VW Up Satisfaction Winner 2014
The renowned US market research institute .D. Power and “Auto Test”, the trade magazine for the purchase of new cars from Auto Bild, have named their winners this year. The Volkswagen Up achieved the highest satisfaction values at the J.D. Power VOSS (= Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study) in their vehicle segment and were rewarded with the first place. I actually didn’t have anything to complain about at my up. It runs and runs and runs. http://www.motorvision.de/…/-customer-test-overall winner- 163665.html

A few questions about the up in relation to delivery activities
Hello, I’m thinking about getting the VW-up with natural gas engine, but have a few questions. First of all, the initial situation: The vehicle is used for private use and for my work (newspapers). The division of private/work is quite exactly 50:50, at about 1500km per month. That the vehicle is used for the newspaper, means: 6x a week at night about 100 to 300 times (depending on how many districts I drive), after a few meters brake again, then for a short time silently I save a huge amount of costs with a natural gas engine while the delivery activity is many times higher than “normal” [through the extremely many start-up]. which have 1500 km (as it is in fact for me at the moment) a consumption, as if I had driven “normal” 3000 km (!). (Alone because of these normal consumption savings (for my current GolfIII) a monthly payment rate would already be largely fin In addition to the savings due to consumption and lower fuel costs, it was also a consideration that the start-stop automatic could additionally save noticeable fuel here (the vehicle is standing 1 to 3 hours simply with a running engine per night). Unfortunately, I had to find out during a test drive that the start-stop automatic is practically useless because the car is completely parked when you open the door or you strap off. Technology could really be used (supplier of any kind) has nothing of it. One could save a three-digit amount per year if the start-stop-automaton would also function, if one opened the doors in the meantime (the problem with the belt is solved ;-)). My first question would be thus: Can one “uncouple” the start-stop-automaton from the door? This would be connected with the question: If it were possible, then the car would also be released about 100 to 300 times per night and again. The next point: I would like to get a “two-seater version”. In fact, I drive the car alone. Every additional seat is unnecessary. A larger trunk would be useful. So there is a “Citivan version” of the vehicle in Austria. Unfortunately, the German configurator doesn’t spit out this version. For this there is a “commercial package”, which is delivered without rear seats. Now I am interested in how this version limps. For example: Are there still the “slices” for belts cut out, or are the disguises “to” (which I would prefer optically)? And: Does one have a “plane area” there up to the front seats? The seller could not give me any information about it and wanted to see if he could find pictures. After three times asking for a period of over a month with him without an answer (he always wants to make himself smart) I hope, here someone can give me information. V Would I be happy if I could get answers? Greeting Daniel PS: And because I like to tell one, my further impression of the vehicle, in particular with regard to “delivery activities”: the consumption is of course THE big plus point. The fact that you are sitting quite high is advantageous with the many getting in and out (from my current car is far more exciting) But there are some Sac These are annoying: This warning tone, if you are not strapped on! Practically, no delivery person in the world is strapped on within its district. This strap-on is extremely annoying however. So you have to put a “Dummy” in the belt lock, both as a driver, as well as with the passenger and possibly also on the rear seats when the cart is full of newspapers (Yes, a bunch of newspapers is heavy enough to activate the sensor). I would have liked the “two-part” interior lighting, m It saves reading light on the passenger side. The glare is not as strong as the very disturbing “large” light. With up to 5 different newspapers after which you have to reach for all the time, as well as the “supplier list” on which you have to constantly look, you need almost permanent interior lighting. However, this “two-part” light seems to be only in connection with a sunroof, which I don’t really want to afford for it. With all the small “nerves” of the vehicle s is the cost saving in the consumption still “DAS criterion”. Basically the question is only: Seat Mii, Scoda Citigo or VW Up? And since I currently like the up, if the interior look of the two-seater version suits me. If this should not be given, then the price advantage of the other models pulls again.

it makes “thumpy bell”
Hello, when pairing in it makes it dull klock, if I do not have a very soft coupling. Think the noise is caused by the load change. At first it was only on and off there, now more often. Can you give me a tip? Exhaust seems firm, rubbers all on it. Greeting Volker

Full-year tyres: experience and wear and tear
Moin, a new theme for all-year tyres. Mine are now 1.5 years old and after 15tkm already down to 3-4mm in front. The rear ones are a bit better 4-5mm. I drive quite material-friendly, as you can see from the fuel consumption with me. BEi my other cars (SR/WR Kombi) I never had high tire wear. Lt. Autohaus: It is completely normal with all-year tyres. In this respect, this will probably be my last GJ tyres and will change again to the SR/WR Kombi. d your experiences? Greetings

Brake firmly on start-up
Servus (I’m the new one ), With me the front brakes are sometimes fixed for a short time, after I want to start again from the traffic light (sometimes very practical, if it goes a little uphill ). Today he died for me during the rearward start (First I didn’t know what was going on) Generally, when I drive back home and then back into the parking lot I notice this more often. You can feel (and hear) the jerk even partially. At first I thought that was coming. so that he is still new (he had 250km on it), meanwhile (10.000km) the thought disappears increasingly. Is complaining at a high level and doesn’t bother me any more, but would still like to know if there is only my bit bitchy. Greeting, Kevin

Up compared to the Fox – can he pass the water?
I have read a little bit about the up now and I really wonder, in which areas can the up even reach the Fox the water? As a successor the IMO will have a very heavy stand against its predecessor. Where can the up score in comparison?

up! as a 5-door
Dear community, especially interesting at the studies that VW has shown to the IAA presentation of up!, I find the seinenahen versions. Above all the cross-up!, which should probably be a pretty good harbinger of the 5 door up!. On the pictures I noticed, however, that the Sparzwang could probably also mean that, as with the Toyota Aygo and the sister models, the window will probably not be retractable at the rear doors. But only possible … at least probably I do, if I look more closely with the rear disc on the pictures 🙂 I once attached two photos … I hope you can see the small anchor point in the disc. Was anyone on the IAA and has seen this more closely?
