What is to be taken into consideration here with the above model. Is the installation with the above Km-performance problematic? Please for reports. From the previous articles it can be seen that a Prins-system is probably the best, or? Is there enough installation space available with the model. I read that models with stationary heating have space problems, among other things with the evaporator. Is this true? In addition, the wheel dump tank should be as large as possible. What size should be realized? In any case, the tank nozzle should be installed behind the flap for the petrol tank nozzle. Are these problems? The installation should be possible in the surroundings (up to 100 km radius) of Wiesbaden.

  • Luggage compartment without function

    Hello together, I have a Phaeton with electric unlocking. Now the trunk is no longer open. Neither with the score lock nor the actuator gives any reactions of itself. The visit to the VW dealer revealed that I should have a cable break. This realization cost me once 200,- € without the trunk has a function. I can not imagine that the even the score lock should be related to the cable break. The display also shows me an open trunk. Can someone give me perhaps a hint how to get the trunk open or. what do I have to do with it the trunk again works. The friendly VW dealer told me that I have to reckon with 1500,- €. I think that my dealer is not very competent and I do not want to drive unprepared to another. Maybe someone can recommend me a competent contact in the area of Hanover? I would be really grateful for your tips!

I have found this great forum now and will be hammering something right now…: Due to the very cheap used car prices, I think about buying a VW Phaetons. Of course, nobody needs to tell me that you can’t let yourself be blinded by the cheap prices. That the maintenance costs are more expensive than other, normal vehicles is clear. Now clear text: What do you have for running fixed costs? – What do you pay for your insurance? – What do you pay for taxes? – What do you pay for annual workshop costs (inspection)? -> And here’s this: Must it be the original VW workshop with a 6 year old Phaeton, or is it not at least as good, but much cheaper, with a free workshop too? And now to the engine: I would like to buy either the V6 TDI or the V10 TDI very much more. In price terms, on the used car market, it doesn’t make any difference. Now your experiences: Which engine is to prefer and why it’s more expensive? I’d like to keep up to buy the engine again?

  • Chrome trimmings for the switches/buttons of the seat adjustment retrofit

    My Holde asks me, of course, how every year, what I want for Christmas so in small things.   • Phaeton navigation and zab software level

    Hello guys, I bought myself a 2003 Phaeton V6 petrol. Now I have the message in the zab ” Navigation not available” the reading of the error memory resulted: 0 error detected. But I found that the software versions of the Zab and the Navicomputer do not fit together. A flashing with the original Vw-Update Cd is not possible because the two devices probably because of the different software levels do not communicate with each other. i.e. the update is not started at all. Who can flash me a single device to the appropriate data level ( ZAB or navigation calculator)? I would like to see answers like “Buy a Tomtom or I had that at my passat also”! I need expert help!   • Phaeton in left-hand traffic

    Hello dear Phaetongemeinde, in about 2 weeks I will receive my first Phaeton, which I bought from the factory pool. The “little one” (my fat one is a 2013 Touareg) comes with almost full equipment and only 3900 km. I have already searched for older posts due to left traffic but nothing satisfactory (except 2007). I drive among other things an E-Class W212. Here I can easily adjust the dipped light via the on-board computer via the menu on left traffic. I actually also possible this in the Phaeton or has to be adjusted manually? It would be very important for me to know, since I have to work more often on the big island. Thank you in advance and I hope that in future I can contribute something meaningful in this forum too.

  • Clamping at the 3.0 TDI at the stand

    Good evening everyone, so new here and already I need help/ advice from you experienced Phaetonists I found today, that if I step on the accelerator pedal in the stand and go down again, then at about 1000 revolutions a short “crack” can be heard from the engine room. One hears it only with open windows. It doesn’t matter whether the selector lever is on P, or N. I’m right next to a buddy, who drives an A6 3.0 TDI, Bj 08. With him that’s not so. Otherwise the running wash sounds quite normal, 100% just like with the A6. Does anyone know this phenomenon perhaps? I would be grateful for any hint.     Hello guys, I’m new here and I would like to get a used Phaeton V6 or V10 in a few months. Is a super car at top used car prices. Since the V6 and the V10 cost me about the same in the purchase, I wanted to hear your opinion. At the moment I drive an A6 2.0 TDI with 140 hp. It is a bit lame. I drive about 45 Tkm per year. A lot of highway, but also more often in the city. Now I have concerns with the V10 because of particle filters, consumption, vulnerability, repair costs, turbochargers, insurance costs etc… The V6 is much cheaper from the maintenance. Only the 5.0 liters with 10 cylinders appeal. In addition, the Phaeton is quite heavy, so that the V6 has about the same values as a 2.7 liter. engine in the A6. If he had the same performance data as the 3.0 lit. from the A6 or from the 530 d. I would be satisfied, but good 9 sec. on 100 km/h I really can’t help you.
