  • TOTAL: winter tyres GP3 235/55 R17 99H

Hi, on the recommendation of A346 I ask here the question about the winter tyres. What experience could you gain with the different tire manufacturers in 17 inches? In the tyre forum the following manufacturers/models were mentioned: – Continental WinterContactTM TS 850 P – Nexen Winguard Sport – Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32 – Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 – Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D The Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D, which is probably the successor of the 3D, does not seem to be in this dimension (yet) The Pirelli Sottozero 3 would be on top of the original VW winter complete wheels. Here is the thread in the tyre shape, including my opening fee there.Hi, for the new addition in the fleet, a VW Phaeton with V6 TDI from 2011, must come in autumn winter wheels. Rims are not yet available, whether original VW or not is relatively irrelevant, but here it should be about the tires. Priority No. 1 is the mileage. The car is not sporty, it has to eat kilometers. r 15,000-20.000 on often wet highways. Rarely really in the snow. Priority No. 2: It must be a tire of a well-known manufacturer (I deliberately avoid the word “premium manufacturer”. Prügelharte Chinapneus, which hold 200,000 kilometers, but have zero grip, come in no way into question. Questions: – Does anyone have experience with winter tires in this dimension/weight class? Just come in with it! – Does anyone have experience with the Michelin Pilot Alpin in particular? The Michelins are well known as well-balanced tyres with a tendency to high mileage, at least in summer. Does this also apply to winter tyres? – Does it make sense to take V tyres instead of H tyres, because of the somewhat harder rubber compound? Price is not an issue for now. Thanks already, fire free Edit: The complete winter wheels from VW would have matured with Pirelli Sottozero 3, what do you say to them?

  • Acceleration and kilogram per hp

For a long time I have been wondering how it can be that at less kilograms per hp the same acceleration results. So, my old car, a Lexus GS430, is according to data sheet in 6.1 sec to speed 100. The power weight is 8.5kg/kW (6.2kg/hp). According to data sheet, the Phaeton is also in 6.1 sec to 100. But the power weight is 7kg/kW (5.1kg/hp). So is the acceleration not counted in the optimal PS range? really filmed, but “counted in the head the seconds”, that the Phaeton reaches in much less than 6th sec tempo 100. Measuring the maybe with 4 people, full charge and full fuelling? I read that VW still “beauties” the values in contrast to others (both positive and negative). They calculate the determined values artificially against 1000bar air pressure, 42% air humidity, and 20°C external temperature (or so similar). Thus, the 6.1 sec is rather a comparison value between V W vehicles, but not among the various car manufacturers.

  • Multifunction Display MFA Settings

Hello dear community, I did not find anything relevant in the forum, therefore my question: The multifunctional display in my Phaeton also had information about the current consumption as well as the still available range as ads in the display. Now, however, completely these values are missing. I can only see these values on the TRIP computer in the Navidisplay. I also don’t understand where you could possibly make corresponding settings around these above to get information back on the MFA. Anyone an idea? Average broken, average speed etc. will continue to be displayed quite normally.

  • Theft risk Poland

I’m going to Poland for 3 days and I don’t think I have a chance to put the car in a locked garage. How do you rate the risk of theft? And do you think it makes sense to use a steering wheel claw or something like that? I only heard from Polish acquaintances that the risk should be very high even in guarded parking spaces and that you can also be stolen there – or maybe just there. What is your opinion?

  • Buy Phaeton ?

Hello together, need advice on your part. Think of putting a used Phaeton in January. Since I am not the smallest and lightest with my 2 meters, I need a large vehicle where the kids (2x) can sit decently behind me, which is unfortunately not the case at the moment. After a long search and look, I find that the Phaeton is in my budget and actually has everything I’m looking for. Here to the vehicle, should be BJ 2004 – 2008, budget je na I know that I don’t get a new model or a vehicle with a low mileage.. Since I actually want to drive the vehicle for a long time, I don’t really care about the KM mileage up to 250 tkm.. but checkbook has to be well maintained. If the car lasts 5 years, I’m happy. I chose the 3.0 V6 Diesel in automatic What is an audio system available in the vehicle? Bluetooth streaming as well as Bluetooth FSE incl ? completely important for me ! What does the engine hold out for a mileage .. 300 tkm, 400 tkm, 500tkm ?? I am grateful for any info and help ! VG fsane

  • Phaeton drivers and their watches

Moin, we already had the topic “Phaeton drivers and watches” here in grey times, but I take this topic up as a separate thread for the given occasion. We all drive a manufactory product here and know the craftsmanship behind our vehicles, hopefully very much appreciated as a unique selling point in this vehicle class. But what about your watches? Do you carry Chinese, um with confidence, “Armrotz” á la “Ferdinand Fl ötenschniedel ” from the 1.2.3-tv-Shop or Patek Philippe? Who dares to show his watch or his watches here?

  • Replacement wheel 19 inches ?

As I wrote in another thread, the day before yesterday I had a record on the front right. Overall an unproblematic matter, as it was close to home and still inflatable. I could drive myself to the tyre dealer, where the car is now waiting for its 4 new wheels (the old ones were at the cover line). So far ok, but the thought that this would have happened to me on one of my long-distance rides makes me grumble (similar experiences can also be found here in the forum), since the car does not have a reservoir. As you can find in the forum and in the original brochure, an order of the spare wheel was obviously excluded from 19 inch rims. How are your experiences – does the wheel not fit into the reserve pit? – And if there was an alternative – about a 17 inch wheel, just for the emergency? – I always believed that all wheels had the same diameter. If the rim is bigger, the tire is even narrower, so my naive opinion. Otherwise I would have to constantly use the wheel. Tacho set. Thank you, greeting Udo

  • Phone problems GP3 Built 2011: Poor voice quality Which phone recommendation do you have?

Hello, during my Phaeton rides I often have phone calls to do. Unfortunately, the bad voice quality is often criticized. The participants describe mostly loud driving noises – even though it is really quiet in the car and poor connection quality, which makes calls partly impossible. The problem exists in all speed ranges, with various phones (iphone4, iphone 4s, Samsung Glaxy SII, SonyEricsson XPERIA and the Nokia X3-2, which rSAP In contrast, I always understand my callers extremely well.? Since I am dependent on good accessibility, this condition almost drives me into desperation. With my last vehicles this was never a topic. With my last MB I was able to make clear conversations at 250km/h. With my 2011-Phaeton this seems to be not possible at 100km/h. What experience have you made with the telephony in Phaeton? What telephone recommendations do you have? Greetings, Costa PS.: My workshop has already set itself the hands-free system and finds the quality normal.

  • Interesting information about Ultimate Fuels

Hello together, you can think about JP what you want, but I find here he released five days times two interesting films. Since the films are completely new I just wanted to point out to you. I find the laboratory recordings about possible cleaning effects considerable. Especially well recognizable with the shown Audi V8, with separate fuel systems per cylinder bench. I did not want to start a discussion of faith and I also get no commission. The idea, nu It was new to me and I found it impressive to achieve such effects on injection nozzles with the help of fuels. So far, I associated only small possible power increases with this fuel, with enormous surcharges and I didn’t really care. I’m going to try this. • Turn on the washing nozzle heater?

Hmmm. Wanted, not found. Also not in the BDA. In the SSPs I haven’t yet… THE NEW YEAR’S QUESTION: How is the shift washing nozzle heating of our thickness turned on? … by: a) rear window heating, b) mirror heating, c) defrost function, d) automatic ?? Who knows it? PS: the headlight cleaning system has no nozzle heating, so always pay attention to sufficient frost resistance of the disc frost concentrate and not forget to spray it once after filling up!
