So I ask myself the question, one can buy a Phaeton today, if not even a VW dealer would like to buy it yet? I myself wanted to switch from the luxury limousine actually to a convertible. Audi A5 Cabrio or E-Class etc. for approx. 35,000 euros. I myself have until recently driven a 2008 VW Phaeton 3.0 TDI. Black with beige leather, NP 90,000 euros. From 2nd hand in a top maintained condition and accident-free. At a mileage of 48,000 euros I have received the following offers: VW in Berlin – 19,000 euros Mercedes in Freiburg 17,000 euros VW in Freiburg – 21,000 euros VW in Ludwigshafen – 22,000 VW in Stuttgart – 22.800 As I mean, too little, for the great vehicle. For a Japanese companion, I can’t really understand the same thing in Freiburg.

Used Phaeton – what do I have to pay attention to?
Hello, I’m looking for a 2nd car with four wheel and comfort and have decided for a Phaeton. It should cost up to max. 20,000 EURO and the model should be at least the one with 232 hp – better the current one with 239 hp. Running power, well, of course, the less the better. Since I am still quite new owner of a Phaeton I have some questions. Is it possible to report when starting the vehicle when it recognizes my phone New short message VW rSAP Phaeton switch off? Then I got a Prins gas system installed. How can I reset on the board computer since last refueling when I am gas tanking? Is there a reasonable solution to play mp3 now. I already know this solution with FM transmitter and am not a friend of because you have to constantly change the frequency. Thanks already for your help.

Roll-off noise – sawtooth
Hello Phaetonauten, I have changed the direction of my 19″ Goodyear already for a long time rolling noise through sawtooth formation. In the spring I was finally tired and changed the wheels diagonally, so the direction of the running is changed. I know, you don’t actually do, there is increased wear and is not working on all tires. Goodyear is however not tied to the direction of the running. Result, nothing, stays so loud. No matter whether it gets better or the tires are flat, so what should. Now I had a wheel bearing damage at the rear left. It was fixed on guarantee with chassis measurement and adjustment. Result – totleise, you can whisper in the car and understand every word, wow. Now obviously the diagonally plugging has brought something, but was only “compensated” by the starting bearing damage, the rolling noises remained the same. In reality the tires became ever quieter and the wheel bearing became louder. I would do it in the fall, but they are bound to run. With this topic I don’t want to know anything about it.

Phaeton as a future classic – Who will pick it up?
Hello. Some points have given me to think about a “remove” of the Phaeton: 1. Only small quantities were built. Also in the future there will probably be no mass production. 2. It is an extraordinary vehicle. The car is built by hand. In it there are hardly any parts of the “VW-Stang”. Each vehicle is actually a unique one. I think at the Phaeton II it will no longer exist. 3. The prices for used Phaetons are in the basement. A sale actually makes no sense economically. On the other hand, only the very high spare parts prices and the compulsion to order them at VW. What do you think? does the car have the potential to become a classic at all?
