  • Which tank mix does the engine good?

Super 95, Super 95 Plus or what they’re all called, Super 98? Lead additive needed or not? It’s an Ascona B 13N, BJ 04.1980, 60 HP; There’s already a similar question, but couldn’t really read something out.

  • Choke can only be half pressed in. Car does not start

Moin, I have the following problem: the Choke-Hebel at my Ascona C Built 82, can only be pushed in half and the car does not start any more. I drove to work this morning still quite normally, everything was good. I drove with the drawn Choke to work, because the track is quite short and I was in a hurry and I did not push the lever back in when I turned off the car. Grade when trying to start it I heard that the Choke was still a The battery was dead shortly afterwards and the bridge cable didn’t use anything. I looked at the lever on the carburettor and everything can be moved well. The Bowden train runs free as well. I am now a bit helpless, because I am not driving an old car for long and I have only recently been dealing with the technology. n must. Is it because of the cold? Can’t imagine that 0 degrees already take care of it and this morning he also jumped. It was probably the very short distance he doesn’t like, right?

  • Record E1 Injection problem

Dear Opel municipality, I’ve got a fire-fighting guide vehicle record E1 Caravan 2.0E with automatic. The vehicle stood there for about 2 years still. A jump was very heavy, but the engine runs great and has a really good performance with its 110 hp. The record still has the L-Jetronic and is original from Jan. 1981. 50tkm. When the car stands 1 day, it starts just as hard as originally after 2 years. I made the AU today and he had a CO value of 0.28 Super like I mean, without a cat! Why does he always start well, except after more than 24 hours? Does anyone know advice?

  • Wrong carburetor?

Hi guys, I have a problem with my cars: the penultimate weekend I drove about 30km without any problems. On the way back, just before I was home, the engine went off when I had to turn off before. Engine on, gear in and on. At the last 50m the engine went off again. He left without any problems, but as soon as I put in a gear he went out again after about 1 second… nothing went except the neighbor who pushed me home — After about 2 hours of cooling you could drive again. This week I had a friend of the carburetor set and he slightly raised the idle speed…..but the engine went off 2 times when running warm in the stand. On a test drive he went out once when we were in front of a crossroad. But then he drove again to the vehicle: it is a 64er Impala with 327er engine (300Ps) and a noblebrock 1407 (750cfm) carburetor on (probably) original suck-in pi nne and there’s nothing to see from an adapter plate! I’ve already spent a few hours in Inet and read a lot about the topic and guess that it’s the carburettor because it’s probably more than too big for this engine?! According to the formula for the carburettor calculation, I’m guessing 402 Cfm as a result! What do I look like when I swap the carburettor through a 500 CFM? Does that fit, or is it too big? Before I throw out my money to the window, and the error v I hope you can help me! mfg Stefan

  • Only two copies of the Cadillac 8.2-litre machine were built!

Yesterday – and this is actually amazing – the owner of this dreamlike 72 Eldorados wanted to tell me this nonsense. He said (in Swabian) So far I always thought that only Ami-unacquainted people would tap such nonsense. The discussion about the engine had resulted from the fact that I had asked him whether the lettering “8.2 Litre” (see picture) was original. He misunderstood this in that I could not imagine that it would ever have been possible to use 8.2 liter engine capacity. Again and again he insisted that this machine had been built only two times, just now, I politely said goodbye to the now somewhat indignant gentleman, not without always wishing for a good ride, but I still have a few questions for you:

  • 70s Cadillac Eldorado coupe with 8.2 engine

I bought an Eldo yesterday and would have asked you a question: How can you make the sound a bit more nurturing and louder? That’s already good if you are standing behind the car but I still find it quiet in itself. I wanted to inform myself. That’s the only thing I would change in the originality. And the H character is not affected by it if I just do that. My Coupe has a double exhaust system as it was delivered in 1970. I am looking forward to he takes a picture in. mfg Marco Jansen

  • Mystery error part 5

Moin Moin, after our 1998 Lumina with 3.8L V6 has problems from time to time, and these disappear again and then appear again, I had the opportunity yesterday to connect a diagnosis PC. However, the values are more funny than conclusive. Turn of 9000 and speeds of 136kmh in parking position. Brief history: Our Lumina had until last year always irregular or rarely the phenomenon that the Lumina started normal and after approx. . 5 km drive just started running unround. After a few minutes he ran normal again. Error code there is no. It always occurs when the engine is cold and then you drive the engine warm. He takes gas quite normally and if you give gas, only in the stand he ticks around. Here is the live video of yesterday:http://youtu.be/KRF2dll2qbE http://youtu.be/GJjDMIgB9ms http://youtu.be/VDvNZ9s7G10 And once live data of the ODB2:ScanXL I’m starting to really despair because you miss it. Changed: – Spark plugs – Ignition cable – Lower suction bridge seal – Upper suction bridge seal and suction bridge – MAF Sensor – AGR Valve – TPS Sensor – All liquids that the car has

  • Revamping turn signal/standlight function Chevrolet Avalance

Hello together. Is there an instruction on how to separate the blinker standlight function myself with my Chevrolet Avalance 2003? The yellow position lights (front) are with for the warning flashing system. The actual turn signals (2 thread lamps) are coupled with the standlight. Can one change something with electrotechnical knowledge and an instruction such yourself, or must something be reprogrammed here, or a control or similar be exchanged? First thought, I can change the Bli do not function from the combined flasher / stand light bulb separate the position light (yellow glass) and then wire the wire for the “necessary” flasher to the position light. Problem is that the lamp of the position light has 5W (I didn’t get another one) and so the flasher flashes “faster”. Now I look for a useful tip or a guide. You can keep dull comments for yourself. Thank you to all the others already!

  • Dodge Challenger Supercharger

Hello, I would like to change from my Subaru Impreza (from the pole) to a Dodge Challenger (BJ 2012) in the next few weeks. He has already brought a 5.7l machine which 277kW. I have already tested, of course I have already looked at other cars but I decided that it should be the Challenger. I have been standing on the car since my childhood, since the great 70s/80 models were often seen in the US movies. I also got into my head that you could have a Blow Engine/Blower (http://www.streetsampa.com.br/…/blower3.jpg )Kit as seen in the older model of the Charger at Fast & Furious. Something to me. I’m not the type who has so much idea of cars. Sometimes something in the electronics frying around, brakes or end pot changing is no problem. But the cylinder valves can’t be adjusted or timing belts can’t be changed. Because of that, I have extra money for the car. 10k put aside. Now I want to hear from you whether this is total nonsense and unreal, or really something that can be done. I can’t really judge this because I’ve often put the sick “shei*” in my head. And the question about it is, what does it cost? Greetings for Sunday

  • Engine problems with K&N air filter?

Hello together, Does anyone have any experience of using a K&N air filter in conjunction with a noble brock carburetor on a 350cui engine? I changed the original air filter for a K&N filter, model E1500 when changing routinely in winter times. I didn’t notice any difference when taking a short ride in winter, but since the spring check and he workshop it seems to me as if the engine wasn’t pulling properly anymore, spontaneous gas rather leads to the engine not getting properly I have already researched, the opinions are sometimes very different in terms of K&N in combo with a carburetor. I am happy about feedback and experiences … Best regards and many thanks in advance Riccardo
