I’m not sure what kind of motorization to choose and whether I didn’t miss the one or the other important weak point of the car in my research. To clarify the whole thing, I would like to mention a few essential prerequisites for my purchase: – planned annual mileage 5000 to a maximum of 10000 km a year – the vehicle should not have run much more than 100000-120000 km and should not have run much more than 100000-120000 km. I usually drive more moderately and on the country road, so my average consumption is always at the lower end of the guide values – the car should have at least the first big facelift I would be very grateful for your experience and advice, which motorization you would recommend to me with this profile. Most important to me is the question about the reliability of the V6, V8 and W12 motorizations and their maintenance costs with professional care. I would also like to know something about your specific average usages, because experiences that have been lived are worth more than just laboratory values. Thank you for your help and for all of you a good turn of the year in advance!

Footroom lighting during the ride -GP3
So dear people, my 2nd post and need your help again. It’s about the footroom lighting that is supposed to light up via MFA during the ride to the percentage to which it was set. Now my GP3 shows the funny behavior… when more than 0% to 100% light power is set unfortunately but nothing lights up during the ride… When the doors open you shine normally as entry lights and as soon as the door is closed they also go out completely… Does someone know much Eicht what there fails to move the light ? Greet you

Freshly baked Phaeton owner
Dear Phaeton community, after a check and gear oil change at Rapacho I picked up my Phaeton as a slightly premature Christmas gift in Lüdinghausen on 22 December: a W12 GP3, first registration 11/2010, 82,000 km according to Tacho (appears realistic). After the first 1,000 kilometers I am thrilled. I hope that I will get to grips with problems (which I expect with an 8 year old vehicle with almost full equipment) through forum help or Rapacho. apacho should only be on schedule every two years, because the new home of Phaeton is in the Salzkammergut, between Linz and Salzburg. You all have a good start to the new year 2019! LG Mathias alias BedfordBlitz80 (I had an Opel Bedford when I registered here in 2007)

Pr number and brake linings
Hello dear ones, For 2 weeks the lamp for brake pads has been shining in the thick. So he wants to have them new. I wanted to order them from ebay, but they have restrictions on certain PR numbers (1LX etc.). They should be found in the service booklet or in the trunk. I searched this, but I didn’t find it. Have a V6, 177kW from 2002. Were there different brake systems installed or how? And where else can you find the PR number? Can you find the one somehow from the chassis llnummer get out? Thank you very much for greetings from the Danish border, Andrej

New DPF, still creeping in the gentle process – Error not erasable
Hi, my car alarm bell is one: Phaeton 3.0 TDi, 171 kw Year of manufacture 2007 My engine control lamp and the pre-glow indicator pointed me to errors in the engine, so I bought an OBD2 diagnostic device. This stated: Diesel particle filter full, diesel bench1 full, 3 incandescent rods dead. All 6 incandescent rods were renewed, then there were powerful particle filter cleaners in the same and off the road. Success zero. The incandescent rods have no more error message, but the particle filter cannot be solved So my husband in the workshop, not to delete errors, I need a new DPF. Here’s a question: If only the ignition is on, no pressure on the particle filter should be measured, why the error cannot be measured by the pressure and can be deleted, OR but the error has to be fixed by lowering the ash weight in the system itself – by VCDS? Well, the workshop said 245,000 km are ok, new filters are pure. I don’t know why they didn’t set the ash values to zero or the new filter. Now I’m about to buy a tomorrow VCDS and enter the replacement of the DPF. Does that make sense? Or would it be enough to try it with a new sensor? PS: I had asked in the workshop if it could not only be the sensor, because the error is not even possible to delete .- Answer No… what do you mean, greetings send Anna, who’s been rolling in for weeks.

Meeting of the Munich Phaetonists?
An evening together, in Munich the density of the Phaetonettes has increased enormously and many here in the forum come from the “secret headquarters”. How about we take a small, informal meeting, perhaps connected with a small exit in the hinterland? Of course not in the style of the big FPOC meetings, rather something small, nice. I would have a tavern in mind What do you think of it? Would be a profit if we coordinated 3 or 4 of the many Phaeton au And that’s how the fingers don’t hurt when you’re talking about it, hey! So, what does it look like? Greetings Matthias

Highlight Assistant (DLA) doesn’t seem to hide properly anymore
Have problems with the DLA lately. I don’t only have the feeling that is sometimes not hidden correctly, but are also linked accordingly. Under “Search” I found nothing to do with it. UDO Help Is there any experience in this regard? PS in May the warranty expires after 5 years

By VCDS High mode higher and Normal mode lower?
Hello, I want to lower my thickness by means of VCDS, i.e.: I imagine to lower the normal mode by 10-15 mm, and that it is 10-15 mm higher in high mode than now, i.e. the lifting value should change from 25 mm to 45-55 mm. The lowering alone works quite smoothly over the individual channels. But this works with the additional raising somehow or is fixed the standard raising value of 25 mm for high mode and can not change Google has not spit out anything. Thank you for your help. Greetings

Problem with level regulation
Hi guys, just before I left I already read through all the possible threads, but I still can’t get any further… So my fat guy was on the lift yesterday, of course in the jack mode he confirmed. He got new brakes and a service. After the oil change, he was still on the stage, he was started to see if everything is tight, but then he didn’t show that he was in the jack mode anymore. Nothing thought about it and worked on it. Work from the stage down and he stood just as there before he was picked up. But after the first few meters he felt very funny, and look, the rear is extremely high up and normal in front. See pictures… At home then everything imaginable tried but the air suspension was not to move to a change. According to some other posts then with VCDS the chassis completely ventilated -> car at the bottom but at the back to the right much further than behind left. Then chassis ventilated -> Car evenly above as I am used to from the “high” position. Well then the chassis was still not to move over the ZAB to a height change, so chassis basic setting as I had done before. Channel 01 -> Car goes down -> VCDS says wait -> Car stays down and does not go up again (again right further down than left) Ok then again chassis ventilated, car parked (stands wrong) and again basic setting. See how it comes when logging in the flaws r “Stg does not send a seed. Error 37 blocking time active”. Ok, I thought I let him stand overnight. At the lock he left the usual air and went a little bit limper. Next day in the morning (today) everything like yesterday, car pleasantly high but right back further down as left. Then drove into the work and look, now he is perfectly high with all 4 wheels. So again basic setting tried because yes now he has no valid basic adjustment But still the error “stop time active” does someone have an idea how to move them to a basic setting? Lg and times Thank you, Philip PS: Of course he is now also complaining about the bend light

Shit, I’m happy with my Phaeton…
I would be happy with this thread, if you would just write satisfied Phaeton drivers about their car or service, or just describe positive experiences. It’s not that I don’t want to hear negative things, but I just want to find out if it’s really as bad as you read here lately. Unfortunately, there’s no driver who writes ” shit my Phaeton doesn’t break, and I have fun without end, what can I have A nice weekend, Leon.
