  • ACC defect

Servus together, now it’s me too. For a few days ACC defect permanent error in the MFA. Have a Phaeton V10 year 2007 for about 1.5 years. The first year no problems with the ACC. After a year then sporadic. Often when the car was washing, it rained heavily or I have ranked longer with the car (frequently changing the driving stages). For about a week now the permanent error is present. It appears immediately when I start the car. Would like to change try to find the error myself, or at least narrow it down, but what should I start with? Maybe I can post someone a “to-do checklist” with what to do. I don’t have a diagnostic device at hand myself. I would be very grateful about some tips! MfG Benjamin

  • DAB+ in GP4

Hello, unfortunately I only have DAB in my GP4. But would like DAB+. Can someone tell me that is a software thing or does hardware have to be retrofitted there? At classified ads someone sells a RNS 810 with DAB+. Can you just replace it? Or do you have to encode something? Thanks and greetings in the round.

  • Phaeton doesn’t start with key. Crossing relays starts the car

Hello together I have a phaeton 3.2 V6 from 2002 the car ran well until I put it off for a long time, then water can be in the footroom and nothing went anymore I got a new Kessy and had it coded by old, the car doesn’t start with the key, key is recognized ignition goes but it doesn’t start, over the relay 433 in the trunk the car starts when you bridged it and drives too. Have had the car read out by an acquaintance with vcds and delete the errors 1.Voltage supply is too small sporadic 2. Switch for tiptronic unplausible signal sporadic 3. Diagnosis interface for data bus 4. Control 2 relays for power supply terminal 50 short circuit after plus 5. Onboard voltage terminal 50 short circuit after plus 6. Onboard voltage terminal 30 7. Control unit for access and launch power at comfort CAN no signal/communication sporadic Hope someone can help me what it means. Thank you in advance

  • Which brake discs / pads for the Phaethon? Original or good alternative from the accessories

Hello together, have found only one post from 2012, would like to ask the question at the moment and hope for experience… Does someone have brake discs / brake pads installed which are not original? If yes, what experiences did you have with them? I drive a GP3, V6 TDI, 55 tkm and probably must change the pads soon.. Yesterday came a warning, brake pads control…. Looking forward to your feedback../Experiences Thank you and greeting Gerhard

  • Infotainment only starts after about 30 minutes, previously occasional bootloop

Servus from Northern Bavaria! I’m new here among the Phaeton riders After I tested a V6 GP2, which had already convinced me of the comfort, suddenly a very well-kept V10 TDI came down from the sky, 192 Tkm, checkbook, second hand, no rust, 4 seats, long version in dark blue (in my knowledge in Luna blue). So I am very happy owner of a V10 TDI EZ 31.10.2006. That the vehicle is not fault-free was known to me, however I have the consisting e problem pushed onto the comfort battery, which may have been wrong. As can be seen in the title, an unfunctioning infotainment system bothers me. As the inclined Phaeton driver knows, it is also not possible to use the heater or general heating use. Kessy also works sporadicly, electric tailgate despite new wire harnesses. Everything is very mysterious. After some research I am on the following possible error source Defected comfort battery (quiet current of 14.7 volts) -Defected chip in the infotainment system Already I tried to charge the battery with an AGM charger, even after 16 hours of charging, the device still displays “charging”. I am a little skeptical about whether the battery will collapse under load (or peak to start the vehicle) and then only works when all capacitors have their charge as well as k have an underspense more (yes, very academic view ) I am also happy to be open for further solution advice. Thank you in advance!

  • Diesel particulate filters and power reduction?

Hey friends, wanted to go to the city this morning and take a ride with my fat guy. Anyway, after about 3 minutes when I started the error message came that the DPF filter is full and that I should read the manual. I did everything as it was in the book and I also drove 80km and while driving the light bulb flashed, suddenly the car also slightly accelerated as if the turbo was without function. When I felt the error after the (regernations) ride After another 3 minutes the same error came again, plus luminous engine control light. I also did not drive short distances a week ago I came out of the holiday and drove back and forth 1300km. My question would also be whether the emergency run is a problem of my own or whether it is related to the filter, unfortunately I don’t have much idea of cars myself. Also, I don’t know what else to do besides nurturing the thing, cleaning it out or having it emptied out and coded out. W I would be very grateful if someone had other suggestions and could help! (To picture 1: Since the MKL did not shine permanently it only showed the message and beeped constantly) (To picture 2: No flashing pre-glare but still power limit)

  • Buy Phaeton with “door rust”?

Hello forum, I have been looking for a V8 for some time now. Due to the set purchase limit of about 10 t€ almost only vehicles with an age around the 10 years come into consideration. These are mostly with private people or with flags dealers – so nothing with VW carefree guarantee. Many of the vehicles I looked at have more or less pronounced “alurost bubbles” on the door edges ( trims ok). If you know that they exist, you can find them almost always… I have already a h ier read through the forum – but mostly it was about younger vehicles, which VW often repaired on Kulanz. So now my questions: How do these rust bubbles develop? Are they still bursting up and getting really ugly? With a 10 year old Phaeton I certainly no longer need to hope for Kulanz from VW, do I? • Basic adjustment of the air suspension after lowering with coupling rods not possible

Hello together! Maybe someone can help me here… I took the Phaeton on the lift yesterday to do some things… new xenon burners, new tire pressure sensors etc., among other things I installed new coupling bars on the level sensors so that it comes down a bit lower and the software solution via vcds is not enough for me. Now to the problem: car taken off the stage is so good. I then drove a lap and have all settings once played through… high, down, hard and soft… it came short the error message error level workshop… after I turned off the ignition and again the message was gone… I finally measured again from each wheel… (wheel nut to bottom of the blade) and then wanted to delete the error memory… when that was done I wanted to make a level basic setting by tester and then the fun started. Vehicle lowers at the front completely from u nd also stopped just like that… back exactly the other way round full program on hit back high… then eventually managed to lift it by tester in front and let off something so that I could still drive home… funny was however that the compressor ran continuously and wanted to lift further back although the car was standing for a long time on hit back… When I arrived at home he was back again relatively high and was also very hard in the back… front bl ieb everything as it was still set at the workshop. Today a friend of mine was working relatively much with vcds to make the basic setting with me… now stands in the error memory which from the level sensor back right unplausible signal. We looked at the values of all sensors and all give us a signal and also the values lie by axis close to each other… Furthermore he gives now even though the vehicle is completely moderate in height there is constantly the message i m Display “stop vehicle too deep” The sensors were unscrewed Werder any other thing… Is that supposed to be a coincidence that the sensor has it behind it or does anyone know these symptoms???

  • n.i.O Wheel measurement according to tyre wear

Hello Phaetonauten, today I picked up my P from the inspection and from an axle measurement because of heavy tire wear at the VA again at the friendly. Before 10 Tkm all wheel bearings were changed because of running noise on guarantee, whereby here according to RE again an axle measurement was made. After this time already 5 Tkm the summer tires have run now and these front left outside very strong, vore inside strong and left inside also more strongly run away I insisted that the axles were measured again. Today I was presented with the measured values, which were set to 0° 28′ and to 1°28′ in the fall with a tolerance -1.33′ – 0.43′. The Kd man said after my question, why is the fall value besides the tolerance, that this could not be better adjusted !? Also one has no proof of the change of the wheel bearings, because here the values would have fit? What is your opinion on this ? From my point of view, ss vo li die n.i.O Fall adjustment in the tolerance values mentioned at the expense of VW are set correctly. P.S The axle measurement was not set in RE – probably because you had forgotten when changing the wheel bearings Greetings from Upper Franconia Michael

  • Electronics spins, water break under the starter battery

Hello together 🙂 I’ve been having several problems with my VW Phaeton 3.0 TDI Year of construction 2013 I’m going to spin a key, then the engine doesn’t start right away. So I’m turning keys again then it starts but the start process is like delayed. The button on the selector lever is blocked for 10 seconds longer than normal. The parking sensors go to red. And the front assist is simply switched off (without error) although by default. Then it happens in some cases. I turn it off and it’s back on again. Park sensors then go back on their own after a few minutes and the front assist can be activated as normal. So far so good. In winter I changed the comfort battery because the heater at – temperatures no longer wanted to. I changed the starter battery at the same time and found that everything was wet in the box on the right. Nothing thought about it… yesterday and the day before yesterday the mistake was again very often there again. Then I looked in there again and see again everything wet. My questions, do you have an idea where the water could come from? From above it does not seem to come then it runs behind the ECU / through the ECU. Can you tell me what this ECU is? Did you have maybe already similar problems? Thank you and nice Sunday 🙂
