  • What to consider when buying Yaris?

Hello together, we were today in the toyota car house of our trust and have looked a little around us, because our starlet bj 96 with meanwhile 170tkms is to be replaced by a yaris (old model). There were already some that we liked only now the questions: – What should one absolutely pay attention to when buying used goods (certain year of construction possible calls, wear parts which have to be renewed with certain km number etc.) -What about the equipment variants Sol etc.? – IS the yaris to be recommended at all or would you rather say “ne dearer en other model”? -When did the facelift and what changes have brought about this? -What prices are “normal”? Would I be very pleased about your help

  • Yarissol torments transmission from Yaris TS 🙁

Hello everybody! Something very stupid happened to me this morning: I sleep nicely at a traffic light in front of me, until the backman by horns makes me aware of the green phase. Then I wanted to start of course quickly, and did not push the gear lever completely into the alley. Through the search for approach, the gang flew out with a loud noise. So before speculations arise: I was to blame – if you push in the gear properly he also does not fly out. my question: I’m afraid that something might have broken. How high is the danger, what can happen? Greeting Christian

  • Toyota Yaris TS good or not good

I’m with dealer the Yaris 1.3 because they didn’t have TS at the start. My question to you can be recommended the TS or rather not. Is the repratur vulnerable as are insurance and tax and so on I’m happy about any serious announcement. MfG from Hannover.

  • P8 Getting hot

Hello P8 municipality Have a problem. My Starlet P8 gets hot on the highway at a permanent speed of 130 km/h. (according to GPS). If I drive less than the 130 everything is fine. Also I have no problems in traffic jams or in city traffic. If I then let roll again at 110k/h the temperature indicator is again in the middle. Has anyone ever had such a problem? It is a Toyota Starlet 1.3 SI ,EZ . 1991, 3 Door, 2E-E engine, The cooling system is There are no other leaks either. Since I can’t drive so fast permanently in Switzerland, I noticed this only when I was on my way back from the holidays through France. What can that be? I thank you for your answers. Many greetings.

  • Aygo Gasoline vs Yaris Diesel

Hi am thinking of leaving my Yaris D4D old model, and getting me an Aygo because of the high fuel prices. I don’t see any sense of driving the diesel further because it’s everywhere tarier like a gasoline from the tax, insurance, inspection, partly at the tank, maybe even the spare parts. Is it worth changing from diesel to petroler? My driving performance is so about 40000km a year. Would therefore like to take the Aygo because the consumption is about the same mi t the Yaris Diesel ,and just insurance , tax and so on is cheaper. Would get along with the smaller car also because the Yaris I have hardly ever used properly. Would the pay off ?? Greeting froggi

  • Connect Yaris I MP3 Player to Radio

Hello together! I have installed the original cassette radio from Toyota in my Yaris I and now want to connect an MP3 player to this device. In the way that it exists in some vehicles for the IPod. I had always used an adapter cassette, which now does not work properly and the quality was also rather modest. I don’t want to install a new or other radio, because I just don’t like it, as it usually looks like, if you use the Origin I want to put a kind of bypass on the radio, which makes it possible for me to feed the audio signal, which is delivered via the 3.5 mm jack plug from the MP3 player. I will expand the radio subpart tomorrow when I find time and see if I can see how this can be technically implemented. If jmd has an idea or experience about it, so I’m grateful for any help. That’s possible, I’m very grateful. It’s technically nothing more than this radio, a kind of multiple plug in the direction of the speakers and then this radio re-installed AND another one, which already has this MP3 connection, to connect with and then hide. That’s the complicated description. I assume now that I don’t need a second device, because I just want to feed another signal. Similar to a hands-free system or a CB Funkg guessed (formerly common), which also emit their sound signals via the loudspeakers. I could also imagine to convert a hands-free system accordingly, however, I assume that it would have to be easier. Btw: Yesterday I installed a bigger horn. The little one now, of course legal, rhinestones in the size and volume of a Mercedes E-Class….hehe… look forward to my trip to Ulm on Thursday. I think there will be some opportunities (such as the) in which I have to stand up honking…. Greetings from the Saar

  • petrol save on starlet

Hi me would just fill in the following: if it is relatively downhill it is worth it to let the sprite consumption roll it doesn’t matter? Because I sometimes have the feeling through the motor brake to save a few drops. Since I don’t have much technical idea I’m curious about your opinion lg

  • Chiptuning at Yaris II Diesel??

Hello dear Toyota municipality! Do you think Chiptuning makes sense with the Yaris II D4D? I have the following offer from bhp motorsport (Weilheim near Stuttgart): Series: 90 hp, 190 Nm, 175 Vmax, 0-100 = 10.7 sec Chipgetunt: 111 hp, 222 Nm, 180 Vmax, 0-100 = ? Costs (incl. VAT): Chiptuning (Knnfeldoptimierung durch Auslöten, da über OBD probably nicht möglich) = 489 EUR, TÜV-Guarantee = 199 EUR Warranty (over tunegarant) for 2 years or max. 100.000 km Total running power = 250 EUR === ====938 EUR total. First registration 3.11.06, annual driving performance approx. 40,000 km, of which approx. 90-95% motorway. Current mileage = 11,000 km. What experiences do you have with Chiptuning? In the event of damage, I can actually rely on the replacement insurance (here: tunegarant)? AND: The car is financed and I have to/should/should return it after the contract period (= 4 years = approx. 160,000 km) at the latest. So, what do you think: prefer the fingers davo I’m very grateful for your suggestions and advice. Tschau Chris

  • Piped exterior mirrors

Hello, do you have that too? A loud whistle, triggered by the left outside mirror. Start with me at approx. 120km/h and then become continuously louder. If you close the mirror or change the wind current with your hand, then the noise is gone. Can you do something against it? Thank you!

  • Toyota Yaris bought last year in March – New car question for inspection/guarantee+gas pedal

Hello, I bought an EU vehicle Yaris 1.3 in March 2009 and wanted to ask about the warranty+inspection. 1)When do I have to register with a Toyota dealer for the inspection before? 2)Did all have a unit price or can they sell me the inspection expensive, because they think for example “yes, now this type with a EU vehicle comes, did not buy it from us, but we should now do inspection – we make it expensive…” 3)How many days can I be over the time, So over the year, so my warranty still remains ?? 4) Should I call several Toyota dealers and ask about the price ? 5)Do I have to worry about the accelerator pedal ? What do you need from my vehicle license to see if my car is affected ? (don’t know me well with cars) Thank you for the information !
