Hello With my Phaeton is constantly displayed “defect” when left flashing and it flashes faster, although all lamps flash in front and back and in the mirror…… What can that be? Can I turn off the monitoring for it somehow with VCDS? That not always comes the annoying error message? Thanks for the help

Finally also OMANYT and now the torment of choice
After a long search I finally have a set OMANYT 9×19 ET40, these go tomorrow to the rim doctor and will look like NEW next week, God willing. Now I have read a lot here about the tyre combinations and the agony of choice with the many suppliers, I don’t know you can read it anymore but for the current occasion and my great pleasure about the bargain I want to do everything right at the first start. Wheels from 2006 Phaeton on 2014 model? And RDK questions
Moinsen – me again. From my 2006 Phaeton (V6 TDI) I liked the summer rims (see PDF) so much that I kept them. I want to drive them on my current Phaeton (V6 TDI EZ 09/2014). But it doesn’t seem that easy. The first hurdle is probably the RDK of the current Phaeton. According to the instructions (see PDF) it should be turned off. In reality I did not find the menue point (more?). So I become the tyre dealer of my trust. ns have to go to have the RDK sensors retrofitted. Not that I had etws against VW, but there a sensor should cost 120 euros, instead of the 55 at the tyre dealer. In addition, my, actually still usable, Dunlop SP Sport 01 down. These tires with about 4mm profile then re-suspension seems not useful to me. So I will probably have the tires delivered with the current vehicle, also Dunlop SP Sport 01 with 7mm profile, re-mounted. Can someone from this round tell me not that everything is rearranged, the car is standing on stage and then there is no suitable wheel bolts! Of course it would be even easier if you could still silence the RDK junk. But that is not allowed anymore (acc. to VW). Nice Sunday and good ride all over! Karl-Heinz

What engine oil?
Dear Phaeton friends, was recently in oil change, wanted to have 10W40. The car is from 2005, 250000km.V6 The mechanic said we fill in 0w30, so it stands here in the PC, only this is allowed.In the operating instructions of the Phaeton it says: VW 50501. If you are looking for it you always find 5w40. Is the 0w30 not too thin for an old engine? Should I replace it? What should I refill, also 5w30 or 5w40? Mfg gp

Refrigerant loss – correct troubleshooting
Moin Moin. My Phaeton is currently at VW. Among other things because of an error message in the climate STG – refrigerant loss sporadically – and because of partial failure last weekend. I asked today about the state of things. The service employee told me the 160g was filled up. To the question where the refrigerant went, came the statement that this can already evaporate. To the question whether a pressure test / leak test was done, the answer was the 160g plus counter The error message in the STG had not changed its opinion for just a few weeks. With my lay-like knowledge, I assumed that the refrigerant can only be weighed outside the vehicle. So everything has to be out and then completely inside…..or is I wrong? Then a pressure test with a gas would be very close. Is contrast agents not prohibited recently? Automatic gearbox failure
Hello guys, for a few weeks I have been having problems with the gearbox of my Phaeton, it goes into trouble and in the display all functions are shown yellow, the car has run now 215000 km, first the fault only occurred sometimes if I switched the gearbox with the Tiptronic on the steering wheel but meanwhile also in normal driving mode. I then have to turn off the engine and restart then the fault has disappeared for the time being until the next switching operation under vol ler load. If I switch off the vehicle and close it for some time, the gearbox switches back to normal for some time. Maybe someone knows what that could be For a good hint I would be very grateful!

Problem with auxiliary heating
Hi people After I clicked through all threads and found nothing, here’s my problem: My heater cannot be activated by means of ZAB. So neither immediately nor via timer. However, I can call the menu “Standheizung” quite normal. I am in the menu “Standheizung” and then click on “Heizung” I hear a relay switch for a short time but that’s it already. Neither the green sign, nor the marking on the ZAB display reports that the standheizung I also checked with VCDS, the heater is not locked/locked and also with the function to start the heater in the “basic settings” I have no problems. Since the heater runs through the procedure quite normally, from “starting” to “full load” to the end. Also “regulatory pause” is there. Only the status “part load” does not appear. I pulled fuses both from the telestart and from the heater for a few minutes – > no remedy. Also the temperature measurements of the heater provide very plausible values. I really don’t know any more, because a month ago I could at least turn it on, then it ran for 2 minutes and switched off again. I hope you can help me. Thank you and dear greetings, Philip

No toll due to toll site failure in Italy?
Finally my Phaeton was allowed to make after 5 months city traffic times really kilometers. From Essen to Florence with overnight stay on round trip with friends in Munich. Was our first holiday in Italy. Before for the toll fee in Italiein a Vincard for registered 75 Euro bought at the ADAC, for the Brenner motorway additionally a video ticket. On the way good a ticket for the Italian highway pulled. When leaving the AB in Florence I wanted of course with the Vincard In front of us a car at red, it became green and he drove through the open barrier. We also in front of red, no possibility to insert the card and, swollen the wupp, the barrier was open. Return drive up in Florence, no ticket could be pulled at the toll booth! Departure, ask for the ticket from the friendly barrier keeper. I drew my Vincard, but only harvested headshakes. “Everyone who goes up on the AB, has a ticket”, says the lady. “No, we ni “Well, there was no ticket to draw,” I said. She then wanted to have 77 euros in cash! Finally agreement; my Perso, some form with a return period of 10 days and 33 euros in cash in the lady’s hand. The charged Vincard did not accept it. Is now not a Phaeton theme, but I hope for experienced Phaeton drivers with experience about the toll or the function of the toll points in Italy. Phaeton GP2 (mfd2) and Samsung’s S3
Hi, I’m actually technically somewhat savvy, I thought at least! Unfortunately, I’m not able to connect my 12/2007 Phaeton with MFD2 via rsap to my phone Samsung SIII (Galaxy 9300). I had Android 4.0 on it at the beginning, then update all updates to version 4.1.2 until today. Actually, the Samsung SIII comes with rsap from home – so it should have worked. But when pairing always the same thing. The two find themselves, I give the code e in and confirm the access permission on the mobile phone, after that the mobile phone without SIM but on the display only the message connection does not appear after approx. 1 min! After that the mobile phone gets the SIM back! I then rooted my mobile phone and played rsap for Android. Also with that no connection is made. The same with the S3 mini my wife! Do I have to take this now personally or can not actually do so. Maybe someone here with the same constellation has follow and it is due to my BT control unit?!?!? I am grateful for every suggestion!
