  • Caprice – Police execution = information?

    Hello! I have a question again to the experts for Nieschenfahrzeuge: What makes a 96 Caprice technically different from a “civil” Caprice? I mean now of course not the blue lights and the siren, but really technical differences, if there are any… I know that the car in question has a LT1 engine and an HD suspension. How reliable is the LT1, what characteristics does it have and what is a “HD” suspension? Questions about questions – thank you in advance s, Lutz

  • AC problem

    Tachchen people. Have a little problem with the climate at Buick. Since the Buick is in D, the climate no longer works. Have had it refilled now, and the pipes become really cold again, but the (I think that means) expansion valve does not open. Up to the valve the pipe gets really cold, and ́runs right. But after that is layer in the shaft. Is the valve kaput, or something else? How exactly does this valve work? 2 small pipes go I think they’re supposed to switch the valve.

    moin recently heard that the new c6 corvette is supposed to cost more than 70000 euro and should have a lot more ps than the c5. is that true?

    in order to get a bit of life in the forum again, here a proper discussion round why did you decide for a v6 and not for a v8 (which of course also reversed why v8 and net v6) were my reasons: 1. ami = must have v8, out of principle 2. the nevertheless enormous difference in performance 3. in insurance/tax not much expensive (bissel already, logically) 4. sprit consumption should not be extremely much more (were unfortunately convinced by the opposite ) 5. the sound, v8 is u 6th stroke is by nothing to replace only by even more stroke 7. wanted a real sports car (with the time I found that the camaro despite complete tuning is none, but a heavy cruiser that has enormous power, but was not built for German roads)

    …I haven’t been able to answer this question myself yet. My reason says Voyager, my heart says Astro. I’ve dealt very much with the topic of “large-space limousine”. Vito has the best seating arrangement ever (up to 9 single seats, all with three-point belts, that’s top) unfortunately not in my price range. Voyager (from 95/96) has an impossible seating arrangement. The “alleged triple bench” (last row) is far too small, and the 2nd row consists of only 2 seats. Astrovan has the best seats. bel at all (from 95/96) it is a normal 6 seater, which if you fold up the tables and armrests in 2nd and 3rd row to the 8 seater.
