Meals together, I’m new here in the forum and despair so slowly. I have a Smart 451 2010 MHD and this one is now really worrying me. To the problem: Regularly jumps out during the drive the gear or unplugs the car simply off or occasionally it just stays stuck in some gear and switches neither up nor down. What I have done up to now: New clutch + actuator, cable and plug checked, mass connections checked, gears learned (unfortunately not with Star diagnosis). When all this did not work out, I got an accident and exchanged further parts: GSG, gear, partly cable tree etc.! Also the battery is new but still it always hits this error again and again… Does someone have a similar problem or a tip or idea for me? Ideally it would be if someone from the area Dortmund/Unna could help me. Maybe someone near a Star Diagnosis device!? I’m curious about your answers and would really be happy about help! Currently no errors filed in the STG but then P08 is always present and sometimes there too.

Moin, I’ve had a 2001 Smart with original 71 TKM in my family here for 20 years now. I only drove to TÜV every two years for the last few years. Meanwhile, however, the topic of moisture and electronics is so overhand that I think about giving it away. TÜV also has only two months left. But if necessary someone can give me courage, actually I wanted to screw an H-mark on it. The vehicle has moisture topics everywhere (caseroom, footrooms). Moreover, due to the low use of the battery, you have to disconnect it, because after two three weeks it is empty (floating current?). In addition, the instrument lamp also flashes after pulling off the key. Otherwise it still drives well and looks great. The car is in Hamburg. Hello, At the moment I have a SMART 451 standing with me. The following problem: She drove into a roundabout and in the middle of it he went out, ESP/ABS lamp arrived and the infamous 3 bars came. Don’t start over the key anymore, Werkstatt said Starter was defective. I then brought him to me and see there, at the starter he can start directly. I then read out (see photo). Yesterday times power supply on the control unit checks everything in advance. Then the actuator was removed, he was extended, but could not be controlled with external power supply but no movement of the “bars”. Opened and see there, wave torn off. (See picture) Well my question, can it be already known? Because the error in the ESP control unit (first picture) makes me a bit stubborn. Or turns off the control unit or “emergency mode” if he notices a mistake? Thank you already

I got into my smart today and didn’t want this to work for this start, but it worked after a repeated start attempt. Unfortunately, no gear can be inserted any more and I don’t hear the actuator “turn on”, in addition, the ECO lamp flashes and the MKL lights up. If the engine is off but the ignition is on, the gears read in without any problems and the actuator can also be heard. Is there another way or does it have to be the clutch immediately? Hello friends, First of all: injectors are currently working well, glow plugs, battery and all filters are new. In the diesel circuit there is no air, rail pressure control valve and sensor have already been tested. Nevertheless, the car does not have a train in higher gears. In the first and second gear it accelerates decently (which I can’t really judge, because my first smart). But from the third gear it reacts already carrier and overtake on the highway at speed 100 only works laboriously and maximum in 5th gear. The 6th gear is currently only a number for me. Because I switch to the maximum when it goes down mountain. Maximum speed is – without slope – 120 with difficulty and in 5th gear. RPM meter unfortunately I have no in the car. My search result shows a few posts where the hose is mentioned by the charging air cooler as a cause. But I found no contribution that goes more precisely to it. Could it also be the turbo? How do I exclude this for sure? How would you proceed? At the corner down left of the LLK there is some oil.

I have just picked up our Brabus from the workshop of the Smart Specialists… they don’t know any more:-( He has already been renewed the clutch, the actuator and ECUs. Error message from the N3/10 unit: P886 Relay “K40/1kL” does not switch (Not every time…) Error message from the N15/6 unit: Relay “N10/10k9” does not switch (Always!) When it is parked on R it does not switch to N… and even if it has been parked on N it still doesn’t start. The actuator also makes only easy “Tak Tak”. After 2-3 minutes waiting time (but only when ignition!) it jumps easily and does not cause any problems even during the ride… If you leave the ignition on the fault remains. What can this be?

Hello guys! I wanted to ask myself how this is like as a student with the lease. I picked out a good offer (the smart forfour pure limited for 1000€) and would like to lease it with a deposit of 2000-300€ private. Monthly charge would be 100-150€. The money for this would be through savings and side job (designer/programmer), however more irregular (times 2 medium orders per month, times 1 big every 3 months..etc.), plus a fixed income from maintenance contracts n and cares of the parents (bin 21). I’m not Schufa or something, I’m financially on solid feet and would like to drive a practical, economical and safe small new car and after all who have tried out (corsa, mini…) the forfour is the suitable for me. 1. Question: Is leasing possible as a student in my situation? Would it like to do about me and not about a third party… 2. Question: Does it get financially profitable?
