since I have nothing on my hat with paint and varnish, I would need your experiences in matt lacquer. I am hard to think if I don’t completely miss a “dunkles” design for my old man…. how is that for matt lacquer…. what preparations are needed for “under” the paint? how is the paint applied? how is the paint applied? how should you treat this paint after painting? how does it look like with the cost of….more or less than a normal paint? questions about f tower… I’m grateful for every tip would also be happy about pictures that show cars with matt lacquer…

U.S. registration notice
Hi! Police has put an understanding of an ad under the windscreen wipers with the note “foreign registration number” Meaning is an imitation US registration number at the rear which however has neither reflected nor a vignette. It is also made of plastic. Does anyone have experience with it? Does it make sense to complain about it or not? LG, Eric

Guys, I need HELP please
Hey guys, uh, I need your help, I just stepped on this page and I have the following question. I’ve been living in the usa for almost 6 months now and in 5 months I’m going to come back to Germany, I have a Mitsubishi eclipse 1995, my host dad, if I would buy it, I could have it for 2000dollars. I thought that’s pretty cheap in contrast to deutshland. I found a shipping company that will take about 800dollars includi ng insurance. But here comes my problem: will the car be registered in Germany? I telephoned with a guy who probably made it his profession, and who meant to let the car and pay everything in a fair way between 2 and 3 thousand euro. Is that right?? I have read an article here saying that you have to pay 10 and 16 percent taxes or customs and import fees or so. I was really grateful for help, would you like to do that? If it is not so complicated and precious then I would also do it myself without a company just want 3000 euro for tutv acceptance exhaust undercover etc.. Still something to the car, so it is not fixed up tuned or what you say here. It is in the original condition, only the small us mirrows and the rear lights are going through rod, whether that is in deutshland so I don’t know about the eclipses. Once again, thanks for helping) Philly

How often the same…Ford SB Overheating
Yesterday we got a 351 C Cleveland engine out of the ’72 Mustang….he let himself no matter how not set up… always on the ballern again..and with it a heat problem. Since the engine was newly revidert in the USA we had already a suspicion….and….has confirmed. As said…2 problems…hot and balers. Ballers was clear when we tried to lower the Rocker Arms. The heads were converted to Studs and had RollerRocker. After we had the Poly Locks down we tried to get the rockers down what but tool needed….when they were down was clear: too little wind, the half moons stuck on the SChulters of the Rocker Studs..is when you loosened the polylock the Rocker arm remained tight. Well that was one…then heads down…and look there: the first was a pass sleeve so that the head slipped down one side when it was released…at BBC it can hurt quite a lot when the heads fall down…and then the reason for the over heating: An illiterate did not read the “front” on the seal so that the cooling opening “front” was at the back…. Well, once disintegrate clean, after-heart, new rings and other rocker arms and then he should run again

C4 does not start
Hello Corvette Freunde, A good friend of mine bought a C4 Corvette from 1991 with the l98 engine. Short pre-layer, the C4 was turned off 4 years ago (driving), last week we picked you up, did not jump on, starter turns quite normal. Today we examined the C4 together and determined the following things: Fuel pump runs at the front on the “force-off pressure tube” is properly pressure available fuses i.o. Security lamp goes off Zur Sp ule kommen 12V NO ZünDFUNKE DÜSEN ÖFFNEN NON RPM does not beat out when starting Error memory code C16 (according to various forums normal if the engine is not running) Can maybe anyone tell me where the C4 gets the signal for ignition / injection or speed? Or is there a clue where I could look further? Would really be very grateful for any tip. Greetings from Vienna

DOT headlamps
Hello together. My stang is from 2006 and logically US import. The previous owner has installed here accessory headlights with LED daytime running light and lens headlights. They even have a DOT number. In the car bill is however a different DOT number entered. Those of the original. According to net the originals are not produced. For original. Rest posts are called up to 500 Euro per piece. What says the TÜV, race line to the constructions in relation to “in about effect”? Is it possible to register the current DOT number? Who knows about this?

Expedition 5.4 consumes more water than fuel
Hello, I’m a typical TDI boy. I have an expedition in South America. He started to consume some water. But he had to go on. On the return trip he then swallowed 44 l on 160 km. I just came to the workshop. Oil and cooling water look very good. Everything seems to have been burned / evaporated. Now he is in the workshop and both heads are down. In this train, the workshop wants to change the gear, water and oil pump. Is that necessary? The work there doesn’t cost much. I’m only concerned about whether something bigger can happen and how high the probability is that one of the pumps goes hops. I wouldn’t even ask the leg of a TDI. My questions now: My son wanted to do a few sound tests of a V8. Then I turned it up a bit in idle mode. I accidentally got 2-3 into a speed range where it banged or “poffed”. Similar to this, if a blowoff valve is on top of it. Can it be because of that? I noticed in general that the engine (engine hood, fenders, etc.) is getting very warm. Must be measured with an infrared thermometer. But you can’t easily leave the blade on it. The color is a bit dark (Eddie Bauer Edition), but it can’t be due to the color. Is this a known problem? I’ve already thought about installing a hood for cooling (as with the sports vehicles). Thank you! Greetings Lexenlewax

FoMoCo Panther – Collectable thread – Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis/Town Car
So, here’s the Lincoln Town Car collection thread for all who own a Town Car of the years 1990 – 1997. This forum is meant to bring people together, so you can talk about problems/repairs and related solutions and help each other. – you can support each other in finding cheap repair parts. – and much more… Once the first members are in the thread, it would be nice if everyone had a picture of their Town Car pos LG ToniEdit by Dynamix: Due to the positive resonance of this thread and the fact that Panthers are enjoying increasing popularity here, I have made the Lincoln Town Car Collectable Thread a general Panther collectible thread. May it continue to be a collection point for friends of the Panther platform and a point of attraction for those interested in the last Body on Frame car. To be American production!
