Hello, I still make mistakes, until then: is something known that the leather steering wheel heats better with heating times and sometimes less intensely? I even feel that it sometimes gets differently from sector to sector. And it hardly heated at low outside temperature, at few degrees more strangely good. But felt three-quarters of the heating processes bad. And then IMHO does not change during the course of the ride or at / on. That is the current condition. I have to also make RTFM again, but assume that there could be a contact matter? Hello. At the 3.0 TDI 240 hp GP2 Bj 2009 the cylinder head gasket is defective. Water in the cylinders. What do you have to plan for changing costs? Does the engine have to go out? Does 200 Tkm. Should you have other work on the engine in the train? Can someone recommend a capable workshop in the vicinity of Frankfurt am Main? Or just to Rapacho?

I have my “dicker” for almost 2 weeks now and I don’t want to miss it anymore. However, I also have a few “attentions” on you directly…… 1.) I have to see that I get changed the ABS sensor at the front right, since the old one is flat according to the previous owner. I think it’s not a big action to change it, or what do you think? Which company should it be, there are “favorites” on your part? 2.) The previous owner ran a smaller animal in front of the car one day before I had picked up the car, which caused the damage that you can see in the picture. (Get the one again something cheaper, although I could trade it down already.) …..Purchasing price was finally 5500 euros). I haven’t found a “favorable” bumper yet. Do you have any tips and tricks about what I could do there? Maybe someone lives in my immediate vicinity. 3.) Had asked a Volkswagen workshop about error memory, they wanted 30 € for it. Phaeton does not start
Hello together, my name is Mathias and I’m new here in the forum, I drive a Phaeton TDI 3.0 from 2008. On Friday the problem started. Phaeton started normal and drove to the petrol station to refuel. Car fully fueled. Then wanted to start as always, ignition on, want to start engine, but does not work. The starter does not turn, shift lever is pressed on P, brake pedal is pressed. After 10 minutes try he started at once and runs without error medication, then drove about 20 km. the car starts today again the same, starter doesn’t turn, after about 20 minutes try he jumped on, then drove about 80 km without making out, engine runs without error medication. When starting again the starter doesn’t turn again. I checked the following: – right starter battery has 12.5 volts, – left comfort battery has 11.5 volts, everything measured without ignition – starter ralais in the trunk removed, voltage is given to the coil, closing contact is actuated. . – I noticed that the mass point is corroded on the side of the air filter housing, (above is the filling nozzle of the wiper water tank), but don’t think that it can be due to that? Mass point not yet cleaned, since I have to expand the air filter box. Can someone please give me a tip on what the error can be or has someone already had the same error. Best thanks in advance! Yellow engine lamp
4 days ago the yellow motor lamp arrived after starting. At VW I read out and had it deleted. The following days everything was normal, yesterday the lamp went on again. Has someone a clue what this is and what I can possibly do. At VW I have an appointment only in 10 days (winter tires) and actually does not want to go there before. Greeting Thomas

Problem air conditioning Question to the experts
Hello back, have bought me a Phaeton again. It is a 3.0 diesel from 2011. The air conditioning does not cool and I am a bit at a loss. Refrigerant 600g are inside and have also been sucked off. The system is tight. The fan does not start, but was controlled by a tester. It then runs on all stages. The compressor also runs. The error memory is clean and contains no entries. A reset via the car button also does not change anything. n not cold. What has been noticed is that the system shows in stand 7bar. Should only be 4 bar. Why, however, can no one explain to me. Since I do not want to exchange unnecessary parts, here is the question to the experts, whether someone has ever had one or another. The assumption goes to the pressure switch or expansion valve. After a hot summer day, the wooden panel in the dashboard for the ventilation nozzle on the driver’s side was not completely opened up. Fortunately, I found on E-Bay an inexpensive, original new part of the engine transmission unit of the aperture mechanism. Since the information on the repair, which is currently on the internet, is somewhat poor, I have documented the procedure once in detail (see appendix). I hope it is helpful.

Hello Fans of the big ships, love your eyes with a Phaeton V10TDI Have zero experience with VW and Phaeton in particular and ask for your opinion. Drive mainly BAB with cruise control on long-distance (HH-Switzerland and back) How much diesel does the tank take or how far do you get with the above-mentioned driving method? What can such a load cost? (driving at present an (unsold) MB 500 SEL W-140 in LPG operation and would also like to read comparative opinions)

Maintenance costs of your Phaeton
Dear savings foxes 😛 have just sorted my invoices by car and date and entered them into a table. I can now say about what my 3 litre spar-Phaeton costs me. I bought it in mid 2013 and thus kept it about 4.6 years. In the time I drove 126,000 km. At current costs I spent on spare parts (also tires and 2nd set rims) 3.624 €, for services and inspection 450 € with which I am at running costs of approx. 4.000 €. 880€ per year. Then you can add up the loss of value purchased for 19,000€ and residual value approx. 8000€ is a loss of value of 11,000€. Costs per year incl. loss of value are 3,262€ costs per km incl. loss of value 0.12€ Some tools are added, but is not so clearly only attributable to the Phaeton. However, I would estimate that the tool costs for the Phaeton and pro rata less than 500€ remain. The most important thing is the loss of value, whereby the relatively smaller, w I can keep it for a few years or miles. This is probably more expensive to maintain. My own working time is free of charge, whereby I would clearly add this to the hobby. If there are other table fetishists, I would also be interested in your numbers.

RNS 810 with sluggish touchscreen
Hello together, for 8 weeks now I am the owner of a Phaeton 3.0 TDI year 2011. The first weeks did not go quite smoothly because I probably bought from the “wrong” dealer. After weeks the obvious improvements were finally made and I thought I had survived it it goes straight on. Since last week the door on the back of the driver’s side only opens from the inside. Here there are already some tips here in the forum. Although of course I am inclined I only have a normal VW-used car warranty, but it should cover it. I am much more disturbed by the RNA 810, the touchscreen often doesn’t respond at all. I can control most functions via voice input, but it is really annoying to have to deal with the radio all the time. Last week I even went into a radar trap known to me because I distracted by the unfunctioning touch. The workshop claims it is completely normal with the RNA 810 that it reacts hesitantly, this would be very dependent on the temperature in the interior. Unfortunately, I was also a bit hasty after the purchase and gave the RNA a firmware update and an SSD. This was done in a specialist workshop but I can’t rule out that the problem lies here of course. According to the running workshop, the update has nothing to do with it. robleme with the RNS 810 or am I an isolated case? Oh yes, the transmitters also lose themselves relatively often. Can I adjust immediately via the voice control. Sometimes it remains stored, but sometimes it is gone after 500 meters. According to “Umbauer” this has to do with a defective board, which causes these problems. Incidentally, the guarantee does not apply to the RNS.
