Servus, I don’t really know about Toyota. Have a country cruiser there from an acquaintance, BJ: about 1990. Engine 2.8 diesel with probably a Denso distributor injection pump. The pump loses diesel – see video with the endoscope:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAlvlw0WKyg Is there a repair without the expansion of ESP possible?

Day-time running light
Hello, has anyone ever retrofitted day running lights with the RAV 4 (CA 30 W, 3rd generation) or dimmed driving lights or fog lights as day running lights? On my X3 I could encode this with Carly for BMW. Is that possible with the RAV 4?

Clever Protect Plus in RAV4
I had the additional anti-theft protection installed. Is properly subsidized by the Toyota insurance. So now the RAV should be well secured despite Keyless. The whole (almost) without loss of comfort. Nice additional function is e.g. that I can have the location sent by the vehicle at any time via sms. Negatively I found out the following: Only at the very end, when you have bought, the box is installed and you get the locked envelope, open it and di e User manual, you will find out the following: “This phone card including data service you have purchased with the purchase price for 36 months.” If the car is stolen in the 37th month and parked in Eastern Europe, I will not get the location sent. I hope the Toyota insurance can also come up with a clever and attractive solution for Clever protect for the time after 36 months.

RAV 4 XA 5 Hybrid All-wheel – High-voltage cable to rear axle
Moin, this post is rather not a question, but an information, because there can and will be more affected ones. Yesterday my official car at km-stand 95200 surprised me with a clear error message “Disruption hybrid system, merchants look up”. He managed to get home still, restarting was then no longer possible, probably as protection. The next Toyota workshop near me knew immediately and suspects a well-known serial error on the XA5, namely a corrodi I was not familiar with the subject until now, but it is a major problem that has caused major waves, especially in Canada, as it occurs earlier due to the weather and affects more vehicles. This morning the car was picked up and I received a rental car for the business trips of the coming days. As it is a serial damage and in Canada already a “class action” was prepared, Toyota has extended the warranty to this component to 8 years. So my repair will be free. The lady at the customer reception called this this morning as Good Will / Kulanz. Anyway. I am curious how long it takes. Fortunately, the unproblematic towing of the car by means of ADAC, which took care of me once again despite my residence in Sweden. If there is anything new, I write to mfG SpyderRyder

Rear speaker
Hello I have the 24 CHR with the JBL system. Tonically it works so reasonably. Only in the doors at the back it is as if there is nothing in it. If I fade back even my mobile phone is louder. I lack a bit of the “roominess” Besides, bass from the subwoofer is rather weak. Question: Has someone already replaced the speakers with others? Do I need a separate amplifier for it then? Merry Christmas Dietmarr

Pulling high fuel consumption by caravan
Hello in the round. I have a RAV 4, XA 4, 2.5L hybrids. My fuel consumption was in the past about 8.5 to 9.0 L. I drove with it always about 550 KM. Now I bought a caravan (1500Kg zGG) in October 2024 and drove with it 1 week. With caravan I have a consumption of about 11.0 L, which is because of the size when pulling is also quite normal. I therefore also manage since the only approx. 450 KM driving distance. I am since then not again with the W I had also hoped that the consumption will level up again. That has not happened so far. What can this be? I am not a racer and drive mainly in urban traffic. The fact that a control unit in the vehicle naturally adjusts to the driving mode of the driver and on the pulling of the caravan also makes sense to me. However, I have not found a solution to this so far that the consumption goes down again. Greeting kamero65

RAV4 Fun
Hello I’m new here at RAV 4. Currently I drive a Mondeo which I like very much. Only in winter I would like to have something different and I shot myself on a RAV4. Unfortunately I have no idea about the model. More precisely, it is about this RAV4 FUN with BJ 09.1996 and 238tkm gasoline 128 horses. We don’t need to talk about the consumption, which is higher than with the Mondeo. I need it for the morning drive from home to the station, easy route 12km. As I said, I have no idea about RAV4 and therefore have a few questions, maybe you can help me: when is the RAV 4 of the timing belts always due? At what places is rust very often formed? Which vehicle components are vulnerable/where should you pay particular attention to them? is worth a gasoline truck with a mileage beyond 200tkm? Can anyone call HSN and TSN for this vehicle? Can you give me any other tips?

Return camera does not work, after radio change from factory radio to Kennwood
Good day together, I have the following vehicle Toyota RAV4 built in 2010 and have bought me the above radio. The connection was made up to the rear camera impeccable. The rear camera cannot be activated because I have no idea how to get the connection and am already very desperate. Old radio of Toyota CQ-HT3870AJ (picture1) This plug (picture 2) seems to be for the camera. if I plug the into the old radio the picture appears on the radio. Kenwood DMX7017DABS back eite (picture3) Now my questions: I cut off the plug and only have the cables red/black/Lila/green. From the radio a reverse cable in color purple starts what should be connected to the car, I take the purple cable from the plug? Which cables have to be connected to the cinch plug? Is there an adapter or how do I create a cinch plug from a cable? Thank you for the help. Greetings and still a nice day Chefadju

Why is the current RAV4 2.0 not available?
The title says everything. I’m looking for a new mobile kit. I like the RAV4, blows up the budget a bit. That’s why I’m looking for day registrations or EU imports with the 2.0 petrol with lean equipment. What’s the vehicle like? I’ll be looking for a dealer soon. Alternatively, I could also imagine a Hyundai Tucson or Kia Sportage. They’re cheaper, but also smaller, maybe enough. Thanks!

Purchase advice Land Cruiser or something similar stable.
Hello together, I play with the idea of buying a country cruiser or something similar and hope that someone here can give me a few tips. My current car has run 430,000 km and is not a Toyota. So I have to be friends with the idea of buying another one. Since cars are designed for impassable terrain more stable, I think that they should be very durable in normal use on the road if appropriate care and maintenance are required. also that the car is a classic car in 10 years and I can run it with my other vehicles under one number (registration in CH). So I looked at the Land Cruiser and found the model Land Cruiser 500 4.2l Diesel (year 2000). The engine has enough power, it is a diesel, it is robust and can also make experience well over 200,000 km. Basically everything fits. But for my purposes the Land Cruiser is a little too big and heavy. But on the and hen side is an E class (W211) combo also not much shorter. I would like to hear your opinion about the car. I already have a short wheelbase and a Landi is not so my world. Is there an alternative to the Land Cruiser?
