  • Auris Hybrid driver in the forum?

    Hello Toyota municipality. I ordered an Auris hybrid that I will get next month. What I miss in the forum are other Auris hybrid drivers. Are there so few of them, or do they have no problems with the car? I drove the car test, and I like it very much. I did not find an affordable alternative to the drive concept, therefore the Auris. I think that the Auris for my driving profile (short distance, city traffic, highway, hardly any highway) is not the worst choice. However, most tests in the usual car magazines are not quite positive. I have a bit of doubt, therefore, if I have made the right choice.   • Experiences on white applications in Prius 4 injection, foiling or other ideas sought

    Dear Priusgemeinde, wear me with the thought of buying a Prius 4 new car. Can’t, however, absolutely befriend me with the white applications (medium storage console, area around the switch button and switch band on the steering wheel) in the interior.     Dear Toyota, please tell me when you finally offer a hybrid combination with trailer coupling. You have very nice hybrids in the (Japanese) program, especially the Prius, which I have been allowed to drive for 3 years and which fascinates me over and over again. Nevertheless, I will have to separate myself from it, since it becomes too small for my family and you can’t pull a hanger. That’s why I’ve been waiting a long time for a Avensis Hybrid or an Estima, which is only available in Japan, or a Camry Hybrid, which unfortunately only exists as a dusky soda, or from me a Lexus Hybrid, but that doesn’t exist as a combo. And a RX Hybrid as an alternative? Well, who needs to drive around with a elephant. I don’t. So and now tell me something great, otherwise I have to end our beautiful relationship.

  • What are the advantages of the electric part in the Hyprid?

    My basic question is: What does the electric part really bring in the prius? If this question has already been dealt with in detail, I ask for the corresponding thread. My thoughts: The e-drive can only bring something in the city, since it is very often braked there and can therefore be recycled. However, since the battery is very thick, it should be used for longer periods of time. On the highway I think the e-part should be a real one because of the weight. I could imagine from the so-called, that the prius without the e-part under certain circumstances would have to be even more economical than with the e-installation. I just can’t get rid of the feeling that this “futzi and chucky” battery capacity vo n only 1500 m distance is only cosmetic. Ask for an emotion-free and objective discussion. lg

  • Warranty Hybrid components Prius III

    Hello Prius Fans I’m very interested in the new PIII. But I’m a bit scared off now. The new warranty services in Switzerland for the hybrid components are only 100’000km or 5years, with the PII that was 160’000km and 8 years. That’s almost a third less warranty time. What do you think? Was this shortened because the used components are mature, which I can not imagine, or after 5years there were some problems with the PII with which T oyota can then earn more money in the future? Drive about 10km into work and back every day.   • Prius Hybrid battery defective

    3 years ago I bought a Prius vintage 2000 with 60000 km. 3 years later, cell 13 of 19 of the hybrid battery gave up the spirit. Of course, the 8-year warranty, which Toyota gives on the battery, expired. The car mechanic thinks that one must either buy a new battery, about 4000 SFr., or install a battery of an accident car. Admittedly, I now have doubts about the hybrid technology. Should the life of the battery be around 10 years Is this a fundamental problem with Prius?
