Hello guys, since finally after engine repair my 75s cadillac eldorado 8.2l runs again the first time, after the first run in the stand a kind of “folding” or “”beat”” in the area where the ignition distributor is located or behind the water pump noticed. Does anyone have an idea what that could be? With a short video where you can see it when you listen closely. Greetings Marcel

Pontiac Firebird 2.8L V6 1989 – what are the vulnerabilities?
Hello! I have a Pontiac Firebird 2.8L V6 with year 1989, wanted to ask what I have to pay attention to before the purchase – what are its typical flaws, flaws or defects? Rost is already clear to me … And what about the spare parts supply … there is something else? Would be great if you could give me some tips. Best regards, Stefan

Consumption
Hello, had asked me some time ago about a Pontiac Firebird or Trans Am. Was with my father with some Firebird owners and must say that the car is still great. All that displeases me and also my father is the high fuel consumption!!! Is there no chance to reduce it somehow. My father meant you can install another engine, does it all ? and is it advisable to do so ? Thanks schopnmal for your help.

Which US car makes the quarter mile in 10,.. sec?
Hi, I just saw The Fast and the Furios. Almost all the Japanese cars and the magic number is a 10s time on the 1/4mile. Now I wondered which Ami would you choose and do as cheaply as possible and especially how he can make a 10s. On the C&F Race Days were as far as I remember correctly only a Polo2 VR6 Turbo with approx. 350Ps and a Schweitzer Ami (AMC Javelin 650Ps) able to drive high 10s times. But the Javelin was not a road So how expensive is it to be able to drive with normal petrol in the city so fast and which would be your favorite? And would you build a new car or buy a good one? Greetings einsachturbo

G20 cheaper than my old polo?
At the moment I’m driving an old Polo Coupe, but it’s getting more and more jammed. So I’m thinking about my second car. My dream car is a Chevi G20 with seven seats and bed and the car gas refuels. Well for a 19-year-old, that certainly sounds utopian to mine at least my parents. I think that a G20 could be cheaper than my Polo. I pay 150€ taxes and 440€ liability and the insurance does not run over me. If you consider the car 500€ This is a very bad price performance ratio. In addition, my car needs quite a lot of fuel. With normal driving mode about 10 liters to 100 km only gasoline and no super. But unfortunately the fuel prices increase always further I thought so when I drive a G20 I pay 180€ taxes. The insurance should not be so high if I run it again over my parents. If I then install an LPG system for 2000€ and always And my second question is how do I convince my parents. They think the car is too big for me (my first drive after getting the driver’s license was 150 km in Chrysler Voyager) Then the argument comes UN ECONOMICLY. Too uncertain. Well, such arguments stop.

what meeting in Hanover????
Hi Leutz, every year the big Ami meeting takes place in Hanover on the Schützenplatz… this year it seems to be TWO meetings. One on the Schützenplatz on 07/08 August and one a week before on 31.07/01/08 on the Expo area. The organizer of the Expo area told me that a partner broke up with you at the beginning of the year and therefore they set up their own – they expect at least as much Americans as at Schützenplatzzeiten and would also have In the local press, the Expo meeting is described as a former shooting site meeting. … the organizer of the Schützenplatz told me I should not listen to it – “there’s one who just wants to copy” … tja, wat nu???? At the moment, I don’t know which meeting will be the more successful – after all, I don’t want to be on an almost empty place!! That would be all the more stupid, since a good friend with her mustang (from Cologne) come to Hanover möc hte. … what does it look like – which meeting are you going to??? until then – Mike

Oil pressure and noise
Hello Together would like to introduce me briefly. My is Peter and I actually come out of the boat forum. There, however, I can not really help with my problem. In my boat I have built an old GM 6 cylinder Inline 4.2 liter, 165 Ps. I bought the engine with bearing damage and repaired it again. Now I have the following problem. 1. Oil pressure in idle (700 rpm) changes between 1 and 2 bar. at 4000 rpm max 3 bar. I have 1 bar in idle, then I like r 2 bar. is that actually ok ? 2. In idle one hears a quiet tackern in the area of the 6 cylinder, but only if oil pressure has 1 bar. If oil pressure in idle run higher then tacker away. This tackern has been there from the beginning, but never noticed (already listen to video of trial run). After about 30 hours of boat operation it has occurred to us with open engine cover. Does anyone have an idea what that could be ? warm greetings Peter

I need information…
Hello dear community, I would like to change the engine and transmission oils from my 5,7L (350cui) and the THM350 and would like to know the approximate filling quantities so that I don’t order unnecessarily a lot of oil. And which oils would you recommend to me? Motor oil = 10W-40? Gear oil = ATF3? Haven’t changed oils on my Camaro yet, how do I change gear oil? Where do I leave off and where do I fill up again? How can I get to the filter? pecial procedure? And still ne gaaananz stupid question: I can’t find a filling nozzle for filling the engine oil… Could someone please give me a quick guide on the correct working method? Thank you…

Dodge Charger
I drove to Lüdenscheid yesterday and looked at this charger. http://www.mobile.de/cgi-bin/da.pl?id=111111140985525 The guy came back from England with a Chevelle SS, that’s exactly right. I looked at the chargers. HAMMERAUTO. There are some rust spots, there is no original tank in it and also paint is no longer top. Besides, everything is missing except on the engine, for example in the engine compartment. T. But the engine runs all the more horny with sharp camshaftv (according to the salesman) The guy threw the car at once… boah I got pippi in the eyes… and since the sound came out of the engine without pots, I also got into my pants. So I didn’t hear anything like that in my whole life! What makes me stubborn though is that this Charger has a 69 front, but 68 rear lights. So immediately I didn’t have under the car on the chassis but he looked quite fit! Does someone know this car and can possibly say something more about it?

Firebird consumption
Aloha, I asked a lot about the Firebird some time ago. Luckily my dad gave me a Firebird, looks really great and drives himself great. Only my problem is that I can mostly only drive half of the month because I have no money for fuel after that. Is there a GARKEINE way to screw down the consumption something ? Thanks schonmla for the answers. And answers like: Either you drive the car like this or not at all people can save themselves Thank you.
