  • Mayday-Mayday, super lead-free instead of diesel fueled!

    Moin, I had a really stressful day today, which I have just put on the crown myself: instead of diesel I have just 50 L Super lead-free in my Phaton 3.0 V6 TDI with just under 13,000 km of mileage! I drove about 3 km after refueling, parked, brought a package to the post office and then the car started only in the third attempt. An error message was not shown to me, so I drove slowly. Only then I remembered that I was super lead-free instead of diesel After refuelling: 3,9 km . Tomorrow I have my Phaeton towed into the factory, pump the tank empty and clean the fuel system.Was someone in front of me ever so trotty and there are some experiences, whether this route after the wrong refuelling could have caused serious damage to the engine, fuel or exhaust system? I could bite myself in the very best, but I am because of the good bet rs has been driving almost only with my Smart Cabrio lately and I guess I’ve already gotten used to the super lead-free tank… Greetings from Hamburg BjΓΆrn

  • 3.0 TDI “singing” noise while accelerating

    I am with my 3.0 TDI, 167 TKM just abroad outside the EU and have a “singing” sound in a warm operating state for 2 days with more acceleration, in the engine compartment I mean to be able to perceive a slight smell of something too hot cables. A direct dependence on the engine speed does not seem to exist. As a non-specialist I would first tap on the alternator or the drive belt, sounds like a typical V-belt problem (quiet at engine start) e but not. I would be grateful for relevant information, possibly also a tip if you can start a journey home of 2000km without staying in the Pampa. THANK YOU !

  • Disturbed function of locking the passenger door

    Hello together, I have only been reading here for a few days, although I already drive my second Phaeton. First, a V6 Diesel died on the 2nd of Advent 2017 at the age of 2 years and 35,000 km at a crossroads, when another road user did not recognize his red traffic light in the snowstorm. R.I.P. Luckily no personal damage – so everything is good. My “newer” is from 04-2016 and now has 2 more cylinders. But my previous owner saved on the color – in white he does not look so chic along the way But the fun factor is much higher. A small step on the pedal now really triggers something πŸ™‚ The driveway at the tank as well ;-/ But now to my question, which I did not find an answer to despite research. I open the car by ZV and pull the door at the door handle, so the door opens – the front passenger’s door is finished. There you have to pull a second time, then it opens. So like opening from the inside when locked. First opening opens d he ZV and second pulling opens the door. Maybe there is a very simple solution for it. Otherwise I have to be friendly, but I fear that I will have to give the car a day for such a little something …

  • Door Panel vibrates with some loud music or with the BASS VW Phaeton GP3 3.0 TDI

    Hello my dear Phaeton friends πŸ™‚ I have the following problem: It’s about my door panel (driver side) it vibrates very much with some loud music e.g. with house music etc it crackles/vibrates always I was in the workshop now already two times but it hasn’t changed great something:-( As soon as I press my fingers only very easily on the door panel it’s gone πŸ™‚ I really don’t know what to do or what to do now πŸ™‚ n kann vllt it is only a small thing πŸ™‚ I wanted to ask you if your idea for me has what I should do about it or how I should proceed πŸ™‚ Mfg and many thanks to you πŸ™‚

  • Problems with battery voltage followed by gear problems although new batteries

    Hello Together, as a long-term (silent) reader I now have a serious problem with my diva, whereupon I post my first post here and hope for tips and/or advice, thank you very much in advance. Key data: 3.0 TDI, 239PS, BJ. 2010, mileage 210K 0603/AUT000048 With o.g. mileage never had problems, except of course wear parts. Both batteries (board net and starter) were still the original ones (2010). Until last year at the beginning of the winter time November 2022 I had the Reported when ignition “Please start the engine”, which I initially ignored until at some point aut. tailgate, window lifter, MFA no longer worked. Of course then driven to the friendly on 11.2022 and renewed the power supply battery (VARTA G14 95 Ah). Then no problems….until next winter. Now now 10.2023 again at autumn/winter time the same message when ignition in the MFA “Please start the engine”. Well now again driven to the friendly and this time the start it renews the battery (Varta 60Ah). Nevertheless, I get the message again and again (batteries both new) with ignition “Please start the engine”. This went then as far as yesterday morning the following pass is: Key in/ZΓΌndung an –> Everything dark (MFA/Tachometer) started 3 times loud beeping engine –> in gear position R switched –> there was a violent jerk first. Then in gear position D turned –> again violent jerk. But I started. In the MFA no gear indicator visible. and the rides I noticed that the Diva does not switch higher than the 3rd gear, i.e. I drove 5 km of highway only max. 50 km/h (emergency run?). At the finish arrived engine off –> 30 min. Later ignition/engine on and normally returned home as if there had never been anything πŸ™‚ Now to my 2 questions: 1. Voltage on the on-board grid not sufficient despite 2 new batteries? Still consumer? LiMA? 2. Can the defective voltage affect the transmission? r with you to get help and if necessary tips on how I could/should proceed here. Maybe the one or other similar problems with battery voltage/gear and happy and thank me very much for any answer. Greeting Alexs_87

  • Conversion to ZAB with Android system and touch display

    As I have already mentioned at other places, for my 2006 GP0 such a device has run to me or it is still on the way to me. Preparing I want to have as much as possible necessary there, in order to then be able to convert between the holidays. Here arises for me the following problem. I do not want to install an additional GPS antenna for Android, but by means of a Y branch use the existing antenna. To this my question, where is the GPS cable connected? I assume on the Navi-Calculator in the glove compartment, right? Second question, what kind of connection is it, Fakra? Can anyone say that with certainty? Then I would be able to order the appropriate branch adapter. Or do I build my own one out and look, someone knows how to remove it? Do I need something special for this? Greetings Mario

  • W12 Optics

    Hello people Since my car is closed over the winter, I refitted the exhaust hoods of the W12 3 days ago. Since I could buy the things at Ebay cheaply, the temptation was too great, because I liked the look of the W12 better. I ordered the rest at the friendly one and then got started. I have to admit that I already had some inhibition at the beginning, especially since nobody could really help me with VW ( probably no one in the Munich area had yet But the parts fit like lubricated and the result can really be seen. Today the new grill from the long version was added. Next I am looking for a new set of summer tires 19″ or so, if someone can help me there I would be very grateful… Gruss Sven

  • Vibration and pulls slightly right

    My diva pulls slightly to the right and has noticeable vibrations in the stand between 1200 – 1700 revolutions. Also not soo bad but not high class worthy… Workshop set the track, was slightly warped. To the vibrations VW says this is standard stand. However, it pulls still slightly to the right, at higher speeds noticeably. But I type on crossbars or something. Can I somehow find out for myself to explain to the workshop what to do? Zottel is unfortunately 5h away Greetings from Ingolstadt!

  • Gearbox makes problems

    Hello dear phaeton driver. Have the following problem with my phaeton Bj 2005 3.0 v6 The automatic transmission has started to make problems first between the 2-3 gears a jerk and when I go from gas the speed fluctuates. And at kickdown full gass I come in emergency programs. Since short I start the engine backwards gear in does not get out again in emergency programs then after bisl driving it works. Today even the motor light has approached. min get a diagnosis. Vill someone experience. Thanks in advance.

  • ACC error in the display

    Hi, yesterday I got a call from the salesman (private) that the phaeton(2004er V8) I had looked at shows the report acc error in the display. what limitations does this error cause when driving? or does the error have to be fixed immediately since the car is impossible to drive? thank you for infos.
