  • Navi RNS 810 in Phaeton

The navigator of my Phaeton (V6 TDI, 2014, 102,000 km) including the entire radio unit switches off several times at the beginning of a journey. Electronic error readout resulted in error code for the unreliability of the antenna. After deletion of the error memory the navigator worked perfectly, but only until the next day. VW says after re error readout that an error cannot be detected, and the navigator works perfectly. The latest software is installed, that’s all you can do. A In the following day, the navigator failed again to function again – for how long. Workshop Rapacho contacted by telephone, confirmed that the troubleshooting could be tedious and perhaps even resultless. That’s why I first postponed the long journey. Who has had similar experiences and perhaps found a solution?

  • Squeaking brakes

Hello everyone, I have a topic now that I’ve been getting on my nerves since we’ve had our big ones: the brakes squeak. Sometimes more and less. But when they start, usually when it’s wet or wet, it gets louder and worse with every braking. When we bought the car (Bj. 11.03), the brakes have been re-made before (discs and coverings). Meanwhile, without success, three different workshops have tried on the brakes. In the meantime, it says that we must live with it. Frankly, I don’t think that is acceptable. Not only with a Phaeton, but in general. I feel that squeaky braking is a considerable deficiency and it can’t be that you have to accept something like that! Does someone have an idea or a suggestion, which I am still trying to do? hmen, or who can I contact at VW? Many thanks in advance and many greetings Martin

  • Is there a difference in rear aprons?

Hello dear community, yesterday I parked my rear apron on a stone in too frosty weather and damaged it. Now I actually have a V10 TDI. However, there are so “pseudo exhaust pipes” from the W12 mounted on me. The previous owner had them built on VW, so I don’t know anything about it. Don’t know if you know them, they are just end tube flaps. Now I have a few questions so that I can talk something about before the reperture: Now the apron from the W12, is that different from the V8? Does it make a difference whether I drive a long version, or are the rear aprons the same?

  • loud driving noises from 60 km/h

Hello and good day, I have bought a used Phaeton …. Bj 04/2005 3,0 ltr. TDI 4 Motion . Now my question on my first long ride occurs from a speed of about 60 km/h very loud driving noises, you can describe it badly, it sounds like a “wow” ….the sounds from 100 km/h to 125 km/h are almost unbearable and are also to be heard at medium volume radio . Thereby are also light vibrations to run. Is that normal, I imme r thought the vehicle should be naturally quiet in this class ( before I drove a 3 BMW 318 i, which was somewhat quieter ) request for help if it is possible. Thank you for your help greeting R.N.

  • 3.0 TDI – CARA – Installation position Pressure lines for injectors

Hello together, first of all to the core of my question: Motor: – 3.0 TDI, ID CARA –> Year of construction 06/2007 km-Stand ca. 207000 Is the installation position of the high-pressure lines from the pressure storage tank (“Rail” or “Common-Rail” to the injectors must be adhered to (unstressed installation, proper sealing seat etc.). –> With bench 2 medium cylinders I say yes already, because otherwise you can not get the plug off from the fuel pressure generator (G247) without making a little kaput. –>Explanations to my F In August 2014 the cylinder heads (in the following ZK) were changed (large VW workshop with “viiiieeel Phaeton know how”. In the following service in another VW workshop, one I was pointed out to “oiled” ZK, with the hint that probably originate from the injectors or ZK seal. –> Subtracting the injectors at Workshop No. 1. In the subsequent inspections, there was also the remark again and again. This WE I cleaned my LMM+air filter box and wanted to check all the plugs of the injection system in this train, because I get the following errors regularly filed: – probe 1, bank 1 signal too fat, P2196 and I want to gradually exclude all simple causes. There is the condition described above when I reach the pressure sensor on my checklist. Ps: Yes I know that P2196 can also be caused by the HD pump in the worst case 🙁 Greetings and thanks for tips in advance Enrico

  • Phaeton Policy in Tariff Poker

Well, as one of the biggest advocates of Volkswagen’s luxury strategy, I have to fear that the Phaeton new development will be stopped in the course of the year, despite the public statements of Piech, Pischetsrieder and Bernhard. The Phaeton could become a farmer’s victim in the upcoming collective talks. Read this article on Saturday:http://www.autohaus.de/sixcms/detail.php?id=422984 In the long run, it is guaranteed to be wrong, exclusively on günsti The Asians are digging down the water. For this, our wage costs are too high. Well, wait and continue to be optimistic is my motto!!! Greetings Thomas

  • 5th FPOC meeting???

so I also get back to the forum where life comes back to life. since I have posted this text in another thread, and there unfortunately no answer has come so I hope it is not because of the lack of interest but because this thread was closed by various postings!! the impulse for a new meeting with the collaboration with VW I got a few months ago. BedofRoses then also posted this and after a lot of excitement in and the idea that led to FPOC in Salzburg was rather coincidental in conversation with VW employees, “FPOC go’s on tour”, we had Italy in mind, but this idea was quickly rejected for the first meeting abroad then a lot of Austria, Porsche Austria and Salzburg, was promptly born a new idea because in Austria the Phaeton finds very good sales and Porsche Öse rreich is responsible for marketing this idea quickly found in the conversation to agree. also from the distances this meeting would not be further than the previous!! since at our meeting the car should stand in the foreground I would ask you all to write your opinion about a meeting in Austria everyone who has already organized an event knows when you first start a lot of work comes to you. I will be the two organizers (dickship user and) in I hope I still have good contacts to Austria and I hope that these meetings will come about again. So I would like to ask you again for your opinion on this topic, if the idea should be accepted by you, which I very much hope will soon be a new topic to discuss and to be happy! LG LORD

  • Verbauch 3.2 V6 front drive at constant 100km/h

Hello Phaeton driver, have a question about the Phaeton V6 3.2 petrol engine with front drive. What kind of consumption does the car have if you move it at 100km/h constantly on the motorway train?? For example with a total distance of 100km. Can you possibly tell me approximate details? Thanks already… Greetings Peter
