  • W123 Kombi Buy Tips

Hi to the community, I would like to buy an E-Class W123 T-model and need your help here. I’m still new to the topic and don’t know what to look for when looking for the right car. I want to drive the car in everyday life. I’m not a screwdriver myself and therefore I’m looking for a combo in good condition. In the usual forums I find everything possible from 5,000-25,000. At first glance the differences are not big. If you had tips for me what to look for so ll? Had this in mind, as it looked of mileage, condition neat. https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/…/2926941677-216-9718?… Thank you for your support in the search for the dream car

  • Help insert tachometer (diesel/ 616/ 4 yl.)

I am looking for a suitable cable for my conversion. Car: W123 240D Jg.1983 Engine number 616… Delivery without tachometer, only watch As much as I can, I have the correct thrashing meter (diesel/ 6000) and also the diagnostic connector with holder and the cable for OT to the diagonal connector. My tachometer is a 2-pin/pole, but according to the instructions I have, I need the 2-pin with more cable ends like only 2. Can someone tell me where to buy the correct cable or how to buy it? I am grateful for any constructive tips I also have questions about the manual, how do I have to understand the connection to the cable after the fuse no.12, I have to solve the main safety box and screw the cable from the bottom to no.12? Thank you for your help.

Hello, Can anyone give me the parts numbers of the front fenders of the W123? How much do they cost at Mercedes, and do they fit well? Not like the replica garbage? Is there somewhere stainless used? Greeting Jan

  • 250S W108 Decommissioned for 12 years, what to do?

A friendly Moin Moin from Hamburg As a result, the thing is there: The car has been logged out for 12 years, was standing 6 years in a rather damp garage which has pretty much added to him, and then another 6 years in a dry garage.. The question is now what should we do with the car? So, directly sell as it stands now, completely restore so that it is almost original where the question is with how much € you can expect or restore there but then with deeper laying and 18″ in the direction (you will certainly hate me for it) Would I look forward to numerous answers!

  • I have today struck a real 1968er … question about registration in DE comes from AT

Hi guys, I hit today and added a new project from AT. The good w115 is from Austria and BJ 1968. A bit of what to do at 46 years. I’m now about the full acceptance that I have to do. BZW. I want to do the H acceptance right away. Today I can’t ask any more at the Tüv, maybe someone knows that anyway. I have 1 km to the KÜS. here with us, so to get there I drag Him if necessary. Only I still have Austrian documents. What do I do now? Because I don’t want to allow because I would then first get 800 Euro tax off! Who knows himself from there? Thank you, Mfg Ingo

  • W123 300 D pushes strongly after start

Moin dear community, I woke up my Emil (W123 with OM 617) from hibernation this weekend. Of course he wintered in the garage with battery maintenance equipment for the battery. Tank is brimming full. He only jumped after the second start attempt and then ran terribly unevenly until he was out of the garage. Feeled not all cylinders ran. After that he ran in the standing gas after about 10 seconds round. I could not make longer trips (bold season marks…), wanted a Is this probably just the spark plug or a spark plug plug? Or can there be any “greater” threat? Perhaps an information about the car: W123 300 D, BJ 1980, km stand about 16,000 original. For hints (or only calming down 😉 ) I am grateful. Many greetings

  • Mercedes-Benz 230 CE Buy ?

Hello all, I found a 230 CE which I really like. The car has 232,000 km is a petrol with manual transmission. The car is first approved in 1985, it has an H-approval and gets according to the advertisement new TÜV at the purchase. The front right has a bit rust. The purchase price is: 5,990 What are so things I should pay attention to if I look at the vehicle? For this is a good offer and will he possibly have problems?

  • Install other engine in 240D

Hi community, I’m Thomas, I’m 35 years old and have been driving a 240D built in 1981 for 5 years. I decided to install another motoer in the car. It’s supposed to be the M110 with 185 hp… Actually thought of buying a butcher to be able to implement the whole thing as easily as possible, quasi plug and play, … in a butcher would be all the necessary parts (electronics, gears, gears, gears, cardan shaft, diff etc.) already. However, it is designed Now my question: Are the 280ger engines from the other series of these years identical and would a motor of the S-Class easily fit into the w123? So at least engine + gearbox? I would have to have a cardan shaft shortened then, and a Diff could certainly be found even where. Greetings Thomas

  • Install 5 gears in W 123 240 D

I would like to install a 5 gear transmission in the W 123 240D Bj 1984. That should then the engine speed at 140 in 5 gear should be slightly lower than now? Is this possible at all? Too bad that the H-approval or can you just let the old gear lever for the 4 gear drive in so that the TÜV inspector doesn’t notice that. Who has a tip here?
