Hello everyone, many have noticed that my V6 TDI BJ 2006 unfortunately suffered a capital engine damage at 150,000 km and were helpful to me. So far the following costs have been incurred: -Workshop: Diagnosis approx. 800,- -Rental car of the workshop: 1000,- Now I am faced with the question how to proceed? I have the following options: 1. Keep a vehicle -Repair vehicle: Costs up to 6000,- probably -plus car hire in the time of approx. 2 week n Result: following a driving 10 years old Phaeton, but all other vehicle parts are 10 years old… But just a usual luxury vehicle 2. Selling vehicle -Resolve probably between 2,000 and 3,000 euros -following LZ Rent of a vehicle for 3-6 months (cost per month approx. 600,- euros) until the decision for and delivery of a vehicle can take place. Unfortunately, there is no Phaeton, so that then on another brand or model out I don’t know yet how long I would drive the 10 year old Phaeton after a possible repair. Probably not longer than 1 year, I think. Also, I don’t know yet if the resale value of the engine replacement or repair may drop drastically. If the car is not sold, I’m not sure if it will be sold at the same time. . How would you decide? Or do you still have interesting suggestions that I have not considered? Hello all, have my first PHAETON Edition 5 in 2 days. It’s a GP0 with 3.0 TDI. Questions: – When I unlock the vehicle the xenons (no BiXenon) make quite loud noises (Xenon lens is adjusted, moves up and down) – I think it’s normal to adjust, but that’s not so loud? The loud noise is on both sides and should be the engine. Who can tell me something about it? – When switching from the 2nd gear in the 3rd gear it’s like I’m the clutch g aaanz long sanding (if I had one), DZM goes back in two steps, first about 5mm then another 5mm. This happens when sliding – partial load. I didn’t notice that with the other gears. Is that normal? Greeting Daniel

Hello, now it also caught me with the Phaeton, as successor for a Lancia theme BJ 2011 Executive in Metallic Braun with 20 inches and panoramic roof. After the Lancia was already very well equipped and thanks to double glazing + insulation very quiet, I had the desire for even more comfort equipment with very good price/performance =) The search was somewhat difficult, because the wish list in the combination did not occur so often in the vicinity. + points to before: + massages seat + 18 paths + more side support + premium seats rear with seat ventilation + air suspension + trunk also closes electric + window panes rear fog don’t + 4 climate zones + train-free air conditioning – points to before: – The distance tempomat is felt very aggressive in the behavior and not designed for comfort as with the Lancia, also lacks the overtaking function when changing lanes on the highway – pity that in the Phaeton the pedals not electrically to the front and rear can be put – Also a pity that the Phaeton has no cool and heatable beverage holder – steering wheel heating not so warm – There are slots missing in the middle for parking card etc. On 2 questions I have found no answer so far: 1. Now I wanted to order the material from VW, but now I demand a chassis number!! Well, my Phaeton had no shift paddles – so an order would probably not be possible.. Hello again, I have had little time to be here in the last weeks and months…unfortunately. I now have a problem with the fat one again, I was without problems with the fat one in Germany, when I was back in Spain, he jumped on the next day as usual morning and noon, but when I wanted to start in the evening nothing went any more, I clearly thought the batteries, because the voltage was only displayed at 9Volt at the instuation, so both batteries were reinstated and charged, connected and the same, the on-board voltage rises to 9 volts and after a minute it is max. 11volt, have no plan what that can be, I also tried it with starting aid, but is the same, meanwhile it stands 3weeks.

Hello, since a few days the keyless is without function. Also the start button no longer works. I have already checked the fuse and is fine. However, I can still switch off the engine via the start button. The key function goes without further, so that I can open, lock and start the vehicle. Errors are not shown. I have already done a reset (battery for 5 minutes from the onboard network). Also with the second key no function of the keyless Who can help me here?

Hello guys. I finally felt my wish and bought a Phaeton last week. Bj 2007 V6 Tdi 233ps. Have 2 problems 1 On board computer when I turn on ACC message ACC error. have read out error, and with engine control unit is error “053283 ECU for distance distance control query” This error is constant inside. Have then still asked for other ECUs but true nothing inside. Which ECU is exactly for ADR? or how should I proceed there. 2 PD C at the rear do not work. I read out errors, two sensors defective. I deleted them, car started reverse gear in, the displays have lit up (2XROT) at the rear and front also after about 10sec they lift off. I drove back to the wall but no reaction no ton no display. Again error read out, no errors but they don’t work. At the front everything normal, behind nothing. When I bought the car last week I knew about the parking sensors but unfortunately I missed the ADR and the seller didn’t tell me anything. Courte that someone can help me!

Good evening dear Phaetonists, does any of you drive either the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 in the dimension 255/40 R19 100Y or the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 in 255/40 ZR19 100Y ? swan between these two tires for my 4.2 V8. Have frequently read a recommendation for the Goodyear here in the forum, but have not found any experience with the current profile Asymmetric 5 in exactly my tire dimension. Same applies to the Michelin, at the moment I tend to the Pilot Sport 4 since I am up to I always had good to very good experience with Michelin on very different vehicles. 1000 thanks to all who share their experiences here.

As stated in my signature, I have a GP3 TDI with a “naked” rear. Since we were driven into the rear last week, I assume that the bumper has to be completely new. Now I thought that it would be a good opportunity to switch to one of the bumpers with exhaust hoods. I am aware that there will of course be price differences and that I could pay for it accordingly. Unlike those who have changed so far, I would like to take a look at this. will it be enough simply to order the “complete package”? The basic shots for the bumpers should be the same. It was only about the shots within the spoiler strips in the differences, right? That’s how I understood it when reading at least. How different are the procurement prices of the bumpers V8 compared to W12? Due to the just made searches I am unfortunately not really with my data I would appreciate helpful advice Best regards
