Hello everyone here, once again I turn to you because of my 92 Firebird 3,1l. I had made the ignition system new and just can’t find a workshop that can adjust it to me. the problem is that it runs very restless, at the traffic light and sometimes when driving slowly just goes out when it is warm and that with gear in it which in my opinion does not do very well the automatic. Well my question; is this only because of the ignition setting and one of you in the greater Duisburg area knows a a workshop or someone who can read out the error codes to me and also adjust the ignition???? Thank you for your help and tips. Gruss Rolf

AFR 195cc SBC LT4 Eliminator Street Cylinder Head
Hi V8-Lover, after an in-depth test it won’t be anything with the LS2 as a replacement for the LT1. The engine compartment is just too small for it. MIST. Anyway now it will be a 383 Stroker and my question to you, possibly also Rüdiger in particular, is: Has anyone had experience with the AFR 195cc SBC LT4 Eliminator Street Cylinder Head??? I’m just about to go through the component-sizing and reprogramming. Maybe someone can say something to the heads and suction track. Thanks for every meaningful n Note 😉 Merlin

How does the heart of GM beat?
GM has over 8 millards minus, a number that worries me, because I care a lot about Chevy, Pontiac etc., ask what happens now with GM ? Can GM still save itself ? A SuperGAU would be a takeover of Japanese, the 2nd insolvency . Nothing against Jap. cars but GM should remain US., the at Chrysler has just gone well or has sat down in Positve (Challenger, 300c etc.) Also with Ford I hope the best, on the old days !

What car is it supposed to be? I have no idea!
Hello ,liebe US Cargemeinde. Wanted to get me next year a Mustang V6 but the idea is now on ice because my situation is changing. well, I need another car anyway and I could get a 91 Pontiac firebird V6 now but there’s my besere half against it because she wants an E class as a combi and I think that’s good too. Above all, the new and safer one. Or? I really didn’t find the firebird as a child already quite great and And then when I was 13, I said he was going to be my first car, well, the car has to be suitable for everyday use and had to be old on the highway for a while. I’m kind of torn back and forth between the two cars that aren’t really like each other at all. Please help me. mfg

Bolt-in or c-clip axles – how to find out what you have?!
Servus people, I don’t have any more glimmers of how to get ahead and thought I could get help here. I have to get a shorter translation on the rear axle and the parts dealer in the USA asks me now whether I have “C-Clip” or “Bolt-in” axles… I have to fit unfortunately and don’t know what I have now. On the differential housing I have “GM2” and “N1235542″ and it’s a 10-Bolt 8.5” as much as I know… I have nen ́74 Firebird with currently 3.08 translation and just di e 10-bolt as an info for those who can help me to clarify this question… Is there an identification, similar to with engines via VIN or with gearboxes with the number of screws on the oil tank, with which you can decrypt what you have now – C-Clip or Bolt-in Axles – without having to disassemble everything? I hope there is a specialist who knows Pontiacs (BOP axes) and can help me… Thanks

Buick Special V8 56
Hello together! At the moment I look around a little on the used car market, where I am looking for an adequate vehicle for everyday operation, in this section also called Daily Driver. I have to admit that the design of the American cars from the mid-1970s until today does not particularly appeal to me. Often the vehicles are simply too edgy or in the cockpit is a little too much plastic processed. But then when I looked further, I am over a p aar Buick Special from the years between 1953 and 1960, whose design has torn me directly from the stool. Unfortunately, the vehicle descriptions only offer scanty information about the engines and the other technical data of these vehicles. Therefore my questions to the forum: Does anyone know this data or can anyone tell me if in this model the V-8 322in3 or the V-8 264in3 was installed? Perhaps someone has gained experience with such a car and can report on the need for repair and above all on consumption? Is the purchase of such a vehicle recommended or should I rather avoid using newer vehicles in case of emergency? I am very grateful for the answer to the questions, as well as any further information about this car, as the search for infromation on the internet is very difficult. Therefore in advance thank you! Greetings to De Kölsche

’67 Ford Mustang, how suitable for newbies is it??
Tach people, for a few years now the idea of the 67 Mustang doesn’t go out of my mind. Now I would have bought the dough around that part. But I have unfortunately hardly any idea of cars, rather of motorcycles. I drive no Harley. So, quite honestly, without the patos and romantic shit, you can do it. Can you really have a 40-year-old Ford Mustang? Without that you are constantly lying under it or unraveling oil? Or is the part constantly standing around in my workshop and costing money, and w Yes, how much?

Cooper or Maxxis / Which one to buy?
Dear US Car Fans I’ve already mentioned the issue of tyre choice at my Caddy Sedan de Ville (1990, 4.5 L FWD V8, tyres 205/70 15). Now there are only two more in the selection. Therefore: Same price (just 400 €), which white wall is better? Maxxis MA-1http://cgi.ebay.de/…/200567778038?… or Cooper Trentsetter SEhttp://cgi.ebay.de/…/190493369528?… Are there any opinions and experiences? Thank you for your assessment and your time, Hardo
