  • Couple in the USA names their children ”Lexus, Porsche and Audi”

Hi I found a very curious message on AutoBlog. Parents from Texas named their children after car brands: Lexus, Porsche and Audi. It doesn’t have anything to do with Lexus, but I find the message quite interesting/strange, because I’m going to be a dad next month and I thought my daughter would get an exotic (double) name Here’s the message: Klick Greetings, Heron

  • Lexus infected and infected / away from Audi to Lexus

So I’m already writing even though I still have the A6 and reserve the Lexus, but I still have to wait 3 weeks until everything is done. The Audi is back in the workshop because of the lamella clutch, paid by Audi, and the A6 goes away Thursday towards Parchim. Then the Audi era is history after 15 years. Have Mercedes tried SEEEEEEEEEE and again SEEEEEEEE. Volvo is ticked and Saab is also and now RIGHT————LEXUS——————– I like this car when putting in, a feeling of comfort, warmth, etc., so no yoghurt cup syndrome. Many many niceties to players, but after the basic version I said luxury equipment is a must. The gasoline with automatic is super quiet and the automatic of the finest, but the engine was not convincing for me where I had my It doesn’t rip me off the stool. The diesel also doesn’t but I don’t want to drive economically and comfortably and important!!! also arrive, which was not always the case with Audi. No matter. I decided: I buy my car in Saxony, is not just around the corner, but a good range of cars and the contact was and is perfect. I expressed my wishes and yesterday evening they were fulfilled. A LEXUS 220 D in the luxury version with navigation. Color black and the leather in Beige, I think that looks good. The car is half a year old and that’s it. Now I have to go to Venice for a little 3 weeks and can’t wait now. That won’t be a short but powerful laaaaange 3 weeks, oh mann! That’s it for now and I think I’ll come back to the forum with a lot of questions.

  • Motorkote Motor oil Automatic oil Addition?

Have motorkote from the USA (www.motorkote.com) bought with allegedly sensational results (clear fuel saving, running faster, etc.). May I add this, as stated, to the engine or to the automatic transmission of the Lexus LS400 Bj95 (all Toyota oils). Risk? Does anyone know? Would you like to upgrade to car gas this year, then everything gets messed up with enginekote? Risk? Thank you, gkfr.

  • — Questions about the GS450 Hybrid… !?!? —

Hello everyone! Actually, I am mostly on the road in the BMW forum, so I asked you a question: Last weekend I was at the Vienna Autoshow and there I got the GS450h in my eye. I myself drive a BMW 530d, EZ 2007, 235hp, R6 engine. I already drove the “old” Lexus GS430, aben as a gasoline engine. I liked it very much. Now back to the car show. There at the standl a salesman actually said that the GS450h would consume less than my 530d. not quite with… On the Internet you can download no brochures or technical data, so that I have this before my eyes. I drive a lot, I used to drive up to 90,000km a year, now it is “only” more to the 50,000km. With my BMW I am completely satisfied and with my balanced driving mode (city and country cozy, quiet – highway rather fast on the road) I get about 8 to 8,5 liters on 100km. I speak of diesel. I do not pay attention to Klimma. nlage, seat heating or other jokes, because why do you have the extras if you don’t turn them on / use them!? I don’t intend to change the vehicle now, but I would be interested as a “normalo diesel driver” sometimes, whether or how much you use less and/or cheaper with a hybrid in this vehicle class. And besides… why are there no diesel hybrid cars? Would in my view still be a number more economical… Greeting from Vienna, yambaaa

  • IS-F vs M3 vs RS4 (video)

Hi, I discovered a video that Is-F in 2008 compared to RS4 and M3 Coupe, I didn’t want to keep that from you:IS-F vs M3 vs RS4 Conclusion of the comparison: The IS-F accelerates better, slows better, is better in handling and the best overall package The tester doesn’t get out of the swarm anymore, but maybe the video was shot by Lexus himself

  • Lexus retreat?

Yesterday, with some astonishment, I found that all Lexus North Bavarian forums have closed down… (WÜ, AB and SW)…. so there is now not a single one within a radius of more than 100 km around Würzburg anymore….. I would understand that if that were the case in an economically weak region – but that is certainly not Würzburg + Umland (Ferrari, Bugatti, Maserati etc are all there), the unemployment is low the average income is quite high…. At least one of the Maintaining dealers in northern Bavaria would have been useful and not to close all of them completely…. Let’s see which region falls next in southern Germany I have the feeling you say goodbye again a little – in the car mile in Stuttgart the Lexus Forum is also quite small – even very exotic brands in the immediate vicinity are bigger…. a magnificent building as in Düsseldorf it doesn’t have to be – but when I see how medium and small Lexus-häuse r are suddenly gone, that’s not conducive to the brand…. Does anyone know if you want to concentrate on a few locations? or why do you suddenly leave whole regions unscathed….?

  • Lexus Problems in Japan

Although it is a somewhat old report and this topic has perhaps been discussed before, unfortunately the search did not reveal anything, which is why I would like to look for your opinions here: allegedly Lexus has sales problem in his own country, since there people who want to spend a lot of money on a new car prefer to buy a BMW or MB.http://www.businessweek.com/…/bw20060215_597701.htm Gruss Mark

  • IS-F technical data

Hi, I know, IS-F again, but better than sales-number discussions: for all those interested in technology, at Road and Track, one of the largest car magazines in the world (DIN A1), there is a great PDF file as an excerpt of a current test : the whole test with new videos: here are the excerpts of the test notes: Quote: ACCELERATION Completely disable VSC,select Sport Mode and slide the gear selector over to manual mode. Make sure you’re in 1st, preload the torque converter easily, floor the t hrottle and upshift when you hear the beep. Quote: BRAKING Good tires result in above-average brake performance for a luxury sedan. The grip attachments easy control and allows the ABS to work efficiently, although pedal feel is a bit numb. Overallbrake power is strong with zero fade. Quote: HANDLING Lightning-quick transient response and amazing grip earn the IS F the fastest 4-door slalom speed. Understeer is mild with predictable steering, and narrow gear spacing allows operation in the op timal rpm range at all times. US prices start at $58,000, planned are 3000 pieces/year in America Interestingly, I find that the IS-F reaches the top speed of 270km/h (controlled) already in the 6th gear. i.e. the 7th and 8th are really only already stages and are not needed on the track, therefore no additional switching…

  • Lexus IS-F – first tests

Hi, I have just seen the first English test reports from the IS-F, I like it extremely well. According to the first tests of Car and Driver, it is supposed to cover faster than the new M3, and also make a very good figure on the race track!http://www.caranddriver.com/…/tested-2008-lexus-is-f.html Lexus thinks, among the potential customers are e.g. older WRX Sti and EVO drivers here another report from Edmunds, with many beautiful pictures:http://www.edmunds.com/insiderl ine/do/Drives/FullTests/articleId=123125 pulls the video in! What I find a bit funny about the car are the exhaust blinds integrated in the rear aprons, whose shape and arrangement I find not bad, but that they are not connected to the exhaust system?
