  • Exhaust gas system for my C1500

Hi! I drive a 88 GMC Sierra, i.e. a C1500. The exhaust system is currently 2.5 inch. The exhaust system is an original cat and a Borla rear silencer. The tailpipe goes out over the hinerax and then sideways behind’m tire. My concern: You hear too little V8 So the Borla rear silencer apparently swallows a lot of sound. So it should be gone. It is important that I can drive with what I underbuild also well longer highway routes without getting deaf. But it is supposed to be scho In the stand you don’t hear anything at the moment and otherwise it doesn’t sound so bubbling. 1. Does it bring something in the course of the conversion to 3 inches? So I don’t think in terms of performance, but tonal? 2. It should be a system, which from the rear silencer then becomes double floody with two tailpipes straight out, which rear silencer / already finished kit should/can I take? 3. What do you think of Flowmaster 40s or Super 44 (or so similar) rear silencers? They have been recommended to me. 4. Where would you order what you recommend to me? So let’s hear thank you & greeting, Luke.

  • Buick Park Avenue

Hi Folks, bad news from the Buick front. My PA stopped and didn’t jump any more. Diagnosis in the workshop : all 6 cylinders full of water. Water in the oil and oil in the water. There were no signs before. Probably it is more than just the head gasket. Does anyone else have a motor that doesn’t have too much down ? frustrated greetings Mike

  • A604 Chrysler transmission

Who knows the susceptible A604 transmission closer? My converter bridge opens up somehow too late, when switching up without kickdown – so easy acceleration he then often blows in with force the next gear and when braking at the traffic light he pushes even further, so that you have to brake more. Had even almost strangled the engine, but then he caught up again and opened the lockup. Unfortunately I don’t know exactly where to look…. ydraulik/Ventile? Gear oil and filters are already new, oil level also fits, old oil was a bit darker but ok.

  • Big Blocks

Hi guys I’m interested in whether it’s also big blocks with relatively little hp, so say it was about 150 hp, the nirmal wise think you have 6 liters and 8 zelynders that certainly have 400hp. So if you know a big block with less than 200hp would be nice if you could tell me how this is called or fills a link to it or in which cars it is installed or was. It can also be quiet cars from 40 years ago or so. Already in advance many thanks for your answer n.

  • Is that cheating or am I a jerk?!

Hello dear community, I bought a Chrysler Pacifica last year in February. According to the letter from the dealer, the first registration date is 21.10.05. According to Carfax.com (is a database where all events are recorded to the car like accidents etc. via chassis number) my car was registered for the first time on 21.08.04 in Florida. By chance on the portal and was just curious…… If you can confirm this to me now you can see me tomorrow on the front page of the B Ildzeitung admiring. Greetings Oliver

  • Which carburetor would you recommend to me?

Hello, which carburetor would you recommend to me for a 327 Chevy? At the moment is a noble brock 1407 750cui on it. Since the old noble brock is a bit siffy, the choke is missing and also something leaking is I decided to buy a new one. Should I take another 750 or is the 600 better for the engine? The car is mainly intended for cruising, however, should also enough power be available to bring the tires to smoke or nen golf prolo on the A http://home.arcor.de/shortys-bude2/impala/

  • Air filter open / closed Advantages and disadvantages

Unfortunately (yet) I am not in possession of a US car, but I have already asked a question about the air filter topic in advance. What advantages and disadvantages do open or closed air filters have? (sometimes apart from the optics) When searching through the forum, I came across information that it has influences – on the sound – on the consumption – on the power – on the life of the engine. For example, someone wrote that through an open air filter increasingly attracted the warm air of the engine compartment n will, which probably should not be so positive. Above all own experiences are helpful. Consumption change, sound, performance behavior, engine damage etc. Note: If the topic has already been dealt with in a different thread (but which I did not find), then someone can give me the link too.
