  • 250S W108 Decommissioned for 12 years, what to do?

A friendly Moin Moin from Hamburg As a result, the thing is there: The car has been logged out for 12 years, was standing 6 years in a rather damp garage which has pretty much added to him, and then another 6 years in a dry garage.. The question is now what should we do with the car? So, directly sell as it stands now, completely restore so that it is almost original where the question is with how much € you can expect or restore there but then with deeper laying and 18″ in the direction (you will certainly hate me for it) Would I look forward to numerous answers!

  • I have today struck a real 1968er … question about registration in DE comes from AT

Hi guys, I hit today and added a new project from AT. The good w115 is from Austria and BJ 1968. A bit of what to do at 46 years. I’m now about the full acceptance that I have to do. BZW. I want to do the H acceptance right away. Today I can’t ask any more at the Tüv, maybe someone knows that anyway. I have 1 km to the KÜS. here with us, so to get there I drag Him if necessary. Only I still have Austrian documents. What do I do now? Because I don’t want to allow because I would then first get 800 Euro tax off! Who knows himself from there? Thank you, Mfg Ingo

  • Wide tyres

Hello I would like to refer again to the experience of the people in the forum. I have on my 69er Impala front and at the rear 215/70/14 on 7 ” rims. At the moment I think about changing to only 295/50/15 to 10 ” rims. I want to leave the 215 front so. Does the 295 fit to 10 inch at all? What should be changed if not? What does the fuel consumption look like, changes strongly? Do I have to adjust to stronger wear (e.g. rear axle) and bad driving behaviour? Questions about questions Who knows more? MfG Bergmann

  • Car Names

Hi, guys I wanted to ask you all what you really think of the vehicle types that are used in this way! So! I have to ask myself again and again what fantasy our German name designers have when I read A-,C-,S-,M-Class, A4, E36,5er,7er, Golf 1,2,3,4,n…, and all this stuff like Ka,Lupo,Swift, Serena, usw.usw,! If I think so, our Ami’s and the Italians, in my opinion, have the only nice names. Ford’s Cougar let me listen, the Charger comes back, the “GTO” also (geil)!!! etc. Or even the Lambo’s Murcielago and Diablo, Countach That sounds just fine! Sure! The Corvette was also numbered, C1-C6, but not exactly as with DC or Audi What do you think?

  • 73er Ford LTD Wagon 429ci suitable for everyday use?

Hello, I am looking for a classic truck with a lot of cargo space. I came across the Ford LTD Wagon 1973er 429ci. Does anyone here have experience with the everyday suitability of the vehicle? I want to use it for daily use about 50% AB and 50% city. About 20tkm annual output. Can anyone tell me how high the fuel consumption is in the box in urban traffic and on the AB? Can someone tell me what the weak points of the LTD Wagon are? What do I have to pay attention to? What about the spare parts supply in DE for the LTD Wagon? Is it possible that an experienced LTD hass can be used to advise against unburdening? Are there any other tips and suggestions that I should pay attention to? Does someone have an idea (please ask by PN) how to register an oldie with H-sign registration and car gas/natural gas operation? If you don’t get the latter, where do you end up with the normal insurance and tax at the said car? (without H-character) So I hope many questions are helpful here…

  • W123 300 D pushes strongly after start

Moin dear community, I woke up my Emil (W123 with OM 617) from hibernation this weekend. Of course he wintered in the garage with battery maintenance equipment for the battery. Tank is brimming full. He only jumped after the second start attempt and then ran terribly unevenly until he was out of the garage. Feeled not all cylinders ran. After that he ran in the standing gas after about 10 seconds round. I could not make longer trips (bold season marks…), wanted a Is this probably just the spark plug or a spark plug plug? Or can there be any “greater” threat? Perhaps an information about the car: W123 300 D, BJ 1980, km stand about 16,000 original. For hints (or only calming down 😉 ) I am grateful. Many greetings

  • Manta B barn find FIN welded in, what to do?

Hello forum! A few days ago, a friend who bought a rest yard pulled a Manta B GT/E out of a barn. There are no papers or similar information about the car. During the inspection, we noticed that the FIN was welded under the carpet on a 120×60 piece of sheet metal next to the passenger seat (bad). Since I am an enthusiastic screwdriver I played with the idea to make the car fit again, but this was due to the not original FIN The sheet metal is only dotted in and smeared with body seal. The numbers have probably been beaten into the sheet itself with hit numbers. Anyway, there is no lock sign in front of and behind the number (Raute or similar) Is the car worthless? What can you do now best? Demonstrate and scrap the body body and get a Rokarosserie with a letter? Is there still a FIN in the vehicle somewhere else? Don’t have any types either? Sign found in engine compartment. MfG, FaberCastell92
