  • Van for USA tour 2000€

    Good day MT community, I had some questions about a USA tour that I planned for the coming year with two friends. We are all around the 18.19 years old. The plan is to fly to my aunt to Seattle, buy a van for about 2000€, get in front of a third seat or exchange the passenger seat through a wider bench (if that is possible) and then convert the rear part to sleep and as a storage space expedient and fast. Question I ask myself is whether it is possible to drive a van for 2000€ about 15,000 kilometers through America without getting too big problems and possibly also which van offers itself for such a project.   • Small license plate…

    My title already lets me guess what it’s about. I took off this funny cake sheet at the front, where you attach the plate plate to it. It just looked unsightly. However, what looks even more unsightly is this 52cm bullet that hangs at the front. I was here at the TÜV and asked if there was anything going on, for that reason small plate plate. No, is not. Let’s not wear such a thing. Since there is the possibility to mount a normal plate plate we don’t do that. And it doesn’t matter with w I would come by for a car (even if the vehicle had only a recess for a small license plate). There is always the possibility to mount a normal license plate. Is that the same with you. Do you think I get something like this when I drive to another TÜVler? Marc

  • Longevity Ford Mustang V?

    Hello all, I slowly save myself towards Mustang V and would be pleased about information regarding the longevity of engine, transmission and body. I noticed that on the trading platforms there is a Ford Mustang GT500, 4-5 years old, about 50,000 km, already around the 30,000 Euro. If this were a 500 Mercedes, I would say that is still good for 200,000 km and another 10 years. However, with the new Muscle Cars I lack any experience. Could also be that only d he has charged V8 problems and the normal is indestructible. What do you hear?

  • T1 procedure in Rotterdam – Where can I get it?

    Hello together I have a problem! And indeed my Ford Edge is stuck in Rotterdam, actually I wanted to pick up the car, have the T1 form filled out and then drive to Switzerland. (T1= Dispatch procedure / Nightgemeinschaftsware) The Shipping Company told me, however, she could not do this, but another company (Gaston School from Holland) could fill me in a T1 form.   • ’92 Firebird Exhaust Test – HC and CO too high

    Hey guys, now that I’ve been reading in the net for three hours on the subject, and from broken lambda probes to ramped-in camshafts, all was there, but no error description really happened to mine, I’m asking here. In idle mode, the CO doesn’t fit and at increased speed, only the HC doesn’t fit. But always only one of them, it didn’t occur throughout the AU that both values didn’t fit at the same time. CO2 and NOx were in absolutely green In addition, the examiner said that the Lambda probe would react sluggishly. I had the Lambda probe and the air filter replaced now. In other forums it was said that the TPI for the AU should have a hose of the AIR pump, or the plugs of the control box of the same pump. Is this also true for the MFI V6? After the two values dance in this strange pattern from the row, and otherwise not, I assume that the catalyst and spark plugs are in order. A user from a Land Rover forum was of the opinion that a tired ignition coil might (sometimes) cause this problem. Can there be anything about it? I still noticed an inconsistency when I drove to the AU: After I was in the exhaust test I filled the cart. However, the fuel calculator then calculated a consumption of 43.28 l/100 KM.   • Conversion US Import Oldtimer Pickup for the German TÜV – what to do ?

    Due to a change of plan I will now take care of the repair and upgrade for the 1937 ́er Chevy Pickup. So far I have only gained experience to upgrade an Opel GT reimport which was relatively easy because you could rely on original components. What is to be taken into account when upgrading, I have the lighting and the speedometer on the screen – what else is there and what is the best solution to upgrade the speedometer ? Thank you !

  • Ford V8 Unbalance/vibrations

    Hola! I have a problem with my vehicle. And that happens with about 80 km of vibrations, or unbalance… On the steering wheel you don’t notice anything but the instruments “hands” wobble. In the stand when I give gas you notice also an imbalance. Yesterday I tried to start the engine and also noticed an imbalance when starting…Motor didn’t jump right on because he has stood for a long time. I thought it could be the converter or the starter wreath…but if he had been unbalanced when starting already t? For information I have a Ford V8 7.5l 460 Built 71. The engine has been overhauled all parts new only the block is old! Camshaft “Edelbrock” approx. 3000km only down. Possibly someone has an idea?

  • Cadillac Seville 99 Cooling water loss

    Hello dear US community, I now have another problem with my thick. I had for a long time the problem that it consumes about 1 liters of cooling water on 700 km. Was therefore already in three workshops and they meant they did not have a CO2 tester ;-(. Well, because they took it up and generally looked for a leak only found nothing. They then all three started looking for the oil but I told them that they didn’t recognize this with the engine. So I told them the erz Her opinion on this was a shoulder twitch and only meant they had to watch it. Well, thank you for how long I should wait there? So I got on the AB today and first drove nice and meaningfully about 25 km and then kicked the thick on the brush ;-))) happy the sound ;-))) but what should I say almost a quarter tank procedure and the temperature indicator never went over the middle. On the way back I still did it l tried to get the tempomat in at 230 Kmh about 5 min then the Porsche was in front of me and I had to reduce my speed again. But still nothing with the temperature. Then I drove out at the rest area and tried to squeeze together the thick hose which goes long before the engine, went about 1/4 to squeeze together. So dear community how and what should I do now??? Well I never noticed any white smoke when starting. Is that my bonnet quite wobbly at 200 kmh, but it was hard to have checked extra. Ps. the water problem in the trunk I have not yet been able to test since it has not rained until now.

  • Mustang 2006 Whipple Supercharger HELP!!!

    I converted my 06s, manually switched Mustang GT to Whipple Intercooled Supercharger and now look for someone in D who can tune the part or have a SCT X3 or Diablo Tuner with Whipple software on offer. Software available, but can’t be set to vehicle. Can download software, but immobilizer blocks everything else.When I recharge “normal” software, engine starts with Whipple immediately, but runs really fat. Error either in SCT Tuner or my motor control unit does not recognize the tuner, Whipple was previously installed on other cars. In the USA there are a lot of tuning companies that offer either software or SCT tuners with Whipple Tune, but most deliver only within the USA, have contacted in D companies, which I don’t want to mention here, these companies with impressive advertising and websites do not even need to respond to email requests…. At the moment I don’t mind that I am the car n I can drive, it is no convertible weather anyway, but also this winter (hopefully) will be over soon. So, who can help and can give me a RESPONSIBLE and competent contact person in Germany. If the vehicle has to be brought, it may also be BENELUX or in eastern France.

  • Red turn signals TÜV Austria??

    Hello again! wanted to ask if there are problems with red turn signals (inks) at the TüV in Austria???? In the type certificate they are noted and also legal (has already been moved in Germany) the car! Can I typify him with red turn signals in the back??? MFG XBOX
