Hello, so here’s the thing: I’ve been dreaming about getting a Ford Mustang for some time now, so from BJ 2005. That’s why it would be quite good if someone could give me tips and experiences. I’m aware of the high maintenance costs. Especially in the fuel, but I can get along with that. But I don’t really know how suitable for everyday use the Mustang is. Rear drive in winter and so on. And V6 or V8 ? Does the V6 really save so much fuel compared to the V8 ? And taxes etc. ? Price should s o up to 11000 euros, because financed, what do you think, you get for it something proper, max. 6/7 years old? And what about inspections? Can it be done mostly in a “normal” German workshop? Many thanks in advance for all contributions, and yes, it may be that this question has been asked many times, only I know most answers already or did not find that expected. MfG

cadillac eldorado 94 automatic transmission does not switch
Hello together, I drive a Cadillac Eldorado bj. 1994 and have the following problem.I was 3 weeks on vacation and drove yesterday with the caddy again. At first everything was ok but after a while it started. When I accelerated he did not turn up and the lamp “Service Engine soon” went on. I drove the caddy then into the garage and hardly got up there.Almost sounded as if something went wrong. Yesterday evening he gave me the following codes. shows with running engine: P029 (E029) …………. Transaxle shift ‘B’ solenoid problem (1st, 3rd, 4th gear) P024 (E024) ………………………………. Vehicle Speed sensor signal to TCC current P086 (E086) ………………. Undefined Gear Ratio (Transmission Pressure Control) current This morning I deleted all codes and tested the gear oil with running engine.Gear oil level is ok.He did not display any error codes. soon “and he hasn’t switched on any more.I think he’s driving in the second gear.I suspect it’s an electronic problem.Today he only has P029 (E029) …………. Transaxle Shift ‘B’ solenoid problem (1st, 3rd, 4th gear)currently displayed during the ride, later as history. Maybe someone has already had the same try and can help me. Thanks already in advance, greeting……Rob

Rockfall damage in the field of vision
Something I didn’t worry about so far has arrived. A stone flew against my disc. Hinterliess a “jump” in the size of a 20Cent piece. Of course, exactly in the middle of the field of view. I have so far got everything almost smoothly for my vehicle, with a disc probably stops. The Lord of Carglass just said that they can’t repair this because it is in the field of view. He wants to try to get a disc, but I’m not so optimistis h. Someone a tip for me? What options do I have? Can one have something like this also “unofficially” repaired to gain time first? Thank you

Endangering H approval
Hello, I’ve just been a bit in the last chrome & flames and am a little confused. There are among others a 67 Dodge Coronet Sattion, a 57 Chevy Pickup and a 68 Charger, all of which have experienced more or less strong conversions. Especially on the Charger seems to be nothing more original than the sheet metal dress. Apart from the fact that I’m only partly enthusiastic about the conversion of automotive cultural property, the question arises to me, how do they keep their H-knowledge I can still understand for safety reasons, if discs instead of drums are installed. But if electric cut-outs are installed, which are not even “normal” approved, or not contemporary engines or shell seats, modern 5-speed gearboxes or or or, then the blindest tuffer would have to become stunned. Please don’t misunderstand, I give the owners their H-mark. But after what you read here partly about problems with the H-assessment, In addition, the station is offered for sale for not very small money in the same issue. That would be bad if someone buys the good piece in the assumption, he buys it with the insurance and tax favorable H-approval, which he gives again at the next Tüv date. If they don’t shut down the cart before because of the cut outs. How do you see that. Do you have such conversions and a good, blind or greedy tuff yourself? him?

Suffocation in the exhaust, power losses, misignition?
Hi everybody, I need your help. Yesterday in the nice weather again the convertible had outside. 1966 Olds with 425cui BB. Carburettor is the original 4barrel quadrajet. Driving there was everything great. Ca 15km Back after about 3-4 hours he did the following: If you give gas leg load change, it pops in the exhaust, or rather a dull exhaust or so, no loud bang. At the same time, at the moment of the noise completely the power is gone, as if it were out, but only for a second And then he goes forward again. Take away gas and give gas again, and the same game.. Someone’s idea? I had the last time, possibly. Could it be related to lukewarm engine, but not sure. Greetings Marc.

Paint care 1966 original paint.
Hello guys, my Merc isn’t lucky to be in a well-ventilated garage, but in a standard double-finished garage. The Merc is covered in the garage with a thin fabric hood, but unfortunately it has light airframe set. How can I best maintain, preserve and remove the original paint and the airframe? Furthermore, the wheelwheel has dense airframe, which kind of paint would you recommend? My plan with the wheelwheel, was with water sanding paper the rust away, underground lap k then “normal” paint. After that I would mount the Fender, so the wheel would be protected by constant stone fire. I would be happy if you had a advice for me.

Diagnosis device with coding functions
Friends, for my 2011 Cadillac CTS 4 Coupe I would like to buy an OBD diagnostic device… It’s less about deleting significant error messages (the way leads me to the workshop) but I’d like to make codings, e.g. day running light (if that works at all), learning tire pressure sensors, hopping on when locking etc. A request from a supplier provided that devices for this purpose are not less than € 3,000 (!) for my vehicle. However, I had “my drop” within reach… Please let me know if this information is correct or rather a fake… First of all, thank you Jens

Removing sunshades, Pontiac Catalina 1973
I gave the sun visors of my Pontiac Catalinas to the autosattler in 1973, the decorative seam should be sewn. J calls me and says that all the material is torn open while sewing and I should buy new ones. I’m slightly angry! Is there no new car or common vehicle where you simply buy sun visors quickly. What would you do now? Can someone call me a reliable autosattler who refers to them anew?
