hi, I would like to renew the brake and clutch fluid at my T22 from DOT3 to DOT4, how do you do the best ? old liquid Kpl. drain and then replenish, then comes however air into the system, or always pump and tilt until the liquid Kpl. is renewed ?!

Avensis Kombi D4-D
Hello, I am currently driving a Volvo V40 1.8 petrol. The car has 150000kilometers and I have to travel because of the profession in the future about 30-35,000 Kilmoeter. That’s why I thought it was a diesel. I now have an offer about an Avensis diesel with 85KW. The car has already 81000km but is in a very good condition. The timing belt is still made and equipment he has e.g. electrically foldable mirrors, air conditioning, radio CD, on-board computer. Year of construction 2004 (new model) The whole for 15000.- Now I would be interested in what you think of the offer as professionals and what you say about the mileage? When I looked at the car today, an average consumption of 7.8 liters was on the on-board computer ! That already occurred to me a bit high or is this normal with the vehicle? Thank you already in advance. MfG Thorsten

Clutch slips? Very strange…
At some point something has to come, with our T25 Bj03, 328tkm slips, if it is still quite cold and you give hard gas (do not otherwise I otherwise but did not have to go quickly) the clutch briefly through from 2000 touring, fast up to 2400 and remains there to speed adjusted. After that nothing slips anymore. It is also gone when it is warm. Today I kicked brutally at 100 in the 5th clutch, gave full gas and remained fully on it, and at approx. 4000 recoupled, grabs without problem E, slip if warm is not reproducible. End of the clutch? Coupling has been very difficult to kick for 4.5 years, the pressure bearing is hanging off? So my further question, how high is the chance that the swing is also at the end? Coupling invests yes, with momentum and so on is slowly going into areas where I would think about what to do..At least go on until it becomes impervable. Can of course also 100tkm continue like this π Vl you have an idea….

Avensis T27 – Diseases, weaknesses?
HI, I’m going to change soon (at the end of next week probably) after a long 9 years most likely from Opel to Toyota Forum, as I have to buy an Avensis 1.8 Sol… EZ 04/2010 (T27?), 147 hp, 3000 km running, automatic CVT transmission, and and and… Sol equipment just. I don’t see through that yet. Now I want to know if someone here has already had some nice experiences despite the relatively short construction time of this model, good as bad and an opinion on the Car has. I noticed that the gearbox partly has a rather strange speed management… when rolling 1200 tours, when braking suddenly 2000, sometimes the speed depends despite slowly falling speed and then falls aprupt off… is this normal with this gearbox? Have my life been driving only switches, rarely automatic… Or is there somewhere already a link to the topic that I could not find through the search? Greeting packer

Scratching or spraying?
Hello. Today I need some swarm knowledge or your experience on the topic of “freeze the ice” I don’t like to scratch around my slices to remove ice. At the beginning of winter I buy a few spray bottles with disc teaser and then use them as well. The ice scraper is only used in extreme situations. Today I have picked up the following statement: “WHEN YOU SPEAK OUT OF SPEAKING IN THE INNER AREA!” For me, this A ussage totally illogical and not to understand. However, it is indeed opposite that the windows are fogged inside. But whether that comes from spraying? What does the common sense mean? Thank you for your opinions. Greetings from the resin, Karsten

Toyota Avensis with Multidrive S transmission
Hello, since I have driven several Toyota Carina or Avensis with 5 or 6 gears for more than 10 years, I am interested in how the Multidrive S gearbox is assessed by you in the practical application. A test drive at the dealer gives a first impression, but this does not necessarily have to be confirmed in the later practice. Therefore, I would be very interested to hear your experiences positive as well as negative here. MfG GPK

Error code P0155 Lambdaprone heater Avensis 2.0 VVT-I 16V
Hello Toyota friends, after reading & deleting the error P0155, defective Lambda probe heater probe 1 (sensor 1) of Lambda probe of the 2nd cylinder group (bank 2) of my Toyota Avensis 2.0 VVT-I 16 V, 150 hp again lit the yellow engine control lamp the next day. Since then I have been driving for 8 months without deleting the lamp and without increased fuel consumption. As soon the AU is on, I fear still too high values with refusal of the AU plaque. Is there any cheaper probes for my Toyota at BOSCH or elsewhere and how about the exact name (connection right/left, serial number, etc.)? Thanks for every hint. MfG Hechti.

Toyota Avensis 2.2 D4-D (110KW/150hp) – all of a sudden I turned out to have a new shortblock
Hello, was in the workshop today and had an air conditioning inspection/maintenance carried out, because the cooling performance seemed somehow “sufficient” to me; however, everything ok and good. What did not come so well with me was the following …… – after I had already described the problem of the oil consumption of < 2 liters 5W-30 original. Toyota Premium oil at approx. 8,000 km mileage, was determined by the workshop, which the front cover seal might be a bit leaky as well as the oil tank seal! In today's conversation I was told only by the side that the car had got a new short block at ca. 70 tkm on Kulanz, because oil consumption at that time > 1.5 liters on 1000 km. That was probably due to damaged oil stripping rings at that time, Toyota should have handled at that time without if and but on Kulanz/Guarantee the whole thing! Well, what should I write now…. – I am badly divided! Why!? Well… – now I drive the tank seal! Toyota Avensis Combi 2.2 D4-D approx. 8000km and I’m satisfied after the reason, however already a lot on warranty/coldness (without cost for me !) was made, e.g. clutch/two-mass swing wheel, the front cover seal at the next inspection (for that the engine comes out!), the oil tank seal comes new at the next inspection, the brake calipers on both sides and then came new before about 50 tkm of the “short block” ! I bought the Toyota because I have a reliable and safe Au to have sufficient space in the interior, well motorized and more or less economical! Now I have my concerns about reliability here and there (so far I didn’t have to pay anything, I would have had to pay ‘what – with all the things that have already come new, that would probably be bad my first and last Toyota!). In my opinion the Avensis drives with the 2.2 liter – diesel top, on the highway with 140 to 160 km/h a poem, m it the six-speed transmission is also relatively quiet, the car is spacious and safe and I like it otherwise! How would you rate or interpret that!? It may be that other manufacturers also have your problems and then often also act far more unculant – I find, however, that it leaves a stain on the “white vest” of the Toyota brand – I personally connect Toyota with reliability and value – even now !!!! π So… no ts for bad…. – in a few days I’m already over it again! π *laughs* By the way…. – because of the economy of the Toyota Avensis 2.2 D4-D – Diesel (110KW/150hp) – I can hardly make it under 6.5 liters/100 km; pendel between 6.5 to 7.5 liters Diesel / 100km – for me still acceptable, the car is now also no “fly weight”, below 7 liters I personally would like better, but the engine is probably not to have too much engine capacity ! MfG Poldi76 P.s.: . ….. – Good driving all the time !
