  • New rims

Hello together, In search of 20″ rims for my thickness (V10) I was quite disappointed, like many others probably. But last week I fell in love (see photo). The data are correct: 20″ 9J, load capacity: 950 kg, only the free-access was still open. But in my youthful euphoria I then struck and was lucky to find out last week that everything fits! Only the necessary centrings from 57.1 to 66.6 mm are missing. Next week it goes with the report and a comparison opinion for the individual acceptance (no expert report for the thickness available) and then there are also new photos. How do you find the rims? SG Alex PS. The evil logo on the rim and the supplied hub caps are of course still converted

  • Did you give your Phaeton a name?

wolfgolfplus asked an interesting question at the Phaeton Forum last year “what do Phaeton drivers work?” I found it exciting that there were many interesting answers…, great questioning.. Most of them love your Phaeton and I noticed that some even gave names (Karl 1, after Karl 2) that made me smile and get to this questioning might become a cheering correspondence. Fire free! Does your Phaeton have a name and maybe even the name of a Klaus-Bärbel? LG Gerhard (my name doesn’t have a name yet, let’s see, maybe I’ll be inspired)

  • Sliding roof and windows close up after engine stop and door

Moin, what bothers me if I turn off the engine and the ignition is off and the passenger opens his door, I can’t get the sliding roof and the windows anymore. Even if the closing has been initiated before the door is opened, the process is simply canceled. Can you change the fact that he at least doesn’t break that which has already started? Comfort closure is also not possible.

  • 2 measure oil for the Phaeton Diesel

Hello everyone, have recently read some very interesting contributions on the topic of ds Zumisches from 2Takt oil to diesel vehicles. In other contributions the added value of the Premium Diesel brands was discussed. Conclusion: 0 Added value only higher price. Mixes any of you 2 measure oil to his diesel in the Phaeton and there are experiences. The experiences with other diesels from the e.g. forum seem to be clear. I think I will do it soon.http://www.auto-treff.com/…/showthread.php?… Gruss capdoc

  • 1 tire defective, all 4 tires renewed?

Yesterday I managed to damage with the right front tyres on a curb. The tire has burst on the flank, has to be replaced as if and can certainly not be repaired. My question, do I have to change all 4 tyres or is that enough? In the operating instructions I find that the tyres should be changed as complete as possible (i.e. all 4 at the same time), at another point of the operating instructions it is said that the tyres can be replaced with varying degrees of wear from front to back. What now? Would be nice if you could help me. Greeting Jörg

  • Buy – or fingers off?

Hello, I am currently without a mobile kit, but I urgently need a vehicle (for about 1 year) that reliably brings me 70Km of easy distance over the highway to my workplace. A buddy borrowed a Phaeton (6cylinder) from his company and now I think about whether you can buy the good piece. The maintenance condition is “under all sow”, especially with the bright interior equipment this is of course bad, even the preparation at a specialized company helped only marginally. The car jerks when accelerating, not always, but more often. The control unit for the tire pressure control is probably defective, the front disc has a crack, but should still be taken over by the partial cascade, various pinned rust spots also has the good piece. Navi-DVD is missing. I once read out the fault memory and attached the relevant part. EZ is November 2004, mileage is about 265,000. What else can you spend for this? Thanks for reading and for tips Josef

  • My name is Udo, what’s your name?

Good day, my name is Udo, my Nick is, as can be seen, A346. My Nick is still uncomplicated, others, however, straddle with five X, 4 M and 8 Z. Was only an example, which Nick does not exist. Is also: aaabbb001nullkommanix, again just one example! Yes, will be in an anonymous forum. But so anonymous that I have to break my fingers on the keyboard, in order to, politely as I am, address the Nick by name, can it not be. What does it say against calling his first name? Privacy? Ne, rather not. A little bit personal, and whether it is just the signing of a contribution with the first name, would also be able to take the sharpness out of some inconspicuous discussion. My opinion. My day as Udo was beautiful! LG Udo

  • Cheap new car leasing for the Phaeton 5-seater 3.0 V6 TDI 4Motion

Hello, at the moment I’m going to take a BMW E60 – Leasing end is scheduled for March 2011. After that I’m thinking about whether I have an A6, E-Class, new 5 or a Phaeton 5 seater 3.0 V6 TDI 4Motion lease. I’ve got some time. I’ve now got an offer from the VW dealer regarding the Phaeton 5 seater 3.0 V6 TDI 4Motion as new car: The configuration with the different equipments resulted in a total fare of Br. 86.065 EUR. Leasing duration: 24 months / No leasing special payment / 30,000 km per year gross leasing rate 898 EUR. This corresponds here to a leasing factor of 1.04. I had the V6 TDI for 1 day to the sample and must say already, a very valuable car with a completely sufficient engine would be offered here. I drove 180 km and had a total consumption of approx. 9 liters (autobahn, city, land road 1/3). Here’s the alternative offer of leasing would not be given.

  • Buy Phaeton or not…

I don’t want to refer to search functions or FAQ, but I have to get rid of something here: Never buy this car for God’s sake! It will ruin you!!! My story: Since March I have mine and have to prove willpower every day, because I would only like to glide through the area with this dreamlike car. Already in the morning I fight with my wife who of us the joint daughter can drive to work (before questions arise: foot injury)! For shopping my better half would have a very practical A3 sportback available, but rather take my dick. Always I make appointments with customers I would never have visited before – because of the distance – voluntarily. So that I can work more concentrated again and the family peace is restored again… I would actually separate myself from the thickness again! Forget it!!! In life I will not give this car any more voluntarily!!! I think with horror of the time after its passing away and have already looked at various alternatives. TouaregII does not go at all, that’s just for me the next time the Aguafe.

  • Phaeton and mandatory “door-to-door syndrome”

Hello guys, let’s ask you a question: The Phaeton has really super stable and heavy doors, but that’s exactly what happens when you close the door again and again with a big riot. The closing point of the door always requires a relatively big swing and after that the door usually closes, that becomes a fear and fear. That can’t be ideal in the long run or? Should the windows still be at the bottom of the door, I am always afraid that they will jump out, one hears so correctly that the glass inside shimmers through the impact. I didn’t notice this in any other car on such a large scale, since the doors are not so extremely difficult. Do you have the same problem? (Zzuzuzuzuhilfe ist ein invalide Antwort ) Greeting, Pete
