Unfortunately, the rubber dissolves on my car key. I then ordered an original replacement housing from Denso, the electronics are transplanted and the key is sanded (unfortunately, the key itself is tightly welded to the housing). BUT: I can open the car now and when I turn the key, I hear the starter too. However, there seems to be a secret chip in there somewhere (in addition to the remote control unit), which is responsible for the immobilizer. How can I have this unlocked?

Hello, I’ve been riding a rav4 since the beginning of the year and hardly ever heard any noise in my possession. It started with the driver’s belt, which caused a shimmering noise while driving. Then another one came along, namely a swarming while driving and braking. After 3000km the brakes started to squeak. After a week in the workshop I was told that this is so (constrctional lack) and no repair is possible. Annoying!!! For the sake of interest I would have would like to know if anyone else perceives these sounds?! Lg tanja

Have had a RAV4 BJ 2010 with the Navi TNS510 for a few days. Yesterday, after starting the Navi screen, the security note stopped and “show map” could not be selected. Since then, no navigation functions are to be selected or stored. The radio and the telephone function (Bluetooth connection) work perfectly. When querying the SD card the version (10-11 1. WEST) is displayed and also the corresponding area. I have the map lt. Besch I can enter my location or choose a destination but as soon as I press “ok” or “start” nothing happens and no card is displayed. Maybe someone knows this problem and a solution? Have already thought about buying an update but am not sure if it will work. Thanks for your support

I have been having problems with the Toyota Rav 4 for quite some time, because it was sounding, which I initially suspected as a noise of a defective exhaust but did not materialize. To the info: There is no noise in the stand, but when driving off these sounds start. From about 2500 rpm these sounds slowly stop again. I myself tap on a defective clutch. Hello, when choosing the RAV4 I thought back and forth between other models: – VW Tiguan (too expensive in view of the fact that a new model is in the starting holes) – Audi Q3 (even more expensive, but smaller and tighter) – Toyota Landcruiser (too sluggish in driving behaviour, consumption too high) – Mitsubishi Pajero (I would have had to take the 2-door, seats too bad, model has not been further developed since 7 years) – Land Rover Discovery Sport (not yet available) gbar) So I decided for the RAV4 (XA4) and am thrilled: + consumption by 7.0 l. as switch/all wheel + with 17″ tyres pleasantly springed + runs very quiet and quiet + navigation/radio/telephone connection super + with the 150 hp diesel machine sufficiently fast. Here I actually had the most concerns. + not heavy + good seating position smaller disadvantages: – seats could be longer in the seat and better in the back. But are better than in the Mitsubishi Pajero. – Exhaust hangs out clearly under the car floor and is likely to cause problems in the field in the future – plastic stews, which I did not know in the form of other new cars so far – tank filler nozzles on the wrong side (driver side), where I have to wait and see if this does not turn out to be positive after acclimatization. – Return camera could have been saved at Toyota, because permanently dirty so much that you don’t have anything back si eht. Returning after cleaned camera also does not work with me, although I drive truck’s with trailer back to mirror without any problems. On occasion follows continuation. Greetings

Moin Wissende, we may want to buy a used RAV4. The vehicle is needed as a pure city (transport) and winter car. These vehicles have mostly exceeded the 100 tkm. What is it about the durability of these vehicles ordered ? Is rust a topic ? Are there problems with the chassis ? What does it look like with the engine and auxiliary units (e.g. timing belts) ? Does this double valve control trouble ? and last but not least, as a pure city vehicle is an automatic drive e a MUST. Does this have any abnormalities (e.g. if used as a towing vehicle) ? Hello, I would need your help in terms of rims, tyres and RDKS. This is a Toyota RAV4 4WD 2.2 D-4D, BJ2013, XA3(a). I have read a lot about it in the last few days but I’m still unreliable. Partly because many posts refer to older RAVs and I don’t know how this is transferable to my RAV, partly because some posts are also contradictory. Specifically, I have the following questions: 1. May I legally consider the RDKS Would this deactivate somehow on other systems, such as ABS or ESP? I have a friend with a BMW X3 who told me that because of a wheel with too low tyre pressure, the ABS has adjusted to it and the car has spun completely (back-like driving behaviour etc.) 3. May I use only certain tyres or wheels in my car, because for example such systems as RDKS 4. At the moment I have original Toyota Summer Wheels (Alu) with direct RDKS. What do I have to consider if I change the position of the wheels (by rotation principle)? Do I then have to re-initialize the individual RDKS sensors? 5. Can I clone my current RDKS sensors from the summer wheels to new sensors from Alligator and build them into new winter bikes? Which workshops/workshop chains do something like this? 6. Hello to each other! Have been having a problem for 3 months with the electric rear flap opening of my rav4 year 2014. During the opening process the rear flap simply stopped. Since then the opening confirmation gives only a continuous tone from the after 10 seconds again silent, whether I open with the remote control or from the vehicle. Opening mechanism of the door lock works even only when directly opening the rear flap. I’ve already looked up the fuses and tracked the complete electronics where the error might lie. Repair by the dealer should cost up to 3000 euros. Has of you perhaps an idea where the error could lie. Thanks in advance for answers.
