  • Backfire Chevy G20 5.7

Hello, which causes can the backfire have with short load changes at the Chevy TBI? Ignition is correctly set up, TPS too. Vaccum hoses are all new. WHEN you ride gently everything goes only when you give stronger gas it starts to spin and there is backfire, just as if you give short gas shocks in the stand. Thanks for the help.

  • Ford 460 BB Grinding Valves

Hello in the round I’m just about to rework my Big Block Bj 76 and now wanted to grind the valves in. Now an acquaintance told me that it could be that I have hardened valve seats and by grinding in break the coating and that as a result they “burn away” later. Can someone help me? Thank you very much.

  • Ford Mustang V6 vs V8

Hello, I have to buy a mustang (2013 or 2014) before next year. For financial (and perhaps also a bit for ecological) reasons I think about it after the V6 to the V8. Since I was always convinced, however, a mustang must be a V8 I would like to know the opinion of more experienced mustang connoisseurs. To what extent is the V6 inferior to the V8? Are the over 100 hp more indispensable for sound and driving feeling or is the V6 in Germany d he better decision? Thank you in advance!

  • How much game cans front axle 78er Camaro

Hello everybody, I would need a qualified answer again, because I have a riddle again. I’m just rebuilding a 1955 Chevrolet Apache and I have a question about the gun game on the upper crosscarrier. Must say that the front axle is from a 78 Camaro. Is it normal that d he have so much game (see picture)?! And if we are already there: Does someone with how much NM they are dressed? Thank you in advance and many greetings, Florian

  • Avoid immobilizer?!

Since last WE my Park Avenue of 91 doesn’t want to start anymore. In the evening he doesn’t want to start anymore! Everything goes on, only the engine doesn’t want to start. No click, or try to start. Just nothing else! Everything goes on. Light, ventilation, radio… etc. The starter is ok. So it seems to be the immobilizer itself. With brand new keys tried. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. -.- Now I saw in the forum that someone had the same problem, and he the Einfac But unfortunately it is from 2009 and without further comment. Now I ask myself the question, how can I bypass the immobilizer? Does anyone have schematics? I’m just really broken up because he is my only car at the moment… Maybe someone can help me here?! Greetings, Marc

  • Mustang 2005 BCM defective – compatibility of years of construction / repair ….. and short presentation

Moin zsammmen, i am here rather the reader and not – writer, but now I need some support after all. To introduce myself briefly, i am 51, I had my first Mustang with 16 without a driver’s license in the garage (which is now restored my junior drives). I myself drive a Mustang Mach1 `72 with 351C and love everything that piffs and puffs while moving (as with the moped – but that’s another stage). Now it happened that my daughter also drive a Mustang. My wife had objected because of the performance, so only the 4.0 V6 was left, the following mustangs already had too much power. After we had bought a really good specimen, I removed the LED inserts in the rear lights for the turn signals (through the conversion of only one chamber as a turn signal), would theoretically not be allowed. 6 months later the turn signals failed to the right, the body control modules (BCM) was defective. e I had shot a used one, learned and everything was great. Well, 6 months later the BCM is defective again with the turn signals on the right. Wiring etc. is fine. I have meanwhile researched, that by the conversion the outputs of the BCM are overloaded. The rear turn signals are simply clamped to the front, behind was installed for the missing chamber of the brake flash function heating resistors, so that the flash frequency continues to fit. Now I was also clear, why LEDs were built in, the previous owner has probably already been more suffering. Now I am looking for a BCM. One with exactly the same number is not to be found except in the USA. The question is whether someone knows in how far the ECUs are compatible in the years of construction, that would expand the selection. Maybe someone also has a BCM and wants to get rid of it, the last I had bought for 55€. And …. there are LEDs in the turn signals again, which reduces the performance – Marcus (to the photo: don’t worry, I didn’t cut the wiring, at the moment it had come from the user)

  • Cadillac Escalade (6.0l V8) and car gas

Hello, I am interested in buying a Cadillac Escalade from 2005 with the 6.0 machine (not the 6.2 machine). The vehicle has an already installed LPG system. Now I have already read in the net a little bit about the vehicle and have read several times that the engine is not permanently gas-resistant. I would therefore be interested to what extent this is expressed then? To what extent the gas operation damages the engine and what exactly does this result at some point? What would a repair be cost-effective? is the engine even even repairable? If someone has personal experiences in the matter I am of course happy to hear about it already thank you in advance for your answers, greeting, Robert

  • Original GM parts

Hi! Surely you have already ordered from online shops, like KTS u.s.w. What I would like to know is if I order parts like coolers, exhaust system us.w these are also original GM parts. Or are these any replicas? Do you know a shipping that deals with original parts? I had bought a new exhaust system for my Camaro some time ago. (was not in the online trade, but from the dealer from whom I have the Camaro.) The problem was that the exhaust system was a few centimeters too short. The gag is that my old exhaust was already a few centimeters too short, in the same place, so I just had to cut this piece rough and weld to the new exhaust. The exhaust comes from some company called Worker or something like that. Do I get the same junk on the Internet? MfG Marcus
