  • Automatic transmission switches uncleanly after transmission update

    Good day dear Phaeton community, my father owns a VW Phaeton 3.0 TDI from 2009 and he recently has a following problem. If the car was standing for a few days and then wants to drive the car, the car remains in the first gear “steck” and in the onboard computer then the gears disappeared, as where normal D1 stands, there is nothing more. It also does not help if you switch in N or want to switch manually, you have to restart the engine. And what also happens after longer driving so 60 km and you i n the city is and stands at the traffic light and then wants to go he turns really high up to 2-3,000 turns and drives slowly, until the 3 gears he beats the gear in and got the 4 again normal. What could that be? A transmission oil change unfortunately did not make any remedy. KM Stand 260,000 never made problems, he had only got an update on the transmission from VW because of exhaust gas manipulation since it was noticeable. The car also stood a few days at VW but could the wrong Oddly enough, he doesn’t reproduce.

  • RDK sensors (original or accessories)

    Hello together, I would like to equip my winter bikes (original rims 17) with RDK sensors. In the FAQ I also found the matching part number VW 4F0 907 275 H for my GP3. Is only this (Beru) original sensors to trust or are there also accessories sensors that a tyre dealer possibly recommends to me and which can then be easily learned? Gruss Gerhard

  • Light sensor – Switch to AUTO -> Light always on?

    Hello, when it comes to thickening, the light is always on when I shift the controller to AUTO. However, according to my knowledge and older cars, the switch is there to turn on light when it is needed. VW meant it’s normal – heh? Is this what my light sensor is wanted or is defective? This is integrated in the interior mirror, right? Could you change it yourself? What does the said sensor cost – does jmd perhaps have a page with the parts a la BMWfans?

  • Battery problems

    Hello Phaetonists, I would like to ask you for your expert advice. My V8, BJ. 2003, 270tkm (i.e. just entered) has problems with the power supply. If the car stands more than 2 hours it does not recognize the key, the central locking does not work, the clock is adjusted and various other electrical problems occur. I drive the car and make a short stop everything works normal, after a longer stop (more than 2h) again not. Clear case, the comfort battery I thought it was defective. I was amazed to find out that the comfort battery was from 2012. Installed by a VW dealer from Neunkirchen-See. That was the last thing the old owner did before he sold the car. Questions: Is it right that the alternator would have to have a healthy battery after a long drive (about an hour without an extreme power consumption) so that the battery has enough voltage until the next morning? Does it make sense to use the battery? Is the right battery installed? Pb/ Ca VW standard 750736+TL 82506? Can you recommend a better one? How do I build the safety box to lift the comfort battery out? Need a few more photos of the comfort battery (in the direction left under the fuses) – starter battery (in the direction right behind the grid) – the sticker from the comfort battery – the accompanying booklet from the comfort battery Thank you for your answer en kidston

  • Error message P1857 load signal

    With my 2008 Phaeton 3.0 V6 TDI, 240 hp the following is displayed. Error code P1857 load signal. Every now and then it has speed fluctuations, shortly after starting and also on the highway, but rather very rarely. Recently the transmission oil was changed, since then it also switches hard between the first in the second and the third in the second. Does this have to do with each other or is the error coder P1857 something independent? For a good tip I am very grateful.

  • ACC does not work due to errors in brake power amplifier / encoder

    Good morning in the forum, in the Phaeton 3.0 TDI 224 PS the ACC is not available. Poti for membrane path in brake power amplifier Error 01673 (short circuit / interruption after mass static) and encoder for brake pressure G201 Error 01435 (short circuit / interruption after mass static) as well as control unit for brake power amplifiers. now the question is…is it just the encoder for brake pressure or does the whole brake power amplifier have to be new? or is it a scraped-on cable , what leads to all the error medications ? has one had this before? beautiful greeting

  • My 2nd Phaeton is now a GP4

    On Saturday after long or short search bought….I am now also a repeat offender, my old Phaeton retires after 6 years and 335,000 km…the new one will be 5 years old in August and yes that could be a copy of the 1st Phaeton…except that the one now is black and a 4 seater with wonderful color combinations like you I like….so I couldn’t say no….so Udo the first photos are now published…it will be allowed tomorrow on me…and I think you b is one of the first to see the live…if you have time on Monday…there I come back to NRWg

  • Windshield inside approx. 1/3 Below wet

    Moin, if my Phaeton is standing outside overnight, the windshield from the inside is about 1/3 right down wet in the morning. So right The rear window but also clearly finer (tendency to fog) for that. Always drive with climate on AUTO.. no circumference switched on. Interior, footroom is all dry. Someone an idea?

  • Maintenance charge without power supply?

    Dear Phaetonists, now I have found a garage for the Phaeton, but all offers were without electricity, so also “my” new garage. I only took them because next to my place there is a Flying Spur…So then 2 cars from the same plant stand side by side…I found cool. So…Conservation charger sent back and looked for a new solution. First question: Does anyone have experience with the Ctek Free? Or similar variants? Second question: Weiss jem and if you can charge the consumer battery also over the 12V can in the rear (or wherever)? I have a larger “power bank” with 300 watts… at Porsche in the forum I read that the battery can be charged explicitly over the 12 V connector. Does anyone know if this is possible with the Phaeton? Because then I would simply connect the existing device and is good. Or else: a maintenance charger, like Dino or Ctek connect to the power bank and in maintenance use charging mode…has anyone already done this and experiences with it? Aha…I don’t want to drive the car in winter or just in sunshine and salt freedom…therefore the maintenance charge. Thank you! Ron

    Hello everyone! I’m new here at Phaeton Forum I’m proud since yesterday Phaeton owner Bj 2013. A top car !! Before that I drove a Passat 3BG Variant. The jump is so world-engroooß With the cars everything is nice and good. Only I have some real problems pairing my smartphone (Iphone X) with the RNS 810. I searched the whole system and just can not get a Bluetooth connection 🙁 Are there any hidden menu items ? Thanks in advance !
