  • Young family man looking for family-friendly vehicle

Good evening, gentlemen, I’m the Tim 23 from NRW and I’m playing with the idea of getting an Ami or Pick-Up. The idea is to drive a car like this because it’s not commonplace and in my eyes something special. I don’t have any experiences with pick-up/SUV ́s. My first cars were a Renault Clio, then a BMW 316i, first “real” car Golf 6 R, and now that there’s something bigger there has to be. I’m 2.05m tall and weigh 120 kg and need something big accordingly. That’s why I’m going to ask what I get for 20,000€. I just don’t know what’s right and what’s wrong with mobile and co. Can an Ami V8 have more than 150k on the clock or is already shift in the shaft. Please don’t kill me ;D therefore I’m asking for advice here. Greetings Tim

  • Ford Crown Victoria P71 conversion for Germany

Hello everybody, I have a few questions and I hope this is the one or the other that can help me. I’ve been playing with the idea of getting a US car for a very long time now and now it’s time. I’m looking for the US market now and if I get the right Ford Crown Vic model in front of my face it’s going on. I already have a company that does the purchase and transport for me in the USA. What I have to pay here at customs and taxes I know a uch. And now to the problem. Can I upgrade the car, a Ford Crown Vic P71 from ca 2008 by myself? What does everything have to be converted? Sure turn signal, stand light and fog-stop light on everyone but anything else? Do I need special documents to which I as a private person might not get to? Does one of you have experience? Is there perhaps even one of the people in Hesse who has done this with the TÜV already with this model? But I have to ask questions about this, because unfortunately I couldn’t find anything really helpful on the net. And you can’t believe everything on the net anyway. That’s why my call for help to all Crown Vic owners. I am grateful for every tip and experience report when importing. Maybe even a little bit, because logically the P71 models ex Police or other state vehicles were missing here and there sometimes something about parts like e.g. the front inner light or back also often the Window lifter switch. Where is it easiest to get it? Thank you for your time and help. Greeting Matthias

  • Car-buying addict ?!

Last summer I bought my Caprice. This for a long time looking on the Internet. For hours I forested on Drive-in.ch Autoscout24.ch etc. I MUST have a Caprice station. And then finally bought one. I find the car simply awesome! But nevertheless my feelings from “keep it forever and restore everything” switch to “sell it” . However I know that I would slap my face if I would give it here. And yet I want to sell it again… it is Last month I bought a small car (Corsa B), which I use as a “reserve and replacement car”. In addition, I ordered a new van which will be my own in April. Should be enough. But suddenly I see an absolute dream car advertised. I immediately looked for pictures in Google and ebaymotors.com, found and thus increased enthusiasm. Now I go tomorrow (Wednesday) to look at the car. And I am now looking for pictures. I’m almost sure that I’ll buy the car…if the price is right. But… I don’t have any use for this thing. But an inner voice tells me: “You have to have that!” Not that you think I’m going to booze here with money…my current cars haven’t cost 20t € together yet. But I’m wondering if I’m still okay? Have you or did you ever have that? Or is your enthusiasm limited to ONE car you have? I think I’m crazy…… rexxell

  • LPG Consumption Tahoe 5.7

Hi, I would be interested in what your Tahoes converted to LPG consume. My consumption seems to be quite high: I had a Tartarini installed in my 98 Tahoe 5.7 ltr. The fuel consumption is thus 13-14 liters. Gas it needs easily 20 liters; I find the extra consumption quite heavy! Since I had initially noticed on standing vehicle gas odor, I suspected a leak in the system. Was also so and was removed in the workshop. r screw connection was not reasonably sealed. Therefore, I am quite sure that further leaks no longer exist. However, the consumption remained high; a defective thermostat was detected during a further visit to the workshop. Since the LPG control reads and processes values from the thermostat, the cause was assumed here. But the exchange did not work either. Therefore, my question about your consumption values. Remember that it is not a problem with the workshop. Krauter is dealing with JA Automobile in Langenfeld, a major dealer for Suzuki, Dodge, Chrysler, for which LPG conversions are part of the day-to-day business. By the way: I was pleasantly surprised that I received a new tax notice completely uninquired and unexpectedly after the installation and now only half of the car taxes have to be paid (7.36 €/100ccm). So the system pays for itself much faster. I always assumed that the classification of cars with bivalent operation did not exist. t changes and is assumed to be worse each. Greeting wogro

  • car to make

want to ask if you know where to look if I’m looking for a cheap (important!!!) Ami car. I’ve been interested in an ami that I can screw around with my father at the end of the week^^. But since I’m still a student and don’t have a money tree yet I want to know where to look. The car should be able to drive but still renovate ^^ and not cost more than 4000 euros. Do you know this provider ??? I’m interested in 69-71 pontiac gt o ́s, dodge charger or camaro firebird but now please don’t try to turn me on a car, I am looking for internet addresses (also for car dealers) many thanks^^

  • Search US pickup + test drive + shipping service provider

Hello, I am looking for a German service provider that offers the following: I sign a contract in advance that I have to take the vehicle off if everything is fine. 1. I am looking for a vehicle at autotrader.com 2. the service provider drives to the US seller and checks the vehicle for visible defects as well as for audible defects during a test drive (engine + transmission) 3. the service provider drives the vehicle to the US port and ships the vehicle to Bremerhaven (TÜV + Inch + Umrüftu 4. I drive to Bremerhaven and see if everything is visible and audible (as indicated in the contract), hand over the payment amount in cash and get the vehicle with title. The vehicle is a European SUV, something like Volvo XC90 or VW Touareg. Unfortunately, it is so the provider like uscars24.de or Geigercars alone for the shipping charge around 2500 dollars, the normal price for RoRo from the east coast is about 1000 dollars?

  • Is that all you’ve got left to do with US car dealers?

You can’t shave all over a comb but I caught two of the vehicles with manipulated track counters within about 2 weeks and still offer them. Case 1 v. 06.12.08 2003 Ford Explorer XLT 4.6 with approx. 56,900 mls bought from the dealer in Hamburg-Wellingsbüttel. Renowned Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealer I had trusted the dealer and signed the purchase contract as I was guaranteed the mileage of about 108,000 km. Excerpt Carfax: 06/29/2006 100,601 Lucas Ford Lincoln Mercury Southold, NY 631-765-9200www.lucasfordlm.com Vehicle serviced Manufacturer’s recommended maintenance performed 09/19/2006 107,098 New York Inspection Station Passed safety inspection Passed emissions inspection View what was inspected My lawyer took over the case so I don’t want to call the dealer yet. Case 2 Today 22.12.08 With my wife I looked at a dealer in Dortmund today a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica AWD. Running power according to the odometer approx. 47000KM (approx. 29,000mls)! An emission sticker with over 110,000mls in the windshield made us stutzig. I don’t even need a Carfax report. The VIN entered at Google resulted in the following result:Sales display from the USA Quite brazenly manipulated, right? Here nothing signed as I am a burnt child By the way, the dealer wants 14.950 EUR for the vehicle. A nice win.

  • Why are eigdl. Chevy Impala ́ and FORD Crown Victory so rarely represented in D.WHY?

Hi. I really like these two models so from 95 upwards ! But the offer in D is relatively thin and if what is available, then it is quite expensive ! The two models are very common in the USA ! In NY drive a lot of it around ! I have always been looking at Law & Order or CSI Miami/Vegas around me looking at the slurries 🙂 Just at Law & Order the sound comes over horny ! Does anyone have any idea why these are so rare ?
