Cold engine – jerking 2 gears
Moin people, I have a question about 123. I have a 200 that I drive once or twice a week. I noticed that when I drive the first minutes after the start, the car has a kind of jerking in the first and especially in the second gear. So the car drives, but it feels like I couldn’t switch ^^ – When I start the first gear, it’s difficult to find the balance between gas and clutch – in the second gear, then jerk and shake the above described. As if the car cough ^^ after 5 minutes when the engine is warm then everything turns out quite normal. Maybe someone knows about you further

W123 Purchase – Puzzles in the engine compartment/Rial Mesh
Hello Mercedes municipality, I am looking at a W123 on the weekend. I was only torn back and forth if I really should look at the vehicle. The car has Rial Mesh rims and for me nothing was possible except baroque rims or steel rims with aperture in vehicle colour. But now I have thought, if the car is otherwise in a great condition, why not. Rial Mesh rims and tires can be exchanged. What do you think? I have only two big question marks now. On the one hand, if you look at the following picture (picture 1 on the far left – this kind of “second safety box) what is that? I have already looked at several 230 E, but never seen anything like that. Has this something to do with the lush special equipment? Second, the Rial Mesh rims (picture 2) certainly require a registration. The car has H-marks. Is it even possible to get TÜV because the time-wise ones are?

W114 Automatic K4C025 A1142701201 Occasion lock switch extend
Hello community, have already read some info to me and so only unfortunately with the topic of occasion lock switches everyone seems to shy away or so, what is the problem with the thing? Ok, my problem of the car can not start any more, neither on P nor on N. Recently he jumped again, after a long time back and forth from P to R again. Now no more, think it is definitely what kaput in or at the occasion lock switches. Just how do I build this thing out? Does this have to be the whole gearbox out? Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance and greeting

Which tyres for a W123 230E built in 1981
Hello together, can someone tell me if you can easily mount these tires on the car? 195/65 R15 Or don’t they fit, you lose the ABE or such a nonsense. Background tires in this size are still heaps of also from Michelin, Goodyear etc. which I would very much like to prefer the China tire manufacturer from 195 /70 R14. Thanks and greeting Ben Bansmann

Change W123 coupling hose
Hello friends of the old stars, I currently have a bit of problems with my clutch hydraulics. The first two three KMs it is relatively difficult to switch with, after that no more problems, so probably air in the system. Taker and encoder cylinders are not sooo old (about 3 years) so that I could imagine that it might also be on the clutch hose this time. Now I looked at the “Russen-EPC” and saw that there are apparently two different versions (see photo). Does someone here randomly in which cars each type of hose was installed? (I could get the information from Mercedes and then order there but there both versions cost 150€ each which I am not ready to pay for a hydraulic hose). The second question would be whether someone has changed the hose recently and could provide relevant advice on how to fit in and expand it: Is it very fuzzy or is it possible? Do you have to pay attention to something special?

Finishing Edge wheelhouses
Hello, the following question about the painting in the area of the wheel houses, especially in the area of the crossed edges: Is it normal that the edge areas are painted so rough and unevenly on the factory side (see example pictures)? I would like to look at vehicles soon as I can distinguish rust outflows from normal condition. Thank you in advance and greeting

W123: Remove rootwood – Repair?
Hi together! Will now finally approach the interior of my 123er – especially the various wooden inlays. Over time these are partly scratched, damaged and do not fit together (my grandpa had to exchange one – unfortunately in the wrong wood…) Question 1: Remove center console I can do it – but how can I get rid of the lasts on the dashboard?! Is there a trick / careful method? Question 2: Try to buy or foil the elements individually The elements are extremely difficult to get, because for example, every different switch has… I know you stoned me but have thought about folling?! I don’t want to put mine into the museum, but just drive and feel good, but 2 years looking for 800EUR is not so my joy also your tips and tricks! DANKE! Niki

W123 280 CE no longer starts after longer service life
Hello, I have the following problem with my W123. He doesn’t want to start any more. I suspect that something with the petrol pume is lazy. How can I check it the fastest? I also mean that it should actually buzz when the ignition is on, right? Battery is top. The engine is leaning and leaning but wants to come net. Or can it be on the old fuel?

W123 Tyre sizes
Hello. I used to have a 123er 230CE. I also had a pair of snow chains for this one. And now my question: Which tyres do these snow chains fit? I can only remember that the winter tyres (on steel rim) were narrower than the summer tyres. Maybe someone has a 230CE here and can tell me which tyres are registered there? mfg Peter.
