Hello the UP from my wife shows the following error: The clutch pedal is blocked, you can no longer step back. She then runs right, turns off the box, restarts it again. Has happened 2 times in the last 3 weeks. UP Year of construction 2016 60 hp. 80 000km The workshop seemed a bit at a loss and made the following suggestion to change everything on a slide, giver, taker, clutch, with new Öel and ventilate …. Think that will be expensive… Does anyone know the problem .. ? VG Hans

Water in the footroom passenger side
Hello people, I noticed yesterday that passenger side my footroom is wet. Can exclude water box and door drain, because water runs off perfectly. Climate I can probably also exclude, because it is not damp on the left side of the middle tunnel. I do not know where the water could come from. At the entrance it is also moist. Water is only below the seat or in front of the seat

How often do an oil change in my car use?
Hello, I drive a 2014 VW Up Cup. It is now about 48,000 kilometers. Last year I drove about 3000 kilometers. Since I live very centrally in the city, I don’t drive so much. The car is parked in an underground garage. In recent years I have always had an oil change carried out every year. Since I let that happen every 10.000 kilometers or even every 12 months. Now I leave it, however, that if possible also every 2 years an oil change It is sufficient if you have a low mileage. What do you think about it and what would you recommend to me? Oil change here in Munich costs between 90 and 120 euros. Thank you very much.

Strange noise when starting – help with diagnosis sought (VW EcoUp 2015)
Hello together and a happy new year! I have a problem with my VW EcoUp (BJ 2015, 110.000+ km, regularly waited) and hope one of you has an idea: When starting or starting, especially with a cold engine, occasionally a strange noise occurs. Here you can listen to it:https://youtube.com/shorts/vQYw8PEf4mQ?si=yfApNLI3c6BYzn6T I was already on the lift – all axles, wheels and moving parts were checked, except for the hot exhaust. Unfortunately, n The sound could not be reproduced at that moment either, since it does not always occur. A few observations: In idle one does not hear anything, even if I give gas. The sound occurs more often when the engine is loaded, e.g. when it is starting up uphill. However, it remains silent. I am at a loss and uncertain how to proceed best. If someone has had similar experiences with his VW Up or a conjecture about what it might be. Thank you in advance!

How the hell do I get out of having a particle filter (petrol) or not?
Hello! I’m a bit desperate now, because I can’t get it out and it plays a role in buying oil. In the manual it’s an OPF mentioned, but not if my specific vehicle has one. Also in the Haynes manual I can’t find anything. I was under it today because I thought I got certainty. -> see pictures After the cracker comes a lambda probe, then apparently the cat (senkrechte built-in), another lambda probe, flex tube and then a short round cylinder, then the lan Is the short round cylinder of the particle filters? Unfortunately, the label is not clear regarding 5 or 8 or 9 – don’t find a specific part to the numbers that looks the same. If I enter the vehicle at kfzteile24.de, exhaust systems are offered without this part 🙁 Do you have a reliable information particle filters or not? — VW up! 3 Zyl, 44kW / 60 HP, 999cm3 Engine ID CHYE First registration 2020-Feb-24

Enter the trailer load on the VW Up! in the vehicle papers
Hello, I didn’t find anything about the search function – I hope someone can help you. We would like to retrofit a trailer coupling at our VW Up! 1.0 with 44 kW / 60 hp, built in May 2012 (for a bicycle carrier and a small hardware store trailer with a maximum permissible weight of 750 kg). There are several suppliers of trailer couplings for the Up! on the Internet, even entry-free with ABE and according to the description with 850 kg trailer load and 50 kg support load. I w ar just press the order button when I saw in the vehicle registration (ZB part I) that under O.1 and O.2 there are no values braked at the trailer load / unbraked but a line. I then asked the suppliers of the trailer couplings who told me if no trailer load is entered in the vehicle registration certificate then the vehicle is not designed for the trailer operation, they do not provide an expert report or similar with which I could have a trailer load registered. ch then asked the TÜV who told me that one can register a trailer load if there is an expert report in which it is confirmed that the desired trailer coupling on the vehicle and the vehicle itself is designed for the trailer load (which however the suppliers of the trailer couplings cannot deliver to me). Yesterday I wrote to the customer service of VW, there are up! ́s with retrofitted trailer couplings and they would have to have a trailer load in the papers e and I have therefore asked whether they can send me an expert report or a certificate for a maximum trailer load for a registration (reply is still pending). Now the questions to you or those who have retrofitted an AHK: 1. Was there originally no trailer load entered in the vehicle certificate? 2. If not, did you have a follow-up and if so, how did you proceed? Once a trailer load is entered in the papers then it would have to be possible to mount an accessory AHK with ABE which then no longer has to be registered. Thanks already in advance and many greetings Frank

Cruise doesn’t work anymore
Hello freaks, unfortunately I did not find a corresponding entry to my problem in the search, or there was not yet this problem. The cruise control can no longer be activated. It also does not help to set the switch to “Off” and “on”. Apparently there is no requirement to activate the function. What is it all possible? Are there switches on the clutch/brempedal or other contacts (set/mem/blinker lever) that I check (measuring device and electrical skills available) n) can? Or is the way to read out the error code not spared? My UP! is built in 01/2013, have already received a new switch for the passenger airbag (guarantee), was defective though never used! In addition, rusting on the tank plugs form since January!? Always carefully done the car wash with your hand! After six years this should not actually be yet. Since I always use the cruise control I am grateful for any help. silverfish20

Purchase advice Beginner’s car
Hello guys, my daughter will be in December 18 and should get her first car. I think that the up is quite suitable there. Since I myself come from the Opel warehouse, I don’t know myself so well with VW and therefore turn to you. Available are 700€-7500€ maximum. My question is, should I rather grab the facelift model from 2016, does it matter or is a model even better before 2016? Would you recommend to the 75PSer or does it take nothing to the 60PSer? Had one once with 6 0PS as a rental car for 3days and found the much faster than our 60PS D Corsa. Very important for them is the connection from the smartphone with the car to the music play. The radio in the facelift can be connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth. Is this also possible with the radio in the first model year, or can you play zb Amazon Music? I would be grateful about further tips.

Motor takes longer to start
Hello together, for about a month now I realize again and again that my up takes longer to start than usual. If I turn the key, it will take 2-3s longer than before until the engine starts. This only occurs if the car was standing longer (e.g. overnight). If the car is parked and restarted after half an hour, it will start normally. It is about a BJ 2014, 69,000km with the 44kw (60hp) engine. I have the battery before c a. 6 months renewed (Bosch). The spark plugs were already new in 2018 at about 42,000km. The problem I noticed for the first time about 1 – 1.5 months ago and since then regularly. Before he jumped directly at the key turning, now he orgates for 2-3s. Has any of you ever had similar experiences? Or tips where to look? Thanks and greetings!

Luggage compartment Side walls Self-construction
In the luggage net topic I had already announced that I would like to make side parts for the trunk. Today I started the project once. First I made a template of cardboard and paper, and slowly fastened to the right shape. As material I got an artificial plate from my landlord. With the plates the carport was protected from weather from outside, about 5mm thick, white coated. The exact name just falls to me nic The stencil pattern I then transferred to the plate and sawed out with a jigsaw (metal sheet). Unfortunately my battery screwdriver is in the company, therefore only the holes are missing. As screws I take countersunk head screws which I also have to get (2*M8*20mm, 1* M8 40mm) But the result looks quite good. Therefore, I have chosen the height so that you can still reach the lamp flaps from the rear light. In addition, the black plastic holder can also be removed if necessary. The back is still glued with foam rubber, so that the paint is not scraped on and no vibration noises can occur. I will round off the upper edges of the bulge a bit. The loading edge is glued on top and from the inside with artificial foil from the vehicle advertisement. Actually I am not a friend of semi-finished presentations, but would like to give you an impression.
