card for the 810 has already been clarified: 32GB How big can the external hard disk be, which can be connected via USB connection in the glove compartment? Which formats can the 810 Media Player play (is here primarily about movies)? I have no idea about the things, but can remember that with my satellite receiver only the second hard disk (for HD recording) really funzte (the first one was too lame).

Moin Together one must have studied to animate the interior light to light at the Phaeton when opening the door? Switch (Fzg. with open door) in the roof unit is pressed/lights yellow. Does this actually stay on after ignition change? When I open the door does not go on anything. When I press the switch next to it it goes on….
