Hello dear US driver. I unfortunately have one of my STS bj. 99 battles, after he has tried to leave a concrete lantern I wanted to repair it but the parts are too expensive even as GM employees. Economical total damage… Airbags beltstraffer and co are whole. Betrofen is the front construction. Who you parts just need to tell everything worked. Even a garage door opener has the unfortunately I did not run an automatic garage door … Motor 4.6L 200.000 km . My number: 015122025013 I’m still taking some pictures… Greetings SamyDude

  • Service – Machine – Oil change – Cadillac Seville STS 2000

Good day, In order to carry out the oil drain, the oil refill at the Cadillac machine professionally, we need the detailed instructions of Cadillac-Detroit. Also the drawings – schemas to it. Where can we request these ? Can you describe us how we have to proceed with this service oil change. That would be great. By the way, thank you for correct notification of the error code that the brake pads were to be renewed – brake lining was only 2 mm. Thanks for your answer. C hrChe

  • US import general questions

Hello, I hope I’m right here in the US car forum, I’d like to know how much an import from the USA (California) to Germany costs so let’s say the car costs 15-18T dollars what do I have to calculate so how much customs and VAT fall on who picks up the car from the dealer in L.A.? Isn’t it possibly cheaper to transfer the car to the Netherlands and pick it up from there.

  • Problem with Dodge Viper GTS

Hello the gentlemen! Just registered here and wanted to ask for help. I had to scream away for half an hour because a 2L V6 wants to be built into a Viper and before that wanted to drive car without oil etc…… horny answers and absolutely ready for stage! X-D I hope you don’t think I’m a complete idiot! I’m a fireman in civil service status in the future and still work on 400€ basis. My dream for the summer is a Viper GTS Bj. 2002! I earn approx. 250€ net have a small apartment and not too much expenditure overall. I have saved a lot, so could easily buy one and also maintenance costs like fuel, maintenance/maintenance and car tax would be no problem. I find however no insurance that this vehicle insured at moderate prices! According to my knowledge there are only three insurances that insure this car in Germany and even then pay from 10000,-€ upwards in the year! The Corvette Z06 can even be insured with the HUK and it also has seven liters of capacity and over 500hp, would cost in my circumstances even only 500€ in the season!!! That can’t be true that my biggest dream of the insurance fails… 🙁 Please help me, maybe also well covered those who drive/driving a Viper themselves h and can tell me what possibilities there are or what they’ve tried… thank you guys!

  • Central locking at the 2013 Mustang

Hello, I’m on my way with a current Ford Mustang car rental in Florida and have a question about the central locking. If I lock with the remote control, then both doors are locked. But if I unlock only the driver’s door is unlocked. I always have to unlock the passenger’s door from the inside via the button at the door. Can you set this somewhere that both doors are unlocked with the remote control? Sunny greetings!

  • Information panel in the car window for curious passers-by?

When I park my car, I notice passersby who are interested in looking at it from all sides and of course often have no idea what kind of car it is. “Is this a Cadillac?” is the most common question in addition to the mandatory question about consumption. I have already thought about hanging an information panel in the window – similar to the museum – with essential data about the year of construction, type, cylinder, cylinder capacity etc. What do you think about it?

  • Please delete – Cadillac CTS St. W. Experience wanted….

Since over short or long our station wagon will be replaced – or it will be time for something else – I looked around so much, what there are just so “smaller” station wagons – and at the same time also on the CTS Station Wagon – which are amazingly cheap to have :O Even if this is not a “traditional” Ami – for the Daily Driver are Xenon, ESP Airbags etc stop obligatory – and maybe a “real” Ami driver here has a CTS as “schnödes” A after B driving car. Ltagsverfahrung interested – maybe also gross inspection costs – spare parts supply is I think yes no topic since Cadillac has an official dt presence? Of course I have read a little test reports – and are actually ok – but everyday experience is in some points something different than Test-1x rides.

  • 4th Gen Camaro V6 as first car

Hello Motor-Talk-Community, Over one and a half years ago I fell in love with the Camaro of the 4th generation. An appealing purchase price, a very nice design in my eyes and typical American sound. Now I have recently finished my training in the trade and get into my professional life. I am 19 years old and am just acquiring my driver’s license. So I am looking for my first car. Now my questions: – Do I actually get a V6 for about 5,000€ maro in a good condition? – Is the maintenance actually as high as many claim? (It’s worth me, I know it certainly won’t be a cheap fun; stay in my mini apartment) – Would you trust the car to a novice? – What tips can you give me on the way? What should I pay attention to? Best regards, Justin

  • Purchase advice: Escalade vs. Navigator

Hello, I hope the topic has landed in the right forum. We are looking for a large and robust third-party car for the holiday. The SUV is driven about 3. – 4.000 KM per year, the consumption is therefore to be neglected. More important to us are at least 4 single seats, a large interior width and (if the 3rd bench is extended) a large trunk. As “every day car” would be enough for us e.g. a VW Touareg/BMW X5, only for the holiday or the large purchase is the trunk too small for us…. “normal” Cadillac Escalade or the Lincoln Navigator noticeably more space??? (length/width) or should you rather take the long version? Who knows about these cars? (It will probably be a model from 2005/2006 – so not the whole new one!) On the paper the Cadillac sounds better: 6.0 instead of 5.4 liters V8, about 40hp more and also a lower consumption – the only PLUS with the Navigator is the German ZF 6-speed automatic…. which unfortunately does not show up with the consumption bem imaginable 🙁 During the 1-2 holidays per year we also drive to Eastern Europe, the cars with dirt roads, bad roads and deep potholes get along well? (It will NOT be the Rally Paris-Dakar – but many holes in the asphalt!) What do you say about Skid-Plate packages? Does a US import make a rust precaution useful? We ask for advice, tips and recommendations of all kinds! PS: Alternatively we might also be interested in a Chrysler Aspen or GMC Yukon Denali XL… but what about the leather, Ho Izdekor and the feel-good factor should Cadillac and Lincoln offer “something more” – or ???
