Dear community of forums, I drive a Ford Explorer with joy and passion, which is slowly getting a bit old. At the moment, I am thinking about swapping the old Explorer for a newer one and accidentally stumbled over the expedition during my search. Since I do not know this real, but only from the net, I have a few questions. a. Is the loading area (case space) significantly larger than the Explorer? b. Does the passenger cell have even more space for the occupants? c. W he is about the additional costs of the 5.4 L V8 compared to the 4.0L V6? But how much does that matter? Are there any comparison values (consumption per 100km) or experiences of forum members? Are there any other comments, what I should know about the difference Explorer / Expedition and perhaps have overlooked in the net? Thank you, best regards Stefan

1/4 mile race, worth weight reduction?
Is it worth it at nem GT500 (2014er, Semislicks, 756hp) for the 1/4 mile race to reduce the weight of the vehicle? Things like back seat, subwoofer, floor mats, flushing water out? So everything that is very easy to expand. Forget anything else? Or am I just strengthening the traction problem of the GT500 when starting up? What brings about 50KG (this weighs all the above mentioned junk estimated) less time? I would like to create a 11er time and if ne 11.99 is. u and looking for solutions.

Dodge Challenger V6 Rally Redline Year 2013
Hello together, I have to get the above car. But now this is my first contact with an Ami car. Otherwise I have always driven only BMW or VW. Can anyone give me here tips for such a vehicle? Is there more to count on the replacement of wear parts? And how is the mileage of such a car. Not that I get this splendour piece and it gives up the mind at 80,000 km. For the information, this is probably strong of the respective I would say to myself that I am a rather quieter driver, with the best regards Alex

Battery charger with WIFI – I am looking forward to product suggestions
Hello dear forists and interested professionals! I just wanted to buy a battery maintenance loader to prevent the batteries from perishing a little over the winter with the resting sweethearts. The market of maintenance loaders is large and confusing. There are brands like Cetek, which are omnipresent in the advertising, while looking closely and reading the product reviews rather of modest quality at high price. One of my central wishes was a WiFi connection of the charging system. The batteries are supposed to tell their traffic jams via the browser or app. Since I found this in the present time an obvious function, I searched for such a device, but found nothing on the European market. In the USA there are two devices, one of Deltran (manufacturer of the well-known Battery Tender devices) and one of DieHard (old-established manufacturer of car batteries) The Deltran works rather unreliable according to tests on YouTube, but works with 110 and 230V. The device from DieHard makes a much better impression, but runs only on 110V. Of course, you could operate it with a voltage converter. I would have no problem with this, but wanted to ask in the round whether anyone can recommend a smart maintenance loader with WiFi connectivity on the European market. I find it almost curious that such a product does not seem to have arrived on the European market yet. I am looking forward to tips and if necessary experience.

Buick engine power increase
Hello, I’ve got a 5.7 liter Buick engine from 1972 in my car. I’ve got a noble rock carburetor on it now and I’ve noticed that this has already done a lot, performance. However, the engine is only 8.5:1 compacted. A buddy said it doesn’t do much, since headers and a different suction spider are on it, because the engine is so low compacted. What’s your opinion? It’s supposed to be a TA performance bridge and also headers from TA. I just wanted to make something as simple as possible, oh to have to disassemble half the engine as it is still in a very good condition. Thank you for your answers Felix

XT5: Who has driven him already???
Hello, we are currently driving a 2016 VW Touareg 3.0 V6 TDI. Since we are following the “diesel discussion” attentively and do not want to believe (more) the promises of the manufacturers, the next car will become a gasoline engine. Now we are looking for an SUV that offers comparable space conditions in the interior / case room. Really well done is the back bench at the Touareg – neat space and also a tiltable backrest. We do not like the air suspension, even in the “sports- As alternatives we thought of: – the Cadillac XT5 …. someone already has experience with the space conditions and the chassis ??? space for 4-persons ? chassis relatively sporty or rather indirect/comfortable ?? consumption ? (at 40 km per day and of which about 50% in the city.) Alternatively we thought of: Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 or 5.7 Summit Maserati Levante S Who can do something about the XT5 sa ???

The new one on the search
Hi, together, my name is Sven, I am 45 years old, I live in the middle of the Swabian forest and want to fulfill the dream of a fun car from American production. Unfortunately, I have no idea about it. Above all, I don’t know if I can get something reasonable for my budget. I’m not a screwdriver and even if I didn’t have the opportunity to set up a screwdriver garage. For this there is a stone’s throw away a dealer/workshop specializing in US cars. I would like to spend a maximum of 2000€. If it were an ultimate bargain for 22000 it would also be OK. As far as the manufacturer and model are concerned, I am quite open. It should have been made in the 70s and have a V8 with nice sound. Capacity is clearly ahead of performance, I would like to bubbling only in cruise mode over the country roads. It may be more sporty (Corvette C3) or a classic road cruiser. What I do not want is a craft shop or a craft shop. Groschengrab, which I am of course aware of with such old cars after all a lot of money for maintenance/reperatures dies. But it would be nice if with high probability you can drive the first 1 to 2 years relatively carefree. An H-mark would be mandatory. Long speech short sense, which models come into question. What should one look for and does this with the budget at all a prospect of success? Following a list with models that I would like purely optically: Co rvette C3 Buick Riviera (GS 1972) Buick Le Sabre Buick Skylark Buick electricra 225 Chevrolet Impala Chevrolet Caprice Chevrolet CHEVELLE 5 Chevrolet Camaro Chrysler Imperial Crown Chrysler 300 Hardtop Coupe Chrysler Newport Convertible Thanks for your support.

Rugging at 80-90kmh in the last gear GMT800 Escalade
Servus, I have recently been a jerk at 80-100 kmh. It’s quite violent, it feels like ignition dropouts. A vibration of tires or so it can’t be, you can clearly feel the jerking and every passenger also. This only occurs in the last gear. It can actually always be reproduced. I accelerate gently from 70 to 80/90 kmh, so that he stays in 4. Then he starts to jerk at about 80kmh. I walk off the gas stops the jerking immediately. From 100kmh approx. the whole nic occurs. If I accelerate more so that it goes into the 3, this problem does not occur. I then let it switch at about 100 everything is good. Since I thought that this is related to the ignition, I changed candles and cables. Without success. I have currently no idea what this can be about.

Valves set at 1941 Pontiac 8 cylinder Flathead
Moin, I have a 1941 Pontiac Torpedo with 8 cylinder inline engine Flathead. How do I adjust the valves with this engine? Valve play is known: between 0,011 – 0,013 inches, i.e. approx. 0.3 mm. Question: does this have to be with running engine? There is really little space and it gets abundantly hot in the crusher area. Or is this also possible with standing motor, where I can also remove the cracker? With the beetle, for example, you turn the engine on the corresponding cylinder and can then adjust it by sensor gauge Is there such a thing for this engine? If distributor on cylinder 1, then outlet cylinder X and inlet cylinder Y or something similar?? In the shop manual only the distance but not like… Thank you in advance! Greeting Gisel
