Hoi, I don’t know if I’m right here in the US-Car Forum, if not, then deletes or shifts the thread again. BTT: 2 buddies and I (all 3 18) plan a small U.S. tour after the Abi. Where can you get a rental car in NY, which can be returned: 1) in Chicago 2) where you can enter “additional drivers”. Nationalcar and Alamo have unfortunately no prices for “additional drivers” in the form. Maybe one of you has had experiences there? at Her tz you can’t add an additional number to 21. Avis is much more expensive than the others Has anyone ever rented a car at Rent-a-wreck? oh yes, one of my buddies is 2m and luggage has to come in, so the very small ones (Spark…ugh) fall away. We know that under 21 will be more expensive, but actually there should be something to find. Thanks

NRW, Lower Saxony and Ba-Wü create H-marks for cars over 5 liters of displacement
These three federal states with green government participation have today jointly decided not to issue H-marks for cars over 4999 cm3 in their jurisdiction and to collect already issued H-marks from Tuesday. The green Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann, who already made speeches by quoting “Less cars are better than more”, said about the reason:”The H-mark is intended to promote and protect automotive cultural property. By this car were meant like beetles, 2 CV u nd Fiat Toppolino. In no case do we want to see automobile monsters from the USA with 6 or 7 liters of displacement, which have never been home here in Europe anyway. The CO2 emissions of these cars simply no longer match the climate protection targets that the governments of NRW, Niedersachen and Baden-Württemberg have set themselves.” Kretschmann could not answer the question of a journalist, whether this should also apply to the Mercedes 600 or Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3. ng: I think it’s a huge mess, but fortunately I’m not affected (residential home of Bavaria).

JC Whitney Shipping costs
Hello, At JC Whitney I will be forwarded to pay on a page called bongus. so far – so good. Can anyone here tell me at what level the shipping costs to D are about? …shows nothing. And the shipping cost calculator on the homepage of which shows at 15kg approx. 350 dollars shipping costs (at 250 dollars commodity value) and that is probably outrageous!

Beginner’s question 😉 Applying lubricating nipples / grease press
Moin people, I just wanted to supply the lubricating nipples with some grease in my “new” Camaro 2nd generation. I now also have Pressol’s grease press with flexible hose, but if I put it on I can’t fix it. So I need three hands to press on the adapter, hold the press and use the lever. Is that normal? Do I need a different size? Thank you for your help!

Gen Camaro 67-69
Hello, I’m playing with the thought of getting a Camaro (1st gene). I’ve been looking for a while, but I haven’t found the right vehicle yet. My price limit is about 25,000 €. I’ve already searched a few pages on the net and I’ve come across this chic model. Link:Camaro What do you think of the Camaro? In my opinion it’s in very good condition and the price is reasonable. Maybe you can also give me more Hä and tell me what to pay attention to when buying. Thank you very much.

New drums behind – pedal vibrates while braking
Day! I replaced the wheels and pads in the front and a few days later in the back. So wheel brake cylinders, cheeks and drums. As the parts for the rear came later I drove about 200km with the new front brakes and everything was ok. Now I renewed everything in the back and new brake fluidity is also inside. The car never braked as nice as now in my possession, however, the pedal vibrates when I brake at a higher speed. At 50 – 60km/h it feels normal. For example, on the AB of 120 I feel the vibrations in the pedal. Whether coming from the front or from the rear I can’t locate from the feeling, but since it only came with the new drum brakes I assume that the error can be found there. What do you think about it? Should I put the cheeks even further back or what? EDIT: It’s the drums: When I step on the park brake also vibrates. In addition, there are speed vibrations due to imbalance from the rear at high highway. are by the way AC Delco drums. Made in China.

Code 42 on the 90′ Buick shelf
Hello. Today I turned off the codes on a 90s Buick shelf (code 42) because the vehicle runs round and gives something “hangs” when the gas is running. Code 42: The EST signal did not change when the ECM applied baypass voltage to the registration module. No real impulse from the ignition module !? Or even cable tree ? – rev indicator does not work either. Now the following has been changed without success on the car: ~ ignition cable + candles ~ ignition coil ~ ignition module What can it be or how does it work? s problem. A trip over 120 km I would hate to trust the car I am very grateful for any help !!!

No return to the Rochester carburetor?
Hi guys! I had a Holley carburetor on my 350 Chevy SB. But I want to build a Rochester Quadrajet on it. I’ve already had one mounted, but it pissed from all holes. I guess that’s because I couldn’t clamp back, because there’s no connection. I measured the petrol pressure of the electric gasoline pump today, but the cure only shows about 0.1 bar, but that can’t be, can it? I will try tomorrow to see if it works, if I put a T-piece between it, so that I go right behind the carburetor back to the back. I only hope that the pressure is enough to fill the float chamber. I am open for better ideas! MfG Achja the carburetor has the number 70282820 630 According to the decoder, he should be year 1968.

Corvette C4 buys, problems with dealers
Today I had a C4 test drive, Bj 1984, allegedly only 89,000Mls and accident-free, as well as in technically impeccable condition, at least according to the dealer. The first thing that surprised me was that I had to show the cash before the test drive, well, I really wanted to have it. On the test drive I noticed strange noises and indefinable vibrations on the underbody and on the gearbox that I could not at first, during the ride everything was normal and the engine I started a cavallier at some point (brake, full throttle, brake on), there was a jerk and a bang and the engine was out. He also didn’t let himself start, the starter only roared. Shortly after that oil ran out under the car. The TCS then dragged me back to the dealer, there we saw that the wave tunnel (or what it means) has a long crack and a hole. The mechanic said the drive shaft they broke. Now the dealer (don’t know what I’ve done, I just said I gave full throttle once) demands that I either buy the vehicle for CHF 12,000 or pay for the repair of CHF 5,000. I think it is an already existing defect, or a defect in the initial stage and I don’t pay anything. Can the dealer demand such a thing after a test drive? How can it be that the drive shaft breaks?? Info for readers: The Corvette has a train nsaxle, the gearbox sits in the rear axle and is connected to the engine with a shaft in a closed tunnel, apparently filled with oil, so the motor force is fully on the shaft because the converter is also located in the rear…
