  • It’s supposed to be a Chevy Pick Up! K30 or Blazer!?

Good day, everyone! I’m looking for a Chevy Pick Up and have found a few questions I didn’t answer at the search of the old threads. I hope I didn’t just miss out on it, so I also wanted to turn to your motor community. I dream of a V8 diesel Pick Up like the Blazer or the K30 with the 6.2 machine from the 80s. Since I have no experience in the area of US cars, forgive me any Patzer and I ask for clarification correction. The car should be used both as a truck in the home gardening business, as well as for the small car to scare away and cruise at the weekend. Is there the Blazer with a separated cabin and loading area? Is the loading area of the K30 larger than that of the Blazer?! Can anyone tell me the exact size of both? The loading area should be used both open and with roof. Is there the K30 with a hardtop? Are all hardtops of the Blazer models removable? Can you find in the area of 4000-8000 meter no need of a car? No thank you for having a good drink.

  • “l 82”

Question: Did I call “L82” or not??? Have looked today. The writings are fortunately really fixed with a “bolt” in the moror hood (Hab heuete das Flies abgeschlagt), and not snapped afterwards. Unfortunately I can’t post a photo here that shows this strange plastic part above the cooler. First I thought it was mounted afterwards. When I looked at the bonnet cover, I noticed that it was specially cut out for it. (Boetti and Jürgen2 know which plastic part I mean. Would like to post it here if it was easy!) Funnyly, the redwashed front of the engine goes off (where else you would suspect the water pump at a German engine) and it appeared a blue protective varnish. (Ford I would almost say. I hope I’m wrong!”!!!!!!!!!!!)

  • Cadillac and child seat

Dear US Car Fans Okay, child seat may not be an issue for everyone, but just because we have offspring, I don’t want to exchange my Cadillac sedan deville (1989) for a Golf IV combo. Now the problem: I don’t get a child seat (for 9-18 KG, facing forwards, by Romans) really stable mounted. I think it’s because the US belt is designed differently and really lock up only in the event of an accident. e.g. the belt is not to block – but is probably only with US-Cars(?). In short: I think that the seat would hold somehow in an accident, but it is sitting so shaky during the ride (seat mounted at the rear)………Does any of you have a similar problem and even a solution? Thank you and Gruss Hardo

  • Technical Question 350 Cui Chevy Small Block – 383 Stroker Kit

Hello together, I’m an avid Us fan and recently also proud owner of a 1971 4 dr Sport Sedan Chevrolet Impala! I’m relatively “fresh” here and have some questions. I hope someone can help me. Motor: I now have a 350 small block in it that needs to be completely overhauled. Since everything has to be done I decided to strok it on 383. Has anyone experience with Stroker Kits etc.? Is there any quality and price of any favourite should you buy a complete kit or put the individual parts together yourself? which bridge, heads, carburettor etc. fit together and have a good performance yield? In principle: I want to keep a reasonably quiet idleness as far as possible, but still get out a lot of “smacks “. I would be very happy about answers! Furthermore I am looking for various teíle for my “jump-bock”. Please offer everything!! Also explosion drawings, possibly, broschü , original pictures etc. etc. I am also happy about information such as: identical vehicles/parts, known problems with this model etc. etc. Important is that it is a 4dr sport sedan without B-pillar. Many thanks in advance With kind regards from Bad Tölz in beautiful Bavaria Fabian

  • Installation of additional instruments and questions on donors

Due to the HEI thread from Gedoensrat, I am currently hard to think about whether I am not retrofitting a few additional ads with my Buick. Just to not fully spam the thread from Gedoensrat and to keep a certain clarity, I have now opened my own thread. I would like to retrofit ads for: – Speed – Water temperature – Oil pressure – Volt. Since a few in my circle of acquaintances have had good experiences with VDO, I would like to al I would also like to take the matching encoders/switches from VDO but the first questions come up with me. My 455cui has only one warning display from my factory for water temperature and oil pressure. I would like to keep these. At VDO there are switches that can both display a value and give a warning signal. I found out that the switch for oil pressure a 1/4 inch x 18 Gewin Only what kind of thread the switch has for the water temperature in the suction bridge, I could not find out so far. What I found was an indication 1/2 inch x 14 NPT but if that fits? Maybe one of you knows that. Oil pressure I would take this. Pressure indicator up to 5 bar, warning message if the water temperature sensor is below 0.5 bar. If the size is right for the water temperature sensor of 1/2×14, there is only one variant with warning switch and this one here. Max. display up to 120°C, Warnton from 103°C. The question that arises here is enough for the measuring ranges for the motor? I would install the whole thing in the glove compartment. Where and how exactly, I would only deal with it later. With the schematic for a better overview. Here you can also recognize the two currently installed switches.

  • Error Air Suspension Town Car ́96

Servus 🙂 Since yesterday I have a new town car with the following problem: As long as I am travelling with only one passenger, the car drives perfectly without errors and nothing, over many 100km. As soon as one or two people sit in the rear, “Check Air Suspension” comes in the instrument cluster. Can you give me tips for troubleshooting? The compressor and the air bellows were replaced just three years ago, they should not be through again. Is there a sensor, or yes, there is, of course, but lo Is it possible to clean it somehow? Thank you for your help, Greetings Tim

  • Plus and mass swapped -> Backup OK, but no 12V left on the fuse box

Hello together, I didn’t know where to go with the thread. But think that it fits well here – otherwise please move. I wanted to clamp two W5W bulbs and branch 12V out of the fuse box for this. However, since I didn’t want to cut any cables, I decided to use a flat fuse picker:https://www.amazon.de/s?k=sicherheitsabgriffhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEzI4KFe3Jc&t=63s Now I had picked out a fuse, at which According to the operating instructions (in English) the 20A fuse is responsible for “Real Electrical Center Ignition”. Unfortunately, when wiring plus and mass of the cables I switched from the W5W bulbs, totally stupid… distracted by the telephone. So I connected the plus cable to the ground point of the car body and the ground cable to the fuse grip, switched on the ignition and then of course surprised me that the Lampc I didn’t work … so I saw my mistake and almost fell out of all the clouds. I assumed, of course, that it disassembled the fuse – which was not the case, however. But now there is suddenly no 12V left at the fuse slot. The vehicle starts without problems, no error messages are ejected and apparently everything still works the way it should on board. What did I shoot myself now? I get annoyed at my stupidity. t.

  • 1979 Trans on 7.5 L H Approval ?

Hello, I am about to buy a 1979 Trans on with supposedly original 7.5 liter machine. According to Wikipedia this machine has only been installed until 1976 (other series ). Now I get my question with this engine then at all an H registration? Vehicle is still registered in the NL which should be no problem to report it to in D. Many thanks in advance. MFG.Andy
