us importe, customs and control Wouldn’t it be if someone would say something about my questions that is well acquainted with the topic of “import”. So, my questions: 1. Normally customs and VAT apply. Does this apply to new cars and used cars? If I buy a used car here in Germany I don’t have to pay VAT, but what is the result of the new car buyer paying the VAT. So, do I have to pay the VAT even though the car was already registered in the USA? 2. How do you see? from when the car is bought in the USA, registered there… so far so good. This person now transports the car to Germany. In my opinion, this person does not have to pay any customs duty and no VAT as it is their property. Now the person registers the car in Germany. If I buy the car now… do I have to pay VAT then? Actually not, right? VAT is only valid for new goods… Thanks in advance!!!

I found nothing in the search “US import to Switzerland” I have to bring a car from the states to Switzerland before me… On the Zoll.ch webiste I found the following: Customs approaches The customs approaches are the same for used and new PW. They amount (depending on the cylinder capacity and unit weight) between 12.- to Fr. 15.-/100 kg gross. For motorcycles the approach amounts to Fr. 37.-/100 kg gross. From Europe (EU, EFTA, some central and eastern European countries) PW and motorcycles are duty-free if a proof of origin, e.g. EUR 1. Motor vehicle tax The import of passenger cars and certain vans/buses is subject to the automobile tax. The tax rate is 4% of the vehicle value (including customs duty). VAT 7.6% of the vehicle value at the destination in Switzerland (plus customs duty and car tax). Now my calculation: Purchase price 27900$ (Occ. car) Travel to the port 500$ Shipping to DE 1000$ ———————————————————– Total: 29400$ = 28124 Sfr.- (price from 22.12.2010) ——————- ——————- Import to Switzerland: Customs ca.15 Fr.-/100 kg gross Weight Car 1800 Kg Total = 270 Fr.- Import fee 4 % on vehicle value 28124 Fr.- = 1124 Fr.- VAT Switzerland 7.6 % 29518 Fr.- = 2243.40 Fr.- ——————— Total: 3637.40 ————– ——– ——————— I would transfer the car to Switzerland in DE myself. Hello! I bought a part in Canada from private, and it’s on my way to me. As such shipments are rather longer on the road, I like to follow them by means of the tracking number that the seller mailed me. Now my package has a larger round trip through Canada, and now seems to have been in Montreal for 1 week. I guess it’s not there anymore, but it’s already heading towards D. (or already at the “slow” inch) Is there a way the package after handed over I know, actually not really important the whole thing, but you have time, as long as the spring is still waiting for you. If you want to keep tracking the packages to the Germans??? Are the packages basically handed over to DHL?

H allo all together, I want to get a bigger pick up in the near future. I only have a lot of questions to ask, as I don’t have much experience in this area. Look at me quite a lot about which vehicles I like. This includes the Dodge RAM and the F-series from Ford. It will be a used vehicle and will have run up to 150,000km. The size of the engine will definitely be a V8. Year of construction will be between 2008 and 2 013 move. Now to my questions: Are there years of construction/model series that you would exclude due to too many problems ? (Evtl. Also problems that are not visible during a purchase?) Are there possible recommendations, which series are technically best ? How does it look with the engines with the V8 with gas systems ? Are there frequent problems that occur ? Hello must ask again here in the forum. I have a 1960 Oldsmobile Super 88 with a 394 cui. engine. The problem is. When I start it the engine makes a knocking “hard” metallic noise. And then still this ticking noise. So I notice that so. I once made a short video. Maybe someone had such a problem before? I know remote diagnostics are always bad to assess.
