  • Phaeton brake electronics does not accept coding

    Hello, The brake electronics of my Phaeton forgot his coding. Probably when I had an unknowingly short time a steering pole switch (lek column electric) from the Tuareg. The error happened to me because the steering angle sensor had to be changed. It is again an original part for the Phaeton with the correct designation in it. Also an original steering angle sensor of a Phaeton is in it with the right item number. So everything again as it was original in it. There are I use Carport and up to 4 months ago I mainly read out older Audis. I can log into the brake electronics at the Phaeton, that is confirmed with a green hook. After that I can enter and save the original coding and workshop code. This is done successfully and Carport also displays the new values in the information area. After that I have deleted the error memory. After that I leave the control panel of course, the non-learned steering angle sensor also returns. Now I’m guessing, why doesn’t the control unit keep the coding? In my previous search for solutions, I’ve learned that it’s possible that other control units involved can prevent the coding. Is there any such thing in the Phaeton. What would that be? I also read about a case, b but the device didn’t keep the coding either. It was a false login code for him. My login code is 05476 for a V8. Based on the instructions for compiling the login code via the PR codes, I came to this code. The other variation does not work. I also tried the code combinations with 8 instead of 5 in second place. The contract workshop says: no idea if w I don’t know if we have time and no idea if we want to. I’m not kidding, I brought the car back to me. It would be great if someone could help me.

  • Phaeton: All error messages at once

  • Storage instead of ski bag. Which ET numbers do these have for the 5-seater?

    Hello guys! I don’t have a ski bag inside our Phaeton. Our P is a 5 seater. The previous owner cut out the middle opening and put his skis so through. It’s nice cut out, BUT if someone is sitting in the back now and the middle armrest works down, then it logically gets a little louder in the vehicle through the hole in the trunk and the rear passenger doesn’t understand anything anymore, if the front passengers chat a bit or even the radio is barely audible. smoking no ski bag in the back but I have read that some have converted here to a fridge or just refitted the ski bag.   • Air conditioning and a question about that.

    I was on the road this morning quite early. Pure Temp. technically so for me in the not air conditioning area. So air conditioning on Econ and gets. After a while about half an hour comes cold air at once. Air conditioning runs. In the menu looked, but that was still on Econ. I pressed on it twice and was good. about 5 min later the climate starts again and cools down powerfully. So it went on and on until I finally was at the finish and the car turned off My question: (GMD user as expert) If I switch the menu AC to Econ, the climate should be out and also stay out. Why does the stupid thing jump on again and again without my intervention ?? is that normal or a defect ?

  • Change rear light in the rear lid ….

    Hello, At my Phaeton just the rear inner left led light has failed. I already had the right one changed in 2014 at VW, but I thought that I could get it this time. So ordered lamp at VW (367.00 €), and today looked at the inside of the lid. My question to you : Is the lid cover only screwed behind the warning triangle, and then folded on the side, or are there any other hidden screws ? Thanks in advance for your helpful Tips, MfG.

I have unfortunately discovered rust in the upper corners here, it is unfortunately so bad that the varnish on the Holm in the viewing area already blows. The bars have scrubbed at the place.
