  • Bentley Flying track driven…FAZIT:

On Saturday we were invited to drive the Bentley Flying track sample. Bentley Flying track data: 552 hp speed max. 312 km/h acceleration from 0-100km/h in 5.2 sec. total length 5307mm; width (including exterior mirror) 2118mm weight 2.475kg displacement 5,998 ccm price: from 160.000 € Phaeton W12 data: 450 hp speed max. 250km/h acceleration from 0-100km/h 6.1 sec. total length 5055mm; width 1903mm weight 2.475kg displacement 5,998 ccm price standard equipment: from 106,000 € In conclusion, it’s certainly a great car, but as a difference to our super-told Phaeton, I could really only detect the speed (and when can you drive 312km/h??), the all-around handcrafted leather equipment (which is really impressive), even more foot space in the rear (comment from Daniel when he was sitting in the back: “Help, where are you at the front??? I feel so alone!!”, and: NO VW sign. That likes for Bentley drivers (besides the component that they nic But I like to drive VW! At least VW Phaeton! The joke is really the Navi! It’s the same in Bentley as in Phaeton. “Ahem,” I just say. Otherwise, almost all the buttons are identical, at least you feel at home as a Phaeton driver. At least I have no reason to spend €60,000 more (except who needs the Bentley sign, as I said). I like it very much from the optics point of view. t, but also no better than the Phaeton. Some things are also worse than in the Phaeton. Our instructor told us that there are no blinds for the rear discs. Besides, there is only an acoustic park distance control, no optical (there is really a parking experience!). The silver button to pull out to activate the ventilation is certainly nice, but not particularly comfortable – at least a swarm of dust flakes came to me first… MY FAZIT: Be ntley Flying Spur: Great! VW Phaeton: Ultragenial!

  • Switching bobs

Hello Phaetonauten, I found out here in the forum that the retrofitting of shift paddles is easily possible. My current vehicle (V8, model 2015) had unfortunately no shift paddles, to which I had got used, especially on the highway, for unexcited driving (no hectic kickdown, engine brake from higher speeds) with the previous vehicle (same engine). My small, local VW dealer and also other larger VW dealerships hid their incompetence behind ground The last day at Rapacho (Mr. Perelka) had an assembly appointment. After plenty of an hour everything was done. Compared to the GM in Dresden and some VW car dealerships, Rapacho is the second winner in terms of elegance and design. Alone, who cares? – Being more than appearance, that is crucial.I have experienced Rapacho as highly competent, serious in handling and communication. The praises on Rapacho in the forum will be fulfilled. n rightly sung and I agree. In connection with the visit of some water castles in southern Münsterland and the best gastronomic accommodation in the hotel “Mutter Althoff” (Culinary remarkable!) in Vinum (Olfen) I spent a short holiday with my wife and happily returned to the sunny Palatinate with switchwinds. Thank you to the forum with the best regards GETIG

  • Resetting actuators of the ventilation flaps

Dear forum, the instructions for changing the actuator has helped me a lot more. In the meantime, I suspect that the motor is not defective (both the motor and the potentiometer seem to work to recognize the position). What I suspect, however, is that the air conditioning system has already brought the actuator into a protective position and therefore no longer drives it. In the manual, “base settings with the test system like Do I have the opportunity to get to it? Does a VCDS help me here? Best regards, Stefan

  • Unfortunately no Phaeton meeting 2018 at Zottel in Lüdinghausen

In agreement with Zottel, I am bringing this somewhat sad news. The city of Lüdinghausen made a lot of demands for a Phaeton meeting in 2018, with probably more than 100 Phaeton, which Zottel and Matthew could not possibly fulfill in the relatively short deadline set by the city. Zottel regrets this very much because he knows that many Leutz from the forum had already been looking forward to a meeting with him in 2018. However, he also has a good news: 2019 a meeting will take place with him and Matthew in any case. You now know the conditions and have sufficient advance to work this point by point allowable. So we see ourselves then all 2019 in Lüdinghausen LG Udo

  • Climatic control panel display rear is without function, but also can’t get it out

Hello together. I have been reading in the forum for a long time, so it has become a Phaeton now. I guess only a small thing, but the user manual is silent about it, net and search function I have already used. Maybe someone has the explanation here in the forum. I have the removable climate control part at the back, but this can not be taken out… Also shows no function, child safety rear is not active, display is undamaged . In the first step I think of the fuse for it, however in the fuse box at the back left there is neither description printed, nor a supplement. I am grateful for every tip, my junior too. Friendly greetings, Yokoone

  • A new one introduces itself.

Moin moin, I’m the new one and I’m coming more often now. My name is Jürgen and I live in NRW Dortmund. I’ve been reading here for quite a while. I come from the Ford MondeoMK3 forum where I felt very comfortable. But I needed a change once. I looked around for about a year after a reasonable S-Class or a Phaeton and now, God willing, a beautiful Phaeton 4 seater 3.6 V6 D3 Bj. 11/09 with 120,300 KM in Tarantella Schwarz. Since Friday he has been standing in my driveway and I’m getting more and more excited about the car. The Phaeton has almost everything. (because you never have anything) Except sunroof, fridge, and screens in the headrests, I mean he has everything in it. For that he has an Alcantara roof sky. I hang a few pictures on it. I will probably have questions, but they will come later. Greeting Jürgen

  • Battery charger for Phaeton

Hello everyone, I am a total newcomer to the Phaeton and have many questions that always appear gradually. I already got a lot of tips here in the forum to thank ALL!!! Since I (unfortunately) mostly drive short distance (6km to work) I had bought a V6 TDI with heater. As I learned here in the forum, this is a bad thing for the battery (on-board battery). That means it has to be charged just in the winter (in the short traffic). I found only entries in the forum that are significantly older and the new storage devices are not listed. – My favorite is this here: CTEK MXS 5.0 Battery Charger – Does anyone have the device? – The Phaeton has any special batteries? (so no simple lead batteries?) – What to consider when charging? May I connect “+” and “-” to the poles or how according to the instructions “-” to the bodies? – Many write that the device can be installed firmly? May ma n it at the Phaeton too? (of course would be practical) Thank you in advance for further helping contributions Greeting Andreas

  • Electronic problem … the 5-thousandest

Moin, at the moment I have unfortunately little time and am constantly on the go. Must be well or bad with the thickness in the workshop. So that the there not “wildly poking around” and something goal-oriented are looking here my problem and “my” guess. Give please opinion. Thank you! Symptoms: – After approx. 2 hours highway ride comes the message “key not found” – voltmeter shows times 14,1 volts, times 14,5 volts. fluctuates, but unfortunately not comprehensible (speed independent) – comfort battery (new) is almost empty after about 15 hours of service life – right xenon flickert (only the right) facts: – I do not drive short distances (at least 1 hour per direction approx. 50 km, 2 x daily morning/evening) – Both batteries are NEW, changed 2 weeks ago – error memory is empty – footrooms dry – sitting heating/cooling is not used – standing heater off – test method radio omitted guess: – ground points. The question is only … which. The battery management unfortunately hangs on x-different mas The stupid thing is, I have to get out of here (abroad) and don’t want to let the fat guy run and be unreachable at the same time. Thanks & Greetings, Pete
