Hello, I own a W123 280 TE. This was rebuilt in 2000 from several vehicles. Carrosserie, interior equipment in absolute good condition. The engine had licked oil, I had it now for the exchange of all seals in the workshop. Now it was established that the engine probably has a bigger, damage. I play with the thought to invest in an exchange engine, as the rest of the vehicle is as said absolutely worthy of maintenance. My question also in knowledge of the high fuel consumption of the 280 engine: – Can one convert from the petroler to diesel: if yes: has someone experience with it: which engine, cost? – Could one also integrate in the 123er engines of the new generation ? if yes: which ? Cost? Thank you I would be pleased if only answers to the topic were made and no fundamental discussion about such an exchange comes up…

Dear community, I have a problem. I’m 21 years old and try to get a buddy to a 123er. It’s a W123 200 from 1978 with 94hp. The vehicle was 10-12 years old and I got it for little money. 3 weeks ago we renewed fuel lines, made oil changes etc. and in the end the car to run. First the car ran in idle, but the engine went out, at least at the beginning again. This week we wanted to continue with gearboxes, brakes etc. and have got stuck that the Mercedes no longer starts. The fuel comes to the carburetor and then probably no longer into the intake tract. Well, we both have little idea of carburetors and have first expanded, cleaned and re-installed it. Unfortunately, the good guy still doesn’t jump on. Does any of you have any idea what that might be, or what you have to pay attention to? We’re guessless. It’s a Stromberg 175 CD. Happy good evening dear old-timer friends! With my W115 my previous owner had car tires stored on the seats (this criminal). Now I have the problem that there are black spots and I absolutely can’t clean them away. I’m also not sure whether it’s genuine leather or artificial leather. Hello, there is a 123er 230 CE from 1985 for sale, 170,000 km. Another good year TÜV. Unfortunately it was closed out for half a year. Disk inside wet (sliding roof leaks), seats, steering wheel etc starts to mold. Otherwise see pictures. Can such a car be worthwhile at all or where is one located there price? Or rather let it be?

Moin people, I have a question about 123. I have a 200 that I drive once or twice a week. I noticed that when I drive the first minutes after the start, the car has a kind of jerking in the first and especially in the second gear.
