  • U.S. Car Meets in my area??

    Hey guys!!! Summer can start right now, even if the weather doesn’t really want to. I have a long holiday now and sometimes a lot of time, so I wanted to ask you “insider” times when a really cool US-car event is going on here!!! I come from the region of Frankfurt and unfortunately the really big meetings are always weeit weeeit away… I wanted to see a real event! If I see the photos here, I get angry why I wasn’t there ^^ So I don’t have any idea what’s going on at the moment – so: 1. What’s next time? 2. Is there something in the vicinity of Frakfurt now?   • Exhaust manifold does not warm on a cylinder

    Hi, with my Cadillac Fleetwood Bj. 76 with 500cui (8.2l) with 200 hp we have measured the temperature of the exhaust manifold on the individual cylinders. On all cylinders this is about 120 to 130 degrees, except on one, which always has only 95 to 100 degrees. The spark plugs are checked, spark comes. Valves have hydrostottles, can not be adjusted, compression is on all cylinders at 5 to 8 bar. Could the error lie in the carburettor or on the suction spider? Has anyone ever gained experience with this? LG Helmut

  • Shocked!!!

    Tag people.. am absolutely shocked !!!! I always thought that I have a 351 Cleveland under the hood!! But now the disillusionment..have finally taken a closer look at the engine and I have identified it clearly as 351 Modified (a Cleveland and Modified are hard to keep apart, but I have seen it on the basis of the cylinder heads!! At Cleveland there are 2en for 2bbl and 4ren for 4bbl. Leg Modified stands there M for Modified ) Was there probably too good faith when I bought the thing, because I could be sure it was not a 351 Windsor and the seller specified it was a 70-72 Cleveland installed. So I did not control the very small differences. Was also a US car workshop, and they should know what they were selling… Even if it was about ebay. Well my question: Do I have any possibilities to turn what with the seller ( goods were not properly written out ) ! Seller comes from Switzerland … or you see there black ( what I knew about it was not so well known!).

  • What do you think about central injection instead of carburetor?

    Hello! I saw there is something in a well-known company… Looks like a carburetor has 2 injection nozzles above (looks like that at least) and is installed instead of the original one. Costs about 800 euros… Ask for the reason that I need a new carburetor. If such an injection system still consumes 3 or 4 liters less then I wouldn’t think for long. How the control is still in my mind is still puzzled about all the factors like temp, vacuum etc.. only you need a normal control unit or? Vl knows who is out there….. Would be great! Thank you

    Hello, I asked you a question. I had my GM smallbblock completely renewed. changed after about 400 miles of oil. before the week there was also enough oil in it, but I had already discovered oil sludge – which I didn’t think was bad, because it can be created by short distance trips – at least I looked again after the oil and had to find out that the oil level was under the minimum and white sludge was on the measuring rod. oil loss I didn’t have any more, that’s relatively safe. what now? oil refill? new oil change? besides, today for the first time a red light on the rotary meter has lit (in accelerating) what does the questions say? questions about questions may help me. thank you in advance.

  • Help with US-Car project needed!

    Hello together, I need urgent help with my project. My 74 ́er Chevy has been imported 91 to Germany and has not yet been registered with the TÜV or is not yet registered. Now I would like to allow them with an H-mark. Problem: No US driving certificate is available yet no full acceptance at the Tüv and quite needing restoration. Customs documents and safety declaration as well as the technical. Data sheet of GM is available from 1992!! I believe the declaration of safety should be reapplied at www.kba.de. Do I get the info if everything is OK so that it has not been stumbled in the USA? Rich these formalities then have also been hoarded by an expert report which certifies that it is a vintage car?

    Hello together today per case n camaro vintage 1999 with 75000 km run fresh mfk = tüv automat black leather seats with 3.8 V6 and 193 hp seen. Wunderschöner car looks all clean from booklet maintained by a “real” American garage which is known here for its good work. cost point 5000 euro converted. can someone weakly tell me this car or what you have to pay attention to and what about this car is generally rather bad?
