Hello dear Toyota community! I play with the thought (when the banks play along) to get a Caria E of the last years of construction. On the one hand, because the car was years d a s reliable car, on the other hand, because I like the Carina E since ever very much (as liftback). The avensis of the first years of construction is (optically) not so my case… Can one still buy a well-kept car with good conscience? The car should still last its five to six years. I drive long distance (work journey every day 100 km back and forth) and almost only highway (motorway very rarely). Oh yes, and I’m not a (a gifted) hobby screwdriver! Oil change, air filter, spark plugs – of course, I can do that myself. But much more… I need the car to drive (as a family coach), not to screw… Therefore: please tell me your long-term experiences with the Carina – whether he is just as equipped as the Golf II, or rather a care case. Thank you! Oh yes, and what prices are realistic for a Carina Built 96-98?

Toyota Avensis t27 petrol tanker
Hello MT-ler in about 3 months is a car purchase with me. Since I have read more about the reliability of Toyota, I decided eigtl for the Avensis 1.8 gasoline with automatic starting from bj 2015. Driving profile about 15 tkm 70% of it city of the rest highway and country road. My questions, are the 147 ps sufficient to overtake on the highway sometimes jmd ? And is the petroler just as reliable as the diesel ? Dear Greetings JohnDoe_

Avensis with 150 or 177hp?
A friendly “hello to all … … the value added tax increases from 16% to 19% and this year you can save some taxes again (if you want to buy a new car anyway). So the question arises now: Avensis 2,2d with 150, or with 177hp. Who knows both models from driving? Does someone have the type key and the classification at the insurances ready? I would also have a diesel with 115hp if not the sixth gear would be missing (Somehow sad at Toyota – Most of the time/route (95%) I drive on the highway, so I would be interested in the long-distance driving feeling. Wouldn’t the D-CAT be better for the environment, although it means a small extra consumption? What do you think about it?

Heating in the Camry 3L V8
Hello you, despite many search results here in the forum on the topic of heating I found nothing about the normal runtime or reached temperature when using a heating. In my Camry 3Liter V6 I have Webasto ThermoTop C . Only unfortunately I am dissatisfied with the heating power. After a runtime of 30 min I have an indoor temperature increase of approx. 10°. Now at 0-5° outside temperature it is still possible. But at -15° to 0°C outside temperature I am then far from an In the beginning I had only 1° more than the outside temperature, then a constipation in the petrol supply was fixed. Nevertheless, the 10° -12° more than the outside temperature is too little for me. According to the dealer, the SH OK and works normally. I have heard from others that they already sweat at 30 minutes and the heating already heats after 10 minutes. Now to my question: is the stationary heating defective (must therefore more sheep fen) or is my engine just too big, so the system is too weak? Would I be happy about any information.

Avensis Verso: yellow engine warning lamp
Hello, for about 4 weeks the yellow warning light for the motor electronics has been shining at my Avensis Verso. The workshop (a Toyota workshop!) had the car already 4 full days there, and does not find the cause According to error diagnosis the error memory reports the error P0403 (or P0304 ???) – something with the injection. However, an exact component is not specified. Currently the offer has been made to me, on good luck times the control part, as well as the exhaust gas return valve? (material costs of 1,600 Euro ). I have now done some tests and come to the following results. 1. the lamp does not work at all at an outside temperature of less than 2°, even for distances of 100km not 2. at 5-10° outside temperature the lamp goes after approx. 3-5 km 3. from approx. 15° the lamp starts immediately at the start and the curious findings (which also the master cannot explain) 4. in reverse the lamp never goes on, even at 25° outside temperature 5. in the stand, full throttle until the speed barrier remains the lamp also from 6. I drive only with the clutch, completely without giving gas, the lamp also stays off, even if I only switch by grinding the clutch up to the 4th gear, and already have 30km/h on it. I then tap the accelerator pedal, and the car pulls on, the lamp is immediately there. According to Toyota workshop, mine is already the 3rd car, which shows this behavior. They have no A question at Toyota Deutschland (from the workshop) brought a list of possible parts, but they are all in order with my car (according to the research of the workshop) Does anyone have an idea what that could be? Slowly I find this really not funny anymore. Thanks for every tip

Does anyone have experience with injection nozzle cleaner sets at the Avensis diesel at 300Tkm ??
My Avensis D4D T22 (300Tkm) consumes a little more; engine has “hard” noise. I think it’s the injection nozzles. Has someone experience with injection nozzle cleaner sets. Can you do anything with it? Thank you for your tips. Manfred

Avensis deposed in 100,000 km continuous test car image 16.6.
Hello Toyota municipality, “Nothing is impossible:Also at Toyota. After 100,000 kilometres with the Avensis D-Cat, the Japanese reveals surprising weaknesses and leaves spots on the flower-white image vest.” Thus, the report (original quote) begins on the permanent test, which was published today in the car picture. Although it did not remain, it had some significant defects, such as clutch, D-Cat, damage to a gear shaft, etc. Moreover, unanticipated defects clouded the picture: e and persevered seats, strongly decreasing body stiffness, corrosion and edge rust etc. It ends in the conclusion: “….A good reputation is laboriously worked out and very quickly playfully again. The nearly 1 million recalls of last year show that TOYOTA only cooks with water.” Pers.Note: With regard to the expectation attitude that I also have at Toyota, the result is quite disillusioning. Greetings Kühli PS: For copyright reasons I can’t get the whole article first Maybe it is already set on the Autobild homepage. Otherwise 1,30 € at the kiosk.
