  • Problem solving: No maps and more what can be done

Part 1 Navigation Since my VW Up didn’t have any maps and more I was thinking about what other solutions there are. I own a Samsung Galaxy Note which is already equipped with navigation. So the first thing I wanted was a mobile phone mount. Shouldn’t be a suction cup mount on the windscreen. Since the VW Up has a beautiful smooth surface on the dashboard I decided to put it there. At Ebay I found exactly what I was looking for. Here is the link to Eba y: Holder The whole part costs only 3.75 Euro inclusive Transport from China Delivery time with me 20 days The whole holds bomb-proof and looks good.In the second part I deal with Motortronic

  • After forced software update regarding steering no CNG operation anymore

I’m pissed off. I don’t know if it’s the workshop or VW. I’ve had my Eco Up over the turn of the year because of a paint repair in the VW specialist workshop. I was forced to miss a software update for steering. (no idea what the number. They just showed me on a handwritten note.) Anyway, the vehicle doesn’t switch to the CNG drive anymore. Have the suspicion that they were too stupid to choose the right version. It may no longer be possible until the corrective date on Wednesday, but is there a possibility of forensic backup of the on-board computer? And what do you need?

  • Ikea experience with`m Up!

Hi and good evening together. Women’s question: Was someone already with the little one at Ikea? Have a Bj 2012, of course without the great foldable passenger seat. Whether I still get a small 2m Pax stowed away? I hate to get out into the rails and probably I can’t manage with the fair anyway. What do you think you fit in 200x50cm, don’t you?

  • Questions about the Merano rim 15 inches

I have two questions about the 15-inch rim “Merano” that can be driven on the Up!: 1. Can I drive full-year tyres with 185 width on it? On the VW side, only 165 width is allowed for M+S… The 185 size is missing the indication M+S. 2. Why is the model year 2018 not in the model list on the VW side? Has the list not been updated yet or has it been slightly changed on the up! MJ 18 and the rim can no longer be driven from there? • Frozen windshield from the inside!

Hello dear ones, maybe you have the appropriate advice for me. Since the temperatures have dropped below 0 degrees, the windshield freezes to me from the inside. I don’t know this problem from my fore-vehicle, a Polo 9N. How can it happen and what can you do about it. I would not have expected this problem from a new car. I would be very grateful for every tip of you, since it costs time and nerves every morning to de-iron the windshield. Thank you already in advance.

  • Report on Probes

Yesterday I was with my girlfriend at the dealer to get parts. Since she is driving a clumsy Citroen AX and I am afraid for her, I wanted to buy a second car with airbags. Since an up! was in the sales room, I had her put in and … she wanted to get out immediately! The headrest pushed her about 40 degrees (!) forward and that looked very uncomfortable. It was not possible. So quickly it came out for the up! The polo then liked her much better. I ha be the same problem with the Tiguan and would like to ask if I am only anatomically poorly built or if others are doing the same?

  • Prices winter bikes Up! and general

In the confectioner of the Up! there is an option 4 winter complete wheels in addition. The price is 435 € which I think is socially compatible. Can someone from previous experience at VW tell me if the prices of the configurator are valid if after purchase of winter complete wheels, or if there are blatant outliers up in the price. It is not about Pinatz ala 20 €. Rather, the question I can not yet finally clarify for me whether I can Let winter tires pull onto the original rims and pack the summer tires on aluminium. Since I don’t like the VW-Alus the originals VW are not in question either. Nice greeting from the Middle East Clive

  • What’s this ad?

Hello people, before I come to my actual question a little preamble. My employer probably remembers my place of work in the second/third quarter by a lot of 50 km. Currently my wife uses our family carriage, but then we need a second car. I need something “relatively inexpensive” with a certain comfort (end of 40 one(s) just a little demanding). Thus, the whole cheap section (Dacia against because I don’t want to say anything in principle) dissociated. Because a seat heating I already want a cruise control. After all, the 50 km are around the 45 km highway with me. So I chiseled towards Pos (1,2 TSI) or Golf VI (as a used person). At the Polo I was buried with the missing cooling water temperature indicator. I have saved a cylinder head seal just once, so I am a burnt child. The Golf VI is in my view a suuuper car, with everything I want, also affordable as a used person. But for the purpose of use own Now I stumbled over the Up!, which gives me a nice impression and brings exactly that, from the air conditioning to the seat heating to the cruise control, what I’m looking for. On Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc_xyN9yYgg I saw a driving report that also shows the Map & More. There’s an indicator for the cooling water temperature (class!!!), but what’s that right next to it (at 02:16). The display goes from -50°C to +50°C and that can’t be possible. What do you think about it?

  • Tech. Up! drive data

Hello, I am interested in the up, especially the new three-cylinder. So far there is only very meager information. But I am interested in the technical design and possibly the origin of the unit. For reasons of rational production, for example, it could be an offshoot of the also almost new 1.2 TSI, which is now shortened by a cylinder unit and without charge, but comes with a four-valve head. 75 hp from 999 cm3 cylinder capacity is otherwise hardly possible, the speed level of 6200 1/min. The displacement could result from a little more stroke (approx. 8mm) than the assumed four-cylinder, or does it have a little more bore (approx. 4mm) with the same stroke? Also of interest: material of the block, compaction, type of camshaft drive, variable control times (in the stronger probably inevitable), balancing shaft, weight (<70 kg?), mixture preparation (direct or suction pipe injection) etc. etc. There are insiders here, who are allowed to spoil this already od he just people who have researched better?. Thank you.

  • UP (2011/2012)

Dear VW municipality, I have already read a lot of things about the probably still 2011 released “Up!”, but not much definites. Since the successor of the Lupo (L_Up_O) will probably not be an unimportant vehicle, I would like to have a thread about maintenance in which you can collect information about it. In addition to the body variants, which probably contain at least a 3-door, but also a 5 door (Space-Up), I find above all the motorization not uninteresting. In addition to the familiar 1.2 engines, as they can also be found in Fox and Polo, I have already read about new 3-cylinder TSI engines. Of course, more detailed information about this would be very interesting if there were any. Furthermore, of course, 4 cylinders, like the 86PS TSi would be conceivable … And of course: Diesel (1.2 TDI with 75 hp?). For new rumors, or better still: real information, would I be very open. Does anyone know something? Many greetings, Phil
