Hello dear Phaeton community, have now for a few weeks my thick and would like to install now a DVD player. First I would like to mention that I would like to watch DVD during the ride or that I can operate the player via the original TV/RADIO at Phaeton! Has someone already installed such a thing, if yes which components would that be? My Phaeton is Bj 06/2004 V10TDI I would be very grateful about a quick answer ! Thank you and good ride !!

How is the engine changed behind the wooden panel?
Moin people, my father and I picked up our fat guy from today.(Better said from the company that delivered him) The reason he was there is that the wood left at the driver’s side didn’t go down when the climate went out. I was told on the phone that the engine behind it was changed.NUR HOW DOES THE MOTOR GET????Thank you for answers, and maybe we can talk about it again in Berlin. Greetings, Christoph

Almost crash ESP out?
Moin, last Friday I was in the “Exit Snail” of the parking lot, in which my company parking places are, with my Phaeton speedy, but absolutely not brutally driven over a ground wave and got next to the acoustic warning signal “Ping” in the MFA the message “Achtung Fahrwerk – Werkstatt” indicated. However, since the message disappeared after a few seconds and I noticed nothing negatively when driving in the city center traffic, I first did not drive into the workshop, in which my Phaeton is already almost at home (btw. I reported that now also the horn was broken?). Yesterday now I visited with my wife in the country a Christmas concert and on the return trip at approx. 10 °C outside temperature, light rain and with VW original winter tyres in a long right turn of the highway drive at speed 60 – 70 km/h almost “flowed off”. After all the Phaeton started to slide over all four wheels to the corner side – so from the highway – I was able to prevent Eimmerhaes from being able to stop the routinely in the way. I had to keep my control.

Are garage vehicles more reliable than lantern-parking vehicles?
Whose Phaeton stands after use in the garage and still causes problems. I have now (first) my 2nd Phaeton and both stood after use always in the garage. Never arose problems. Is our Phaeton for lantern parking perhaps too sensitive? However, I hope that it is not. Would have liked to do a survey among us with the questions garage, no problems garage, problems outside, no problems outside, problems polls can probably only be made via MOT in the whole forum

Incorporating 4F0919142A in Phaeton
Hello, I have now got this box 4F0919142A quite cheap and wanted to have it installed by the friendly one. But as so often the friendly one says “does not work” But as far as I know it goes. Maybe someone has a tip who can install this in the greater Berlin or someone has already installed this thing and can give me a tip. List of defects VW Phaeton 3.0 TDI, EZ 06/2007
Moin Moin! I have taken over a Phaeton from the 1% lease with KM stand 8.577 on 08.09.2009. Since 02/2010 I have broken defects of all kinds. 02/2010 Switching suction tube, introduced KM stand approx. 23,500 After that distance radar oxidized incl. cable harness to ABS, climate does not hold manual settings, rust rear door below the decorative strip, radio reception like 1948, so far 2 times Alcantara sky out and installed, because amplifier and rear disk had to new, complete failure displays, unfortunately without finding, with 32,000 KM water pump defective, with servo pump failed, KFZ dragged in, flap and crack noise in the rear area with short bumps, loudspeakers at the rear right defective. Since February approx. 15 days workshop + car rental with calculation, except with lying down? I have still had to report the usual number of items for the vehicle.

Buying Phaeton?
Hello, I have looked at a Phaeton and would like to buy it. Here a few dates BJ 2004,KM 150000,2VB,Scheckheft unceasing,Inspection at 149000KM New,HU New without defects. 3.2 liters V6. for 10500€ that is oky?. Could you tell me what about this vehicle what you have to look out for, whether the model has macken ect???? I have read something at Google and there I find nothing negative only BMW and Mercedes drivers advise me not. MfG

Even if I run the risk of causing the incomprehension of some clubmates, I feel the inner need to report on my positive experiences. After the warranty expired, I was faced with the question: Tuning-Chip with the V6 Diesel or not? I decided to do so and now almost 20,000 km behind me. I regret nothing, quite the contrary. The increase in performance is clearly noticeable, an increase in fuel consumption is not at all (long time: 10.1 liters). Of course I had the whole thing officially registered in the vehicle papers and reported to the insurance company. Thankfully, the insurance premium was not increased. Last weekend I had a performance measurement on the Nürburgring (because of the all-wheel drive can not be done at every street corner): The tuner Digitec has not lied, the performance (CEngPS) is almost exactly 280 hp at around 4000 rpm, the torque increases to over 580 Nm (CEngTq). Maybe the freaks among you can explain what you exactly among the abbreviations CWhp and EsLHs can’t be understood as “The fitting of the motorcycle is not a good thing to be understood in terms.”
