  • Lexus IS XE2 purchase advice

Moin love motor-talk community, I am Azubi and need a new car. Until recently I drove an A3 8P1 2.0 Fsi, but I sold it again after about a year because it was just too problematic for me or to be honest I didn’t like it very much. I think I’m an extensive Lexus fan, (for me the most beautiful cars in the world). I absolutely lost myself into the Xe2 series XD. Now to my question, which of these models can I recommend I usually drive short distances and sometimes (about 1-2 times a week) long distances. And as I’ve heard, Lexus shouldn’t be in the workshop as often as the German competitors. Is that true? I have about 700€ as a budget, is that enough for a reasonable person? Look forward to the answers!

  • Lexus IS 250 Performance Increase

Hi Lexus friends, I’m not yet sure if I want to get a 325i or Lexus IS 250. But in any case hand-operated. In itself I like the Lexus better but it pulls me too little. Does anyone know a few useful (not thousands of Euros for 10ps ) tuning possibilities for the engine? LG Ps.: You can also say your opinion about the two models and which you would like to take

  • Purchase advice Lexus IS250

Dear Lexus experts and members of this forum, I came across the Lexus IS250 when looking for a used car up to approx. 650€. Short to the requirements: Since I live in Berlin and want to use the car for the daily journey to work (approx. 15 min., mainly motorway), a green badge is a must. Actually I am lazy and enjoy the advantages of an automatic, with a rather sporty designed car like the IS250 fits safely a switching gear unit auc h good. The car should not have run more than 100,000 km. What do you think of this offer:https://m.mobile.de/…/300856431.html?ref=srp Is the V6 generally recommended? What do you think about higher running performance (I plan to drive the car as a daily driver for at least three years, of course even more)? What else can I look forward to with the IS250? I look forward to your opinions and answers.

  • Personal consumption record IS 300h

On weekends I drove about 100km of road with little traffic. Speed was never faster than 100km/h. Outside temperature about 10°C, winter tyres with normal air pressure. The route has hardly any gradients or gradients, no urban traffic, only longer city passes. At the end stood on the consumption indicator 4.0 liters/100 km. I am aware that the optimal conditions were. I see the hybrid as a diesel set and meets the demand in every respect. Without charge, atkinson cycle and buffer battery as well as power branching, in my opinion, is fully up.

  • Lexus goes electric??.

On Friday Lexus Vice President Schrick made the following statement: Lexus has to postpone its sales targets in Germany with planned 10,000 registrations in 2010 to 2011 and 2012 respectively. Two important sports models will be introduced in the next two years. In March, the top version of the IS entry-level series IS-F with V 8 engine and 423 hp will be released. It will be positioned as a direct opponent to the new M 3. Its Vmax is 270 km/h. In 2009 the LF-A comes with 10 cyl. engine and > 500 PS. It is the sporting tip of the future model range. These individual niche models are intended to help the Lexus program to become more accepted. Lexus is still difficult, Schrick admitted. To achieve the target, Schrick announced another wave of investments in all areas. (Source: Automobilwoche online) If you look at the new registrations for the last three months, it can be a fear and a fear. ck. At 285500 total, this corresponds to a market share of 0.001190 %. In 2010, one wanted to achieve 0.3% (10,000) at approx. 3.3 million total market. I fear that this start-up (the 3rd investor strongly supported) will not again lead to the goal. The decisive reason IMO are non-market-compliant products.

  • Lexus Hybrid Differences in Europe-USA?

Even if the typical Lexus driver is not interested… Are there differences between American and European hybrid versions in engine/gear or other technical features?I noticed the following in various tests:European version: 0-100km/h: 6.6 – 6.9 seconds, tested: Lexus LS600h Tester: AMS, Autozeitung,… 0-100km/h: 5.9-6.5 seconds, tested: GS450h Tester: AMS, Autozeitung,…American version: 0-60mph (94km/h): 5.4 – 5.5 seconds, gete stands: Lexus LS600hL 0-60mph (94km/h): 5.5 seconds, tested: Lexus GS450h Tester (both): Car and Driver, Road and Track I know, mph != km/h , but the 6km/h from 94 to 100km/h should be over in the milli-second range rather than in the tenth-second range with a stepless transmission. Where do these (partly quite drastic) differences come from? Measurement tolerances? Vehicle differences? Test driver- Skill or not able?

  • Lexus GS Facelift, when to order?

Hi A few weeks ago actually the 2008 Lexus GS450h should be ordered by my dad. Since the Lexus dealer had still assured, since he is already ordered. When it was time, we had to make a retreat, because he is probably not yet available. Also the boss of the forum could not give out any information. Does one of you happen to know when the facelift is available? Is there anything on the net? Pre-orders seem not yet possible. a. And there’s a bit of a hurry too. I don’t know why, but I don’t know why. You need a new toy, this time for the 100% own needs Thanks already for the hints Greetings, Heron P.S. Does someone seem to have been working for a Lexus subforum after all….

  • Achieving the highest standards in IS 250

Hello Lexus-Gemeinde, I had the opportunity to test an IS 250 sport and an IS 220 D (long translation) a week ago. Both vehicles with manual circuit. What struck me in addition to all the positives was that with the diesel variant from 180 km/h I needed a little more start up to more than 200 km/h than with the petrol engine, but the self-ignitioner turned amber up to 230-240 km/h according to Tacho. The Is 250 is indicated at 230 km/h, but usually reached only 220 km/h, only on steep r BAB reached its stated peak, but held it then. The petrol engine had 3500 km, the diesel 8000 km. Did you notice this, or is the petrol engine even faster with increasing mileage? The air conditioning was switched off. The average consumption during my fast test drive was 8.4 ltr. Diesel and 12.3 ltr. Super. The diesel engine seemed to me at 200 km/h quieter than the petrol engine (probably at the speed level). Although the IS 250 sc The Lexus dealer also had a tuned IS diesel with 210 Ps, 470 nm on the yard, that would probably be the better diesel he meant, because of the high vehicle weight.
