Moin Moin, on the other hand, I hope that you can bring light into the dark. 🙂 We have fulfilled our dream of a tin monster and bought a 70s Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupé <3 ... JUHUUUU .... :-) However, I am confused with the insurance history and I would be very grateful for information and advice. He has an H approval and 300hp, 5,7l. We vary between liability and comprehensive (wg. vandalism) ... he does not (yet) have a valuation report. We are also ready a thaler meh r to pay if the insurance pays in case of damage without egg dancing. What are your experiences and where have you insured yours? Thank you already ;-)

Problem with vehicle purchase overseas
Good evening together. After a long search I finally discovered the right car in Canada. For a long time I have been in contact with a company which handles imports from Canada and the USA and a person on site has checked the vehicle. After research on the net and from our conversations the boss seems to be competent, sympathetic and serious. I immediately wrote to him when I discovered the car, since other vehicles I had favored partly in I have the carproof (Canadian carfax) and the warranty history. The car seems to be tip top. Now to my actual question. He wanted to make a deposit from me so that he would make a deposit in Canada (seller there is a carhouse) so that the car is not gone. Said. The next day he then asked me to pay the full purchase amount on to transfer his account in Canada, because after 7 working days the deposit would expire at the car dealership there, unless the seller received the full amount. About his deposit there I have a receipt both from the car dealership as well as his receipt. So it has been made. The inserate of the vehicle has been deleted from the dealer’s homepage and at autotrader it is written that it has been sold. So that’s all actually happened. However, I have great skepticism and belly pain To transfer the full amount to Canada without holding anything in hand. Say, no invoice or purchase contract. I have heard the complete advance payment is not unusual, but for me as a businessman it is unimaginable to send such a sum simply with blind trust abroad. How do you see the matter? Thank you!

Weak lighting instruments
N’abend, a well-known problem. I renewed the Dimm switch (the resistance spring was broken), but it wasn’t. I pulled the light bulbs out of the tachometer today, but surprisingly they all look good. Tested as a standlight and each works. Since it is GE 194, these seem to have 4W. Now you could certainly turn in here used 5W and it would be a bit brighter, if necessary, but this is not an adequate solution of the P roblems. I think the idea is what the cause is. At the back of the tacho I could see a foil – does the mglw. have an influence on the brightness? What is the purpose of this, except to provide the contact surfaces? Edit: I have read that sometimes the mass connection of the cluster is also to be blamed, since it probably only takes place via the screws. Best regards.

Cop-car….
On Monday morning on the A7 between Hanover and Hildesheim, a cop car overtook me…… (approx. 0.30 am) I was thinking of a mirage, but after I activated the main light of my truck, it became clear that I had not dreamed of the car…….. my light hoop was answered with a short but very impressive beacon in yellow………. awesome… just awesome…… that’s what I still lack for the living room If the driver of the car is here in the forum, it would be a pleasure for me if he could recognize himself…. I would like to see the car in daylight….. *new greedy Neumann*

How does a mouse get into the sky?
A baby-blue 1975 Lincoln… under 12,000 miles “like new”… “Just under 12,000 miles. Most of the car is like new. A couple small holes in headliner from mice. A piece of trim is broken off back. It has been sitting in storage for most of its life. Runs but not great. Needs to be driven.” (Note: Aha, damage to standing goes away by just driving…) But what would interest me: How do mice actually get to the roof sky? I thought they were eating upholstery and carpets. ?

MANTA!
Moin Leutz, a few little questions, since I’m thinking about getting a manta and I don’t really have much idea about the car….. probably comes from the call, but that’s exactly why I think it’s right now….egal; would be very grateful for a few answers: What does a manta cost in insurance? What does it cost in taxes? Is it quite reliable? What does it consume?

W123 Hose from brake fluid tank to clutch encoder
I want / have to change the brake fluid hose that runs from the brake fluid tank to the clutch encoder. Does anyone know the exact size of the inner diameter? Why always, you often only find the blue hoses. Does it look a bit stupid in the engine compartment. Do you know a supplier who has black ones? Thanks for your help and a nice Sunday

W123 Water pump which shaft diameter
I need a new water pump for my W123 200D OM615 Built 04/79. When selecting the dealers, I will be shown the appropriate wapu after entering the vehicle data (HSN and TSN). These have different shaft diameters. Which ones are shown with 30mm and others have 36mm. Which size is the right one? Do you have an explanation for this? Thank you and best regards

Start M110 after long service life
Hello together, I bought my C123 280CE automatic as a restoration project, I’m pretty new in the oldtimer game The stand has been around for a good few years and wants to get it to run again. The engine is supposed to be absolutely undemanding and robust, but just want to be safe at the start and do not make any faxes. So can I start it without problems after a few years of service life or should you rather take a few steps? (: Many greetings Noel

Tank magnification
I have a 200D W123 with EZ 1983. Since I want to renew the tank because of rust inside, the question arises here, if I can install one with 80l instead of the existing 65l tank in this context. The 80l tank was probably available from 240er. Does this fit? Who can provide information?
