A perhaps somewhat curious observation: I switched my 2024 Yaris to summer time on Sunday in the menu. Since then, the EV share (automatically by system, not manually by EV button) has gone up noticeably. The last months, even during the high temperatures a few weeks ago, the EV share according to the display was at most by 50%, now after the conversion at once again at 80%. The consumption according to on-board computer declined from just under 4 liters to 3.4 liters. And no, that’s NOT April’s joke. If that’s not a big coincidence that the system on the same routes and at unchanged temperatures at once changes the EV share significantly upwards due to any changed factors that I didn’t recognize, it can actually only be due to the switch to summer time. However, that would be an almost curious thing in fact. Should the system actually be aware during the summer time m I was also surprised that despite 20° in March, the car often ran the burner, while last autumn the EV share was so high in the same circumstances.

Force Yaris Hybrid Electric Mode
Hello together, is there the possibility to force the electric mode (in the 2019er)? The duck on the E-mode button generates the message that the speed is too high or the E-mode is not available right now…. Background: I’m driving on a flat track and know that a slope distance is coming soon. In order to discharge the battery before the gradient as far as possible, it would be useful to drive on the level electric. Otherwise, the battery is already on the half distance with gradients v Oll charged and I “heat” energy. It would be nice if someone could give a tip, because Toyota is more likely to sell a new car. The existing customers stay on the track !!! Service- Kindness looks different to me!

Apple Car Play
Hello together, I have the weird effect, as soon as I connect Apple Car Play, I can no longer make calls via the voice command. There always comes the message, I should connect a device to the car. But I choose via mobile phone it is transmitted normally via the speakers of the car. If I delete the device and reconnect again, Apple Car Play does not connect, it works again. Does anyone have an idea or a solution? Thank you. Greetings Miro

Electric, handbrake
Hello together An electr. handbrake is quite ok, but for the washing system very problematic! Was now the first time there and switched on of course on “N” (also briefly switched off but then immediately on the handbrake, which is why I immediately switched on again) Then the theater went off properly – everything beeped and flashed and the message “Avoid circuit N because of discharge of the hybrid battery” appeared! Does anyone know how to do that? Can you turn off the engine and still release the handbrake ?

Aygo X Explorer seats
Hello your loved ones. So I am also very satisfied with my Aygo X Explorer. Especially with the equipment, the engine and the reliability. However, I have to say that the seats are already an impression for me and the passenger. After I have to take my grandfather with me more often and he already sits with a seat cushion and a ceiling raised are all longer rides a heavy load. Also my back and my legs cut off very badly with a height of approx 1.78 cm. D he seat is already in high position and set to the rear. I can’t adjust the passenger seat at all and according to Toyota you can’t replace both other seats either. Therefore, I am already thinking about selling the car again after just under 4000 km. Are there really no other possibilities? Seat cushions of various manufacturers have not helped either.

Underbody rust protection
Moin, what are your experiences with Yaris XP9 underbody rust protection after a few years? Mine has light rust approaches on the cutting edges of the sheets, screws, etc. and no large-scale rust protection, only in selected places. Is this critical for the future? Did you have rust protection applied or applied yourself? studex

Windscreen wiper – Bosch Aerotwin A or AR 650S?
Moin, the day after tomorrow is the meteorological autumn beginning and the muddy weather is already in the starting holes. does anyone know an even cheaper source for the front wiper Bosch Aerotwin AR650S or A650S? I wanted to strike first in the electronic bay and at the Amazon for approx. € 18.20 (incl. shipping costs). I then tried some price search machines, whether it is still cheaper and was surprised. From € 6,67 incl. shipping it starts. The Bosch product “A” not “AR” is also available for € 9.00. Funny! We already have Aerotwins from Bosch on the 107 and Aygo. But I want to be sure again. According to Bosch-Page, AR 650S is the retrofit kit. There seems to be this quick adapter with it according to the picture. A 650S is according to the description for vehicles that are already equipped with these in the original equipment. Do they not have a quick adapter? Do I have to pop the adapter at the old wiper first and pick up the new one? s: Is the A-series just the wiper rubber? ciao Metallics

Red Aygo clear-lacquer damage!
Hello everyone at our red Aygo (BJ 9/’06) about a year ago the clear varnish on the front apron threw bubbles and burst off. At Toyota we were told that the stone strokes were. They destroy the lacquer layer, water penetrates in and the varnish bursts off. But we did not want to be satisfied with this, because stone strokes are good and beautiful (in every car), but they destroy not only the clear varnish layer (base varnish is ok) and above all not in (in the meantime) cake plategr after research on the Internet (the damage is probably heaped up) we put pressure on Toyota and they admitted that this is happening with the red Aygos. Reason was that red is simply a bad paint to paint. With the offer of an apron of a white Aygo (which we should have painted ourselves) the thing was done for Toyota. But we did not want to (always) content ourselves with it yet and made further pressure (cann’t be that Toyota is badly painted and we can’t do that with other red cars!). Our car dealership then contacted Brussels (although the seat of a place that can make such decisions), but from there all actions on the part of Toyota were rejected, no culant… This is the last contact with Toyota for the time being. But it gets worse and worse (Figure 1, 2) and now the same fun starts at the rear apron (Picture 3) and at the painted exterior mirrors. In addition, there are places where the clear layer is completely intact and “only” replaces (Fig. 5) We are quite acidic and will probably never be able to buy from Toyota or recommend it!! The “rest” of the car is in a top condition, has aluminium rims, a standing heater, is maintained. Actually we wanted to sell it soon, just not that! And somehow it’s also about the principle! My question(s) now:- Did you have similar He experiences? – What did Toyota do (or not)? – Do you still have an idea what we can do? – I have gelsene that Toyota only clearly foils (i.e. the clear varnish layer is not, but only a foil). That this then quickly dissolves with bad underground adhesion is logical. Is that true? Thank you very much!

What do you think of Yaris?
Hello, we are looking for a new car for my girlfriend and have come across a Toyota Yaris. Now my questions to you. What do you think of the Yaris, do you have one and since you are satisfied? Are there any bugs in which they often occur? and what do you think of the offer, Toyota Yaris, 69hp, EZ: 09/2008, 10000Km and costs 650€? Do you think there could be a hacking because the car is still as good as new according to the mileage. Oh and how does it look at the Yari with the customer service, I only know from my Audi every 30000km or 2 years, how is that with the Yaris? And can you tell me something about the insurance and tax, is it quite expensive in the maintenance? Insurance percentages are at 45%. Thanks in advance.

Yaris P1, clutch squeaking
Hello, with our Yaris the clutch squeaks while stepping temporarily. Only during the pedal movement, so no bearing or something like that. Have already found out that it is the taker cylinder in the engine compartment, you notice the vibration when touching. Now there is a covered opening on it. What comes in there, lubricant for the cylinder or is the opening for the venting after brake fluid change? Already someone heard of this problem and possibly a solution in stock?
